Even celebrity paid shills admit that palmetto AKs beat themselves to death. Maybe it'll work, but it won't survive 4,000 rounds. As far as I can tell, they still frick themselves up over time. It's not a material problem, it's a build quality problem.
I don't buy anything except for small parts like detents, springs, etc but they're unironically solid for the money. I wouldnt expect the things to hold up forever, or to be super insanely accurate but it's a pretty hard value to beat. You can get a decent quality, accurate enough rifle that will be generally reliable for like $600. It's like the new balance of AR's.

You are so full of shit it's unreal. Sorry that your family seems to be a Vine instead of a tree. I've literally never come across issues like you have described in like eight rifles. Maybe you should consider killing yourself perhaps
Weird. I've been using PSA since 2017. My experience is exclusively their AR platforms. I've done an 80% build, a separate build on an aero lower, straight bought their gen 3 ar10, and rebarreled two shitkicker ar15s with PSA barrels. Every issue I've had was down to either the badly made 80 lower or improper assembly. My mate's 10.5 pistol has also been great. Most of the above guns have had a can on them, and all either ran fine as shipped or were easily tuned to eat everything from Tula to Real Frickin' NATO no problem.
Accuracy is... ok. I wouldn't say any of them are bad, 2-3 MOA is about what you can expect from them, maybe less with a nice trigger and ammo. I'm not a particularly good shot so I'm probably the wrong guy to ask on that.
They did do a questionable job on a warranty claim though.
So my lion's share of experience says they're perfectly acceptable as a budget gun, but you maybe should get a magpul vice block and a decent armorer's wrench(I like my Midwest, UTG was potmetal) with some of the money you save to double check their shit. If you want total peace of mind and/or just want to buy gucci rifle there's plenty of other companies that offer that. But if you're willing to sink some time, effort, and ammo into your gun to learn how it works, PSA is perfect. They are 100% the blue collar brand of the AR world.
Last thought, the customer uploaded pictures in the reviews have some fricking hilarious setups, please check them out for a good kek.
im a bit surprised to hear 2-3moa. ive been looking at some videos of the pa10 and they can usually get ~1in moa with the right ammo. ive only seen videos of the SS barrel thoguh. do you have the nitride barrel?
also a psa upper fits on an aero lower? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iZHQi-MnD94
this guy says its the reverse but idk if the m5e1 is significantly different.
also also wtf is that paint job?
idk if mine is really that bad, I have the stainless 20", like I said I'm a bad shot lol. But I feel like saying 3 moa is the upper bound for accuracy is fair, though rifles "should" be better than that in current day.
There isn't an established milspec like there is for the AR15 so while some companies' uppers/lowers might work together, it's a crapshoot and nobody has a comprehensive list and in any case a company can just change their spec at any time because there is none. There used to/is the DPMS "spec" but now DPMS is kill so yeah. If you're looking at getting and AR10 save yourself a mountain of trouble and at least get the upper and lower from the same company, if not the whole rifle.
I tried to do a girly hydro dip with old spray paint for the lulz in my old apartment bathtub but it came out really cursed lol. I painted over it later on.
>I tried to do a girly hydro dip with old spray paint for the lulz in my old apartment bathtub but it came out really cursed lol.

NoooooooooooooooooooOOOOOooooOOoooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!
The Delton is a HBAR barrel, so it's pretty fricking heavy
If you want a hbar barrel then you're good but if you want a lighter gun the psa will be lighter
psa dissys are honestly shit cause of psa costcutting and quality control.
psa uses standard ass midlength govt profile barrels for their dissys. this means that where the fsb sits is undersized theres going to be a 1 mm gap. this practice of using standard barrels to reduce cost isnt that bad bushmaster was able to do it fine. however when you combine this with the idiots working there its quite likely you will have a slightly canted fsb. you will return that shit multiple times before you get one that was assembled right.a canted fsb is a big deal considering the whole point of a dissy is ironsights.
psa dissys have the highest % of canted sights out of all psa products.
You should be happy that someone is offering this outdated and moronic setup. And you deserve all the associated issues for pursuing it. >verification not required
Uhh yeah, I love shooting my dissipator

