Spoken like a true simpleton not being able to discern between a 30+y/o male with a beer gut appendix carrying a P225 and an obese melanoid CCing a Draco.
This is 100% a lie. It's literally the other way around. Stop it.
In my opinion, no. I used to carry a G29. That is one thick bitch. Unless you really need 10mm powah for bears or something. 9mm is superior for CC due to size.
Same here. Centimeter believers tend to be grounded in reality and there's a lot of us that used to carry the 29. As cool as 10mm is, it's not meant to be in a small gun.
is it worth going through the trouble of trading a .45 for a 10mm pistol?
Depends on your taste. What I love about 10 is the versatility. You have the real hot stuff ofc, but you don't have to always shoot that. The glocks can shoot 40 s&w without a conversion barrel if mag fed. 45 is probably better if you have a can and don't need the capacity or outright power.
Not that anon, but...
The g29 is the size of a g19, not a 26. The g29 grip is shorter than a g19, but its about the same size. You can't go any smaller with a 10mm really. The short grip always bothered me too for such a powerful round. It should be a G29X or something with a longer grip. Not the add a grip shit for mags.
>The g29 is the size of a g19,
Glock 19 is a compact. Glock 29 is a sub compact.

Do more research. I know it's a sub compact for that cailber. There is no compact for the 10mm in Glock. It goes from full-size 20 to the 29.

It's pretty substantially smaller.
I've owned both and compared them side by side. I know.

No, it isn't. Most holsters for a Glock 29/30 will fit a Glock 19 as well. They are essentially the same size. A quarter inch difference in length and height doesn't mean shit.

In my opinion, no. I used to carry a G29. That is one thick bitch. Unless you really need 10mm powah for bears or something. 9mm is superior for CC due to size.
>Is 10mm superior for concealed carry?
10mm punches through the person and doesn't dump all the energy into a person, .45 does. >How much better would it stop an adrenaline-fueled threat at a close range?
Way better than 9mm, but I would trust myself with the compact .45 glock with underwood extreme defender ammunition, because a guy apparently killed another man with that exact ammunition I listed and it was a one shot stop to the upper chest near the shoulder, that round dumps all its energy and churns up tissue at the same time.
no
first of all you'll never go through this
second of all train to get proper shot placement and you won't have to worry, which you won't do if you have 10mm
The only appeal of pistols is the ability to put a bunch of rounds on target, unless you train like a motherfucker, higher recoil calibers defeat that purpose.
literally every cartridge is under loaded by manufacturers though. that's how liability incentivizes companies to load their ammunition. 10mm is not special in this regard. for instance, federal makes 158g 357 mag that goes 1250 fps. the same bullet weight loaded by buffalo bore goes 1500 fps and that's a gigantic difference. buffalo bore 357 mag isn't "+p" or anything (that designation doesn't exist for 357), they just load closer to the saami max.
If you miss the brain, spinal cord or upper thoracic vitals, it won't matter if it's 9mm, 10mm or .45. Shot placement, adequate penetration and a reliably expanding bullet. That's all that matters.
10mm is an execution caliber along with .357 Magnum and .44 Magnum. They are chosen by real men to guarantee a mortal wound. Once you get a taste for carrying execution loads it's hard to even look at 9mm, .45 or .40 seriously
>execution caliber
lmao, no. .380, 9mm, and .38 ACP are the real execution calibers and have killed more men individually than .357, 10mm, and .44 have combined.
Never know when that finger is gonna have a spasm and paint your drywall.

Bro, you don’t have to have the camera in front of your face you know
hows the ballistics and handling of compact canons like that? I figure its the same as when people want snubnose magnums, the short barrel doesnt give you the proper velocity to get the performance of a .357, .44 ect
>handling
it's not pleasant to plink with all afternoon, if that's what you mean >ballistics
of course you lose velocity, but it's not nearly as much as you think. you're speaking with a doer. a 5 shot string with a 1 7/8" barrel shooting 158 grain averaged 1200 fps. a 4 1/4" barrel shooting the exact same weight and load averaged 1320 fps. is a difference of 120 fps significant? of course it is. it's also not nearly as much as everyone seems to claim it should be. 1200 fps with a 158 grain projectile is still formidable, especially out of a gun i can stick in my pocket.
>1200 fps with a 158 grain projectile is still formidable
You have a gift for understatement. As a fren. I recommend that you develop & market it. Consider new ways in which you can further yourself.
A .357 snub nose is going to be around the same size as a 10mm while a .44 like a S&W 29 is a fair bit larger. According to BBTI at 3" barrel lengths 10mm is actually putting out same weight and brand bullets at least 100 fps faster probably because of cylinder gap.
Over many other possibilities? Fuck yeah. I'm happy to shit on it for many claims made in other threads, but it's a FUCK YEA! helluva caliber for a FUCK YEAH! helluva lotta options.
would CCW / 10mm
everyfucking day of the week
> I'm not immune to other options, but 10mm is always a serious contender for #1, pretty much always.
If you're fat enough to actually conceal it and will actually carry it everyday, sure.
>fat
It's actually harder to cc when your fat dumbass.
You clearly have never seen the vid of the fat black guy pull a glock out from under one of his many bloated flabs.
Spoken like a true simpleton not being able to discern between a 30+y/o male with a beer gut appendix carrying a P225 and an obese melanoid CCing a Draco.
The glock 29 is actually close to 26 size. Much smaller than the 19 in every way except for thickness, and the thickness isn't a big deal
Mines an SF so there is also that.
Gen 4 already come “sf” from the factory, the og gen 3 are tthickkkkk

What? You're saying thickness is the most important factor in concealment or what? Cause it's not.
Not that anon, but...

1mm better than 9mm, 1.43mm worse than .45
Zero. Or if you believe charts, it's actually less effective than 9mm and .22 at one-stop shots.
In my opinion, no. I used to carry a G29. That is one thick bitch. Unless you really need 10mm powah for bears or something. 9mm is superior for CC due to size.

10mm only has 100ft/lb more energy and 3 times the recoil energy
wrong
There is no practical advantage to carrying a 10mm over a 9mm pistol but if it makes you feel better then go for it I guess.
The only appeal of pistols is the ability to put a bunch of rounds on target, unless you train like a motherfucker, higher recoil calibers defeat that purpose.
It's got the stopping power of 9mm and the ammo capacity of .45ACP
well, at least in that case it has more stopping power than 45 acp.
https://www.sigsauer.com/10mm-180gr-elite-ball-fmj.html
99.99% of 10mm ammo is under-loaded though
I've got a G29. Only carry it with a chest holster innawoods. Can't imagine trying to CC it. Ammo is expensive as hell too.
literally every cartridge is under loaded by manufacturers though. that's how liability incentivizes companies to load their ammunition. 10mm is not special in this regard. for instance, federal makes 158g 357 mag that goes 1250 fps. the same bullet weight loaded by buffalo bore goes 1500 fps and that's a gigantic difference. buffalo bore 357 mag isn't "+p" or anything (that designation doesn't exist for 357), they just load closer to the saami max.
when are they going to make an 11mm?
well over a hundred years ago.
G26 slide length 159mm
If you miss the brain, spinal cord or upper thoracic vitals, it won't matter if it's 9mm, 10mm or .45. Shot placement, adequate penetration and a reliably expanding bullet. That's all that matters.
But how am I suppose to bench race that?!?!?!?

No. 9mm is better for CC. Double no for a subcompact 10mm.
t. carries a full size 10mm.
hows the ballistics and handling of compact canons like that? I figure its the same as when people want snubnose magnums, the short barrel doesnt give you the proper velocity to get the performance of a .357, .44 ect

yeah.
