Some things to consider before going /innawoods/ with gear. Research property lines and make sure you're not trespassing or else you're going to have a bad time. Also, if you are a >comply kind of person, check your local laws regarding carrying during "outdoor activities". Also, be sure to stay away from any roadways, parks, schools, etc that may have people witnessing your autism (seriously, you don't want a "concerned citizen" calling the cops on you and you end up in cuffs because of "public concern")

That's bullshit. It's the responsibility of property owners to properly post their property. You have to leave if they ask you to, but until then you can go into any woods that aren't posted. I have hiked, hunted, shot, camped, bushwhacked, practiced survival skills, larped, etc across thousands of square miles of forest in ten states in my lifetime and I've never once had any issues with a landowner. I have never checked property ownership and it's not my responsibility, YOU need to post it. I don't give a flying frick about your land.

You should be grateful enough that I would stay off of it if it WERE posted. Nn expecting anything more than that is unreasonable. I'm not wasting my time trying to figure out property lines just to avoid offending morons I don't even know who are too fat to take a walk around their property every few years to put up some signs. You shouldn't even be allowed to own undeveloped woodland to begin with, all of it should be public land by default just like in Scandinavia.

shooting dogs is not worth it. you never know what kind of pyscho the owner is. my brother in law is dead now because he shot a dog on his lawn and the owner came back and shot up his house

Completely inaccurate. It is absolutely your responsibility to determine whether or not you're going to be on private property. Trespassing with a firearm is a felony.

I don't care. I will go into any woods I want if it's not clearly marked as private property. Nature belongs to everyone. I shoot back.
