Yes, especially if you are otherwise unemployable. Just stand around lol. Take a night shift somewhere and work on your credits.

I know a guy that's making 56k a year to start, he said he could make 70-80k to start. Most people work for his company are ex-military or former law enforcement, though.

        >he said he could make 70-80k to start
        So why isn't he?
        >Most people work for his company are ex-military or former law enforcement, though.

99 times out if 100, no. It pays like shit (only very slightly more than unarmed) and you'll be doing security in shit places where you need to be armed. The only armed security that will pay okay is if you have former military or law enforcement experience.
Seriously you'll be making like $17/hr to possibly be shot at by Jamal, instead of $16/hr to fall asleep in a golf cart and maybe tell some skateboarders to piss off.

Until you're in a situation where you need to draw a weapon to save yourself. Then no so much. You might as well enter a police academy and become an officer, especially at the State Trooper level. Then you'll have all sorts of job security, better pay, real benefits, a union that will back you up now matter how hard you frick up. You might even get lucky and get shot, then retire with a full pension and benefits at the age of 30.

    > tl;dr - No.

Depends really, if you are of sound mental mind, it’s a good gig for little work. But i’ve known plenty of zoomers to just abandon post because their adhd brains couldn’t handle standing in the same spot or doing the same rotations for 8 hours without being able to use twitter

Worked in security back in 2000s.
Won't go into detail but we got an offer you can't refuse. Sold the VIP and left the country the same day.

As others have said, the pay is absolute dogshit compared to the risk, also if you DO actually hafto use your weapon, you'll likely be fired in response.

Depends. Look into PSO work, it's the same shit as a security guard just federal. I get paid 42$hr plus 7$health and welfare paid out to frick around on my phone all day.