I went to a furry con with a friend who was a gigantic furry, as support. Not a furry myself i was initially shocked at what they could get away with in public. They were selling porn and sex toys out in the vendor hall like it was just nothing, little kids wandering around staring at the degeneracy as their parents chatted up the vendors.
I decided to look through all the vendors and buy the most degenerate thing possible. I browsed through catalogs and portfolios and all kinds of shit to find out what is actually the worst thing on sale. There were used suit parts with sheathe holes or S&M bondage harnesses and whips, there was tons of furry vore or diaper shit or implied pedophilia bumper stickers, but nothing stood out more than this gay child-coded smaller sized dakimakura of a naked little boy furry. Congrats on also having the worst possible thing i could find at the only furry convention i went to.

that being said, I love my AR-10 from PSA, my buddy recently built an ar-15 from ttheir memorial sale and he said it's been great when he put 400 rounds through it in June after getting it. PSA is good to go for AR's.

Thank God, /k/ is back up. Now I can call you a fricking homosexual
the concept of a dissy is fine. its psa quality control thats the problem. eventually i did end up with an acceptable psa upper but if could do it again id rather spend an extra 50-100 on delton or hell buy a normal upper and drill my own holes to make a mock dissy than deal with psa bullshit ever again.you cant trust them to not frick it up.
https://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-20-chf-1-7-a2-rifle-length-556-prem-ar15-upper-assembly-no-bcg-ch.html >$500 (i think)
And depending on how paranoid you are you can get a Daniel defense bolt for $220 or two mid tier bolts. Throw an Aimpoint Comp m4 and I have a hard time seeing how that isn’t a 15,000 - 20,000 round rifle for about $1300 including the optic. But if you’re super super paranoid Id probably spend $1800 on a Daniel defense AR then an optic.
And to keep this on topic, here's what I ended up with zeroing my 16" PSA barrel today. IMI razor core(mk262 clone) at 100 yards. I know the rifle is more accurate than this, but I'm not good at precision.
For general purpose and fun? Absolutely.
The AR market went absolutely crazy during the Obama years. Tons of companies poured money into manufacturing because of the absurdly high demand. After Trump got into office demand cooled off and there was a TON of overstock. Anderson Manufacturing (aka Poverty Pony) even improved their machining practices. The bolts they make now are cut really well compared to how they used to be (it was Pakistan gun garage tier).
The vast majority of the big sellers settled into their updated machining they invested in years ago so the average AR is very decent. It has totally changed compared to 6+ years ago. Just make sure what you buy is assembled straight as there is always human error to worry about.
If average moron wants an A2 front sight he probably doesn't have the means to tap and drill it. I'd go as far to say that a ton of people don't even have a bench vice.
You can still get assembled uppers with an A2 sight and put it on a built lower for cheaper than retail but if you don't have a bench vice you've got bigger problems with your life
I bought a 16" Upper with an MLok handguard about a month ago and I've probably got close to 2k through it and I really like it. I bought it to goof around with and build on so I'll probably end up replacing everything as I'm able.
The rounds I put through it are all reloads and I've definitely had a few issues with a round not detonating, but that's more of an issue with the ammo I made. They don't like extracting sometimes after they fail to detonate but I always get them out by smacking the butt on the bench while yanking on the charging handle.
All things considered, well worth what I paid. Pretty good poor man build.
Absolutely. I always try to be as careful as possible. I measure everything at every stage of the process. The only thing I don't do is crimp the neck. Because, why?
I really think it's my ammo. And it hasn't happened in awhile. But if it gets bad I'll definitely warranty.
I'm also pretty new to reloading and haven't had tons of experience with malfunctions so I could be totally wrong. Have you run into anything like this before? My BCG seems to be fine. I took it apart and compared it to my M&P Sport BCG and it looks to be ok.
Only their high end stuff and why spend that much money when there are better brands at similar prices? Their cheap stuff works... or not. Cheap firearms break sooner or later. But it is cheap, so if you want to get a training AR for friends, a SHTF option, a hog/cayote/racoon rifle or a """""""gift"""""" to someone of the proper age and skin complexity, then why not? You shouldn't rely on a Palmetto and a Palmetto shouldn't be your only item.
I got picrel. I've only put a few hundred rounds through it, but so far so good. I haven't used a Daniel Defense or anything really high end, so I can't compare.
Yeah
Never I would Never Trade Cousin Itt for anything PSA has to offer
if you can’t afford better, yeah
And even when you can.
My 3 PSA ARs are better than your one Gucci.
do you have 6 arms to shoot with?
my wife does. pic related
Yeah. If you’re looking for an affordable semi auto it’s really either that or a Kel-Tec.
You can build a rifle for less then the cost of a used glock. Do you think it's worth it?
I don't think used Glock are worth it
Me neither, so I built an AR.
They manufacture the best AKs and their ARs are just as good as KAC or even LMT
>best AK’s

They're great as far affordable plinking rifles/carbines, but my own PSA AR-9 has a problem with the retention pin falling out.

