No because I can't get it. It's shit.

All subsonic rifle cartridges are the same damn thing. The only thing that makes one better than another is availability, making 300blk the best.

I mean from a military perspective, not civilian availability. Do armor piercing 300 blk projectiles compare favorably in terms of being able to punch through a helmet or body armor?

yeah, mr guns and gear tested 300blk subs and they went through iiia helmet

Through 3a, yes. I'm sure a 300blk AP round could be developed but western militaries haven't given enough of a shit to do it.

subsonic is all about weight so 9x39 is still probably better more energy larger diameter and they're designed to tumble

Armor penetration is best achieved with velocity, if velocity is capped, kinetic energy has nothing to do with it, bullet materials is your biggest factor now, and a smaller diameter would do better.

You don't necessarily need a small diameter. You could pen lvl 4 with a subsonic .950 JDJ if the projectile had similar shape to a .375 Cheytac. High sectional density doesn't just mean "thin".

if you're using subsonic ammo you should be relying on sneak attack critical which ignore armor

Well, from a military perspective, the only nations that actually field body armor are NATO. And if you're trying to do anything beyond iiia, level IV plates stop 30-06 AP, so I'm fairly certain level IV plates couldn't give a frick about some subs.

And the fact that 300blk can effectively use real light for caliber supers, and heavy for caliber subs, in a gas gun, most other rounds can only do supers or subs reliably.

No, that's 45 ACP, the best subsonic, supersonic, and hypersonic pistol round

45acp suppresses like dogshit out of a pistol.
loud as frick unless the suppressor is massive and filled with water.
      t. has more suppressors than he knows what to do with

45cal hole too big for suppressor. Very loud.

What is this round intended for?

It was created along side the Ash-12 after the Beslan terrorist attack in 2004. It was intended to shoot through solid walls and the toughest body amour without over penetrating. It has the same velocity as most pistols.

    No.
Also subsonic cartridges are only useful within a very specific niche. You give up a lot in making in them subsonic, and compared to a rifle round 300BLK subs and 9x39 are piss poor.
    >but muh AP!
The 9x39 tungsten core stuff will not penetrate hard armor.
