other than a couple matching parts that were made by china that included a straight up AR receiver, glock switches, and random parts like magazine catches & barrels for a zipgun: no
you might as well be asking if a nerf gun can be converted into a real firearm

Nta but I've heard the procedure with those is to drive out the steel blocking pins in the barrel, then drill it to accommodate a smaller caliber barrel liner like .32

Swap out the barrel completely, caliber .32 is preferred, there's chunks of the slide missing on the inside that you will have to fill up with files to shape steel squares, you might also have to make a feed ramp.
Also you need to bend a part of the magasin to fit real ammo.

          >need to drill shit/cast metal barrel
          >put barrel in like barrel liner
usually they use some low powered caliber and are prone to jam a lot, in europe you get lot of news where some sandperson starts blasting with these and they jam after few rounds of rapid fire, but after more sandpersons came and suddenly we are having bigger blackmarket than before with properly made weapons AKs, Tokarevs, glocks and just lot of ww2 or postwar weapons

there was huge black market weapon factory in spain few years ago which bought huge piles of old surplus parts or weapon parts which had removed some parts and made them working, mostly spanish army weapons, thats why you see still cetmes popping up somewhere

those aren't air guns like the OP image, they're blank guns. They function the exact same way as a real one, except the barrel is partially blocked and construction is weakened.

I've heard some rumors that some of the Turkish blank guns are designed in a way that makes conversions very easy, the idea being that they export them to places like Yemen, Iraq and Syria as legal blank guns and then they only need to smuggle essential parts like barrels and such to assemble them into fully functional guns. If you follow the online traffic in those countries you'll often see some models come up again and again like the Ekol Tuna and the Akdal Ghost TR02 (the infamous O'Glock)

This is probably true. At least, that would explain why most converted guns seized by the police are from turkey.

Bongs and other noguns euros used to convert those “traumatic” non leather handguns into shitty blowbacks but those were hardly safe/accurate. I don’t think a co2 air gun could realistically be converted and you would be better off building one from scratch

Yes, very easily if you get a sig/gsg .22 conversion kit and a correct enough base 1911 copy. Now that they have successfully fired printed 1911s I'm curious if you could get away with firing .45 out of a converted bb frame.

      Anonymous

3D printed 1911's use a normal upper and normal inner parts, including aluminum or steel rail inserts. The only thing they print is the lower housing. Everything else is mostly stock (minus things like the grip safety being removed).

The airsoft ones I'm thinking of are aluminium, the lower parts function, you just need to put a real hammer spring in and a real slide on. Takes some filing on the rails to let the slide fit.

  10. 1 month ago

Yes. Just make sure you replace the frame, receiver, barrel, magazine, trigger assembly, slide, recoil system, hammer, and sights with parts from a real gun.

IDK but I know the guy who uploaded that youtube video about the ring magazine .22 handgun converted one of those zinc Daisy Berettas into a semi auto .22 beretta 92. He removed it and no one seems to have a backup and it still makes me wish I downloaded it while it was up.

I'll have to message him one day. Seems like I'm the only one on earth that fucking remembers that video sometimes. Went to look for it as I wanted to look at one of those Daisy Berettas in person to see how the hell it was even possible and I didn't remember the specific model. There was one other anon who knew exactly what I was talking about which is why I even connected the fact that it was the same guy. He won't (or didn't want to in the past) release the files for the cool ring gun though so who knows how it will go.

It's possible but requires almost as much gunsmithing work if not more than making a 3D printed firearm from scratch and partial parts kits. So no, the average Europoor won't be able to do it without getting their hands on parts that are already controlled devices like barrels.

There's no fully printed equivalent to this. At most there's the Y22 or whatever. Printed designs without a factory slide are absolute chonkers in pistol format.

              Anonymous

I didn't say there were equivalents, I was speaking about the amount of actual manufacturing work you'd have to do to make it work.

                Anonymous

Currently, you're of shit out of luck if you want a semi-auto fully printed handgun design capable of doing 9mm Mak or equivalent. There's no amount of manufacturing work that can overcome lack of design so you'll have to do the design work on top of it.
The reason criminals have used airsoft or blank guns as the basis for conversions isn't just because they're orc tier at manufacturing, it's because 90% of the design work is done. You skip hours of drawing and constructing jigs to make parts.

it's a viable option, and some of the asian and turkish produced airsoft and airguns can absolutely with a number of hours of work be converted to fire real cartridges. Barrels and barrel liners are going to be the second biggest limiting factor after cartridge acquisition.

This glows. The only parts that could even be used in the "conversion" are the frame/housing.

  19. 1 month ago

Depends entirely on the airsoft gun and what you intend to convert it into. The ATF has been confiscating Taiwanese "Airsoft" lowers that are made to the exact specs of stripped lowers for awhile now.

      Anonymous

Can they get away with making those as long the metal itself of the lower isn't appropriate for firearm use? Air gun people get around selling suppressors for them because they're made of weak materials like plastic, aluminum, foam, etc and thus can only be used in airguns that do not generate heat

        Anonymous

Nope, they don't even have to do that. Even "above ground" airsoft manufacturers like Tokyo Marui use 7075 CNC aluminum for their airsoft rifles. The big manufacturers typically make sure the inside isn't able to fit a fire control group without heavy modification though.

        Anonymous

I can't see how that would fly as you can literally make a functional ar lower out of soft wood, legos, printed plastic etc.

its only possible with one airsoft gun, its a APS made gas blowback shotgun, its actually banned in the us because it can easily be converted to take real shells, if you buy it, it will be confiscated as soon as it arrives in the us, but its only the old gens, you can only do it on the old gens, which are obviously banned, and before any of you cunts say it yes i know i sound like a fed, i play airsoft a lot thats how i know