Any standard forged upper should fit any standard forged lower.
idk if mine is really that bad, I have the stainless 20", like I said I'm a bad shot lol.
I thought it was supposed to be covered in zombie puree.
>I painted over it later on.
NoooooooooooooooooooOOOOOooooOOoooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!
I have a psa ar 15 and ar 10. Both have treated me well.
How is their dissipator vs delton?
What a moronic post
>namegay defending the dissipator
lol
Uhh yeah, I love shooting my dissipator
I have so many fricking ARs of all barrel lengths and types
Post guns
>AND he's a furgay
bro just stop, I'm lmaoing @ ur life
>aero lower
>that horrible handguard
>streamlight
>ctr stock
>magpul buis that are blocked by the optic
Bro...
I'm 99% sure if I reverse image search this, it's gonna go back to a reddit post
I have a tool in the grip to remove optic if necessary. Of course a throw lever mount is more ideal but this is me trying out the lpvo thing so I wasn't going to blow money out my ass trying something. Handguard and light have been fine so far. Brandgayging about a lower rollmark is peak consoomer, ya hate to see it.
wow you spent more money than me that's so fricking cool dude, just wow. omg.
>entire gun chinkshit
grip, stock, handguard, lower, backup irons, and can all clearly from US companies. Not that that particularly matters, since I never implied my rifle was a flex, but now you're like 0 for 4 in this thread. Christ. Post brass deflector, this is your chance to either gain a crumb of redemption or be eternally btfo.
thanks mate.
>handguard
i'm pretty sure you post on reddit
>aero lower bad
NOOOOOOO YOU CAN'T BUY A CHEAP AND RELIABLE LOWER IT HAS TO BE LMT
Holy shit I just noticed that's a burris lpvo also
The t2 on that rifle alone cost more than twice what your shitty chink lpvo cost
Your entire gun is chinkshit and you're trying to flex it kek
>burris is chinkshit
made in Colorado
no it isn't moron
If you didnt know, BigC is actually Mrcrummypaws. Dog fricker finally got banned.
i'm not banned?
>furgay
unironically have a nice day you freak
Rude UwU
Congrats on also having the worst possible thing i could find at the only furry convention i went to.
>i'm not a furry but i went to a furcon
>i'm not a furry but i bought a daki
this is the biggest load of horse shit i've read all week
fricking pussy ass b***h ass furry
i live so rent free in your head you had to make this homosexual ass story up
get your fricking red.dit ass covid build the frick outta here Black person, go post that shit on red.dit where some homosexual will stroke your wiener with an upvote, we don't want it here
your shit is trash
>you don't shoot
i spent the entire day shooting Black person
>mate
go the frick back to red.dit you stupid Black person and take your piece of shit poorgay covid build with you
i bet you came here either when covid started or when the ukraine war started, you're garbage and your gun is garbage
i also love sucking wiener
>he doesn't like sucking wiener
get a load of this homosexual
tripgays are universally insufferable
where is the tripgay?
Huh, what's going on? What is this? Who am I? What are you?
Well there it is. Fully and utterly rekt, a furry tripgay reduced to angry autistic screeching as he is unable to post a non pristine brass deflector. Thank you for playing, this was wonderful to wake up to. I hope you go to therapy.
been around since 2013 😉
why are all trip gays on /k/ fricking furries? is it narcissism because they're homosexuals?
it's the only answer that makes sense. our ancestors had it right, gays deserve to burn at the stake
you're preaching to the choir anon, homosexuals provide no beneficial perks to society, they are only a detrimental force. they spread diseases faster than any other demographic and they want to frick your kids
that being said, I love my AR-10 from PSA, my buddy recently built an ar-15 from ttheir memorial sale and he said it's been great when he put 400 rounds through it in June after getting it. PSA is good to go for AR's.
>y-you lost ok!
no, you lost when you built that shitty ass gun entirely off red.dit recommendations
i'v been here way longer than you btw
cry for me b***h
furries run the internet, get used to it
i never said the aero lower is bad, i said that's literally the red.dit meta, he could not have built a more red.dit gun than that
it's the poorgay special complete with poorgay optic and poorgay light
i'm amazed he even posted such a generic PSA built piece of shit, i'd hide that
i'm not about ARs tho, sure i have a frick ton of them but they're kinda boring, even if they are literally the best gun ever made
