Is it allowed to wear body armor to school (college)? I don't need it for anything, but it's fun to LARP as I have no friends.

i think the likelihood of you getting into some sort of misunderstanding is way more likely than you actually be saved by its protective qualities.

If you really want body armor, just go with a full plate carrier, but only keep it in your room and away from anyone else you don't trust with your life.
Since you're on PrepHole we can safely assume you're a no lifer so if a shooting does occur, you'll be in your room and can just put it on then.
But that means you're just going to get shot by police anyway because they'll assume you're the shooter unless you're running around with your hands up everywhere.
      Have fun with college life.

How did you not get expelled from elementary school for drawing a gun in art and craft class? Of course it's not allowed you autismus maximus (or at least very frowned upon, even when there's no rules that explicitly forbids it)

Maybe you’d get away with it if he was reasonably suspicious but some people it’s just fashion. Otherwise you broke the law, brandished a firearm, and unlawfully detained someone.

if you see a guy wearing a plate carrier in public (a place that has nothing to do with guns) and not exercising since they also double as weight vests for resistance training there is reason to be alarmed. But tactical clothing? No. You’re a fricking weirdo

Why are you asking this? I highly doubt you'll find anything in your student handbook against this. Then again, I'm from the state where universities MUST allow concealed carry or their public funding will be pulled.

Anything is allowed if you don't get caught. If you're talking about wearing a concealable soft armor Vest then if you do a good job of hiding it, no harm no foul. If you're talking full kit sans gun then that will definitely raise alarm bells, even if there's nothing explicitly forbidding it. If you do get found out either way people will give you a hard time for it, even if nothing else happens. It's a free country, though your school isn't free...

Just get a soft panel and slide it into your backpack, most backpacks have a laptop compartment that should work. I have one in my bag and nobody can even see it with the bag open.

Why does the USA have such weird specific rules that do not seem to matter at all?
If i saw off my permitted shotgun to be the lenght of a pistol the only thing that happens to me is people laughing because i wasted a perfectly good firearm.
If i walk around with level 4 body armor all day everywhere the only thing that will happen to me is that i'll be drenched in sweat.
Is it just democrats trying to win ground wherever they can?

most schools ban the wearing of body armor unless youre authorized to by the school (security, cop)
but not all schools ban the possession of it, so you might be able to get away with carrying a soft armor panel in a backpack.
companies like botach sells such things for like $50

if you do wear armor/carry, make sure you shut your mouth about it and try to be as low vis as possible, also don't start any trouble or be around any troublemakers.
all it takes is for one idiot to start spreading rumors and all the chicken littles start panicking and a cop starts looking for your ass to get a paid vacation.
