For years I've read anons replies as "an fahl" when they type "an FAL" ("an eff-ay-ell"). Don't know why but I find it funny how wrong it sounds. Maybe it started with some xbox live MW2 voice chat morons I ran into, who knows. I do remember from MW2 voice chat, "the effin' fail".

I say fahl. The real question is, car-byne or car-bean

      Anonymous

I've always pronounced it "Effin Fal" (with the 'a' as in 'apple')
I also pronounce Steyer AUG as "Stay-er Ay-You-Gee".

      "Car-byne".
The only people I've heard call it "car-bean" are bearded, tattoo-plastered vets who want me to take their classes and thank them for their cervix. They get pissed if you call it "car-byne", which I do. Frick 'em.

Most importantly, where are the fricking metric steel mags?

It was me, Barry. I hid them all up OP's ass to make him think he was constipated.

It's Fusil Automatique Léger you uneducated- oh you mean the acronym, it's F-A-L is in each word is separate, you don't say "ack47" when you mean AK47, and you don't say "akim" for AKM do you?

What about the FN Scar then? Do you say S-C-A-R or scar? For those that do not know the scar is a acronym for Special Operations Forces CombatAssaultRifle

F A L. You don't call it a Fin Faal because FN is said as F N. Only moronic boomers call it a Faal because they have a lot of moronic speech impediments.

eff-ay-el the first time it's brought up in a conversation. Fahl for the rest. eff-ehn fahl for once off references.

also the correct pronunciation for the SLR is "Slur", because it's an insult of a rifle