i still prefer HK roller guns over everything
Thank God, /k/ is back up. Now I can call you a fricking homosexual
the concept of a dissy is fine. its psa quality control thats the problem. eventually i did end up with an acceptable psa upper but if could do it again id rather spend an extra 50-100 on delton or hell buy a normal upper and drill my own holes to make a mock dissy than deal with psa bullshit ever again.you cant trust them to not frick it up.
I want an AR to survive a long period of time where replacement parts are impossible to get. What maker has the best QC?
you could buy one really good rifle or for the same money you could buy 3 PSA rifles. Gucci rifles don't last 3x longer than a basic milspec PSA.
I have a spreadsheet of AR builds I made a bit ago. I think bang for your buck would be
https://www.aeroprecisionusa.com/m16a4-clone-complete-lower-anodized-black
>$275
https://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-20-chf-1-7-a2-rifle-length-556-prem-ar15-upper-assembly-no-bcg-ch.html
>$500 (i think)
And depending on how paranoid you are you can get a Daniel defense bolt for $220 or two mid tier bolts. Throw an Aimpoint Comp m4 and I have a hard time seeing how that isn’t a 15,000 - 20,000 round rifle for about $1300 including the optic. But if you’re super super paranoid Id probably spend $1800 on a Daniel defense AR then an optic.
Anon can you share said spreadsheet? I want to build one as well.
>where replacement parts are impossible to get
So buy a cheap AR and a few boxes of parts to put in your stash.
No complaints
PSA ARs are fine, just remember that they are the budget option.
And to keep this on topic, here's what I ended up with zeroing my 16" PSA barrel today. IMI razor core(mk262 clone) at 100 yards. I know the rifle is more accurate than this, but I'm not good at precision.
you should be zeroing for 100 yards at the 25 yard line bud
PSA is fine.
Their uppers are the baseline for AR15 rifles.
I've had good luck with PSA. I own two daggers and I'm picking up a JAKL tomorrow.
Yes it is just as good.
That's clearly a fricking 300 blackout in the 223 rifle do you think we're stupid or something?
this
ar's don't just explode like that. they're literally the same metallurgic composition as any other brand.
>bolt and gas key MIA
Yeah I'm quite sure it was the upper and not Bubba's pissing hot possum popper handload.
frick outta here.
Cope and seethe you just as good Black person
unless you're doing competitions or commando special ops larping shit, it will be good to go
the average joe who just wants to plink, defend his house or pop varmints will do just fine with a PSA
Is there any better option for a 20in nonrailed upper than the PSA premium? BCM?
isnt BCM on the expensive side now and you don't even get anything better, it's just on par
Just make sure what you buy is assembled straight as there is always human error to worry about.
>buy is assembled
or buy parts and assemble it yourself
>buy parts and assemble it yourself
Most people can't or won't do this for various reasons but yea, that's the way to go.
I don't see why not it's pretty simple and it'll save you hundreds compared to retail
If average moron wants an A2 front sight he probably doesn't have the means to tap and drill it. I'd go as far to say that a ton of people don't even have a bench vice.
>means to tap
???
dont talk about shit you dont know about theres no part of a fsb install that needs a tap
You can still get assembled uppers with an A2 sight and put it on a built lower for cheaper than retail but if you don't have a bench vice you've got bigger problems with your life
factory assembled if it's a good company will prevent any frickups on your end along with providing a warranty
Pic related
Call them and tell them that and they will probably send you a new extractor for free.
I really think it's my ammo. And it hasn't happened in awhile. But if it gets bad I'll definitely warranty.
just checking are you actually resizing cartridges before reloading?
Absolutely. I always try to be as careful as possible. I measure everything at every stage of the process. The only thing I don't do is crimp the neck. Because, why?
I'm also pretty new to reloading and haven't had tons of experience with malfunctions so I could be totally wrong. Have you run into anything like this before? My BCG seems to be fine. I took it apart and compared it to my M&P Sport BCG and it looks to be ok.
I have a psa lower and it it's trigger and it's spring and buffer is better than my ruger.
