These are not real palletes. These are cargo-cult palletes, like these straw airplanes made by pacific tribesmen .

They do keep the ammo off of the wet ground/floor. If they don't have the requisite forklift certified infrastructure in place, forklift pallets are useless.

they probably don't have a lot of artillery in place anymore in that area. There's been pictures of whole battery of MSTA-S being captured etc. Ukies pushed far into russian rear so fast that they didn't have time to move arty away, and there doesn't seem to be much arty left anywhere nearby. Airforce could, but I would not be surprised if they are both scared to go for those target, and that they might just not know the locations due to shit communications.

the cobra radar they just got from germany can be linked up to a PzH2k, if it locates shelling it can calculate the source, send the data to the PzH2k and (if loaded) it can in turn fire upon the source even before the shell lands.

Depending on the force of impact wearing a seatbelt could cause your neck to snap

if they are useful for a car they would be useful for a tank, no?

                Anonymous

the crew in the turret usually needs to move around so a seatbelt is not practical and just restricts movement
They also hamper escape when your tank is burning so
IFS do have seatbelts for the dismounts though I think

Nooooooooo no no no. Tank/BMP/Humvee/IFVs are NOT meant to have seatbelts. If you need seatbelts in any of those, you are dead anyway. Why? because those vehicles don't react the same way as cars do when they crash. Cars are made to deform and absorb as much energy from impacts as possible. It's how you get to live sometimes in good cars if you crash a wall at 40-50 even 60 KM/h. For the military vehicles that are built to withstand projectiles, an impact at even 10-20 km/h is fatal. Nothing deforms or absorbs energy, which means the people inside absorb the impact as if they were the ones smacking into that wall. So, the people inside that tank? most likely dead

                Anonymous

MRAPS have seatbelts in them. Stops you getting chucked around inside them, when it goes over an IED or mine.
Casspir in South Africa in the 80s went over a triple stacked soviet anti-tank mines. The whole vehicle was thrown 50 feet and ended upside down. Because everyone was strapped in properly and wearing helmets, the only injury was to the driver, who had his thumb driven through his forearm up to the elbow.

                >an impact at even 10-20 km/h is fatal
20 km/h is the speed you reach after falling for 1.57 meters. You might break your neck if you are unlucky but you are highly unlikely to sustain major injuries even if you faceplant into concrete.
And 10 km/h is 0.39 meters, if you are a senior then you might break your hip bone and die, I'll give that to you.

Tanks can't express surrender. These guys are fleeing for their lives, they have a better chance rolling off and taking some broken bones, being tended to by Ukrainian forces, and taken as a prisoner of war, than either getting JUST'ed by AT in a few minutes or even making it back home and then having to turn around right back into the meatgrinder again.

that looks bad, but i hope the ukies are not getting too streched out doing that

        Anonymous

        They know what they're doing.

My guess is that Russians moved in a lot of equipment to the front and had a thin line of stretched out defense. Ukraine targeted the bridges behind the enemy lines so they cannot move their vehicles back nor have reinforcements link up. Now they're cheesing through the remnants of Russians trapped inside and will continue to take in more and more territories and wipe out the remaining Russians until they reach a threshold where they will hold out and establish another beach head.

Russians ofcourse wont sit by, but they cant do anything in the frontlines now. They will have to shore up secondary lines of defense or else the entire eastern flank may collapse.

While above is Ukraine's general goal, the specific goal may simply be to cut off the major railway supplies and chokehold the entire eastern region. This would be extremely bad for Russia. We'll see how it goes.
