is pantsir best drone killer? it proved its worth against tb2 combat drones. basically pantsirs paralyzed ukranie's whole tb2 fleet.

>drone killer
>can kill only something as big as a WW2 plane
A Bayraktar and a P-47 are about the same size, anon
only in wingspan, a p-47 is twice the length and 10 times the weight.
Probs til M-SHORAD maybe TEWS comes out yeah, but it's not as though there's a lot of competition for that niche rn. Also no real reason it's much better than like Wiesel 2/Tunguska in the role, it's basically just SHORAD not PAD
Oh hey! Been awhile, must've been a 30 day ban. Anyway no the Pants-shitter S1 is not a good system and has failed to eliminate Ukraine's bayraktar fleet.
Not necessarily good but still best due to capability gap in most major armies. For the US rn it's basically shoulder-fired Stingers or throw rocks at it until new SHORAD assets become available. Rest of NATO isn't really much better.
Better deployment of them forced the Ukrainian drones to limit themselves to recon work. Only with the adoption of the anti-radiation HARM missile did the Ukranian drones go back to attacking roles.
whenever this retarded vatnik posts, tb2 causes some enormous damage somewhere.
maybe against some moutain garden gnome, armenian churkas.
anyone know why 60s era AA does so much better then the modern shit Russia puts out today?
because they were built in Ukraine...
I am serious, its down to who built the gear, the ukrainians were the brainy bunch in the USSR and their technical skills made things far better than modern russians can do. That and the fact most of the software russia is probably using is outsourced to china.
Explain why Ukraine never recovered their supposed industrial and engineering might.
it did keep it to an extent, but after the break up most smart sane people with technical skills went to western Europe or the US for jobs. Loads of engineers from ukraine ended up in the UK for example working on power projects. Ukraine did keep quite a few of their technical specialists and did try to develop improvements to soviet tech into the 2000s with all sorts of upgrades for T-72s, fighter jets, missiles etc. They just werent widely adopted locally due to budget constraints.
didn't have the resources from the rest of the USSR. if they had less corruption they'd have been able to build back up better, buuuut it was convenient for russia to have a corrupt govt that served their interests, so they couldn't really do much until recently.
granted they're still corrupt but they've actually produced some fairly decent tech recently. newer BTR-4 variants, the Stugna and the new tank upgrades aren't bad at all, although they're not as fancy as NATO stuff
their upgrades for the BMP are fantastic, but unfortunately not many nations bought their tech. if I recall Thailand had an order with Ukraine for a massive order of T-80 tanks with major upgrade packages but they had to cancel to allow the Ukrainian government to use the vehicles instead for their defense.
I remember that. Not the circumstances that halted the sale, but I do remember that. Sounds about right tbh
Ukraine's sold all sorts of gear to african / asian nations over the years but no one ever hears about it because its all legacy gear from the Soviet Union, at least someones keeping the stuff updated better then the russians.
Oh yeah, right. I remember that they gave the DRC T-64s. Wonder how that went, given how much of a nightmare they are to maintain? Can't be easy for poorly trained personnel
from memory the factory usually sends over parts kits and trainers with orders so it wouldnt be surprising if it went fairly smoothly.
yeah that would make sense. comment was mostly directed at the DRC's maintenance crews though. the T-64 was a bitch to maintain even for well-trained soviet engineers and I'd imagine the DRC doesn't have a fraction of the resources to allocate to maintenance training. hopefully it goes well though. I do like the T-64
it depends on which version DRC bought, if it was the modernized version then the major issues with the transmissions and engines were fixed as well as with fire controls. The old shitboxes from storage however only got basic rebuilds from the factory.
for their sake I hope it was the newer one
countermeasures were way worse or non existent
just look at aircraft losses in yom kippur war (1973) compared to the first lebanon war (1982)
post pantsir memes
Probably not.
I noticed you keep switching up you images nowadays.
You can keep using the old one, it's practically your brand by now.
>basically pantsirs paralyzed ukranie's whole tb2 fleet
up untill the moment that they figured out that under previous ownership, the establishment was infact in business of SUCKING AND FUCKING
>this pasta again
oh man, ban must be up, huh? i look forward to the starstreak doesn't work, all nato weapons have been sold on the black market and my favorite, javelin doesn't work
many videos of these shitty go-go gadgets wizzbang bloatware machinery being blown up by tb2, heres a hint, if its designed post soviet collapse, its dogshit
Armatard sucks donkey dicks.
