Guns that you just hate, and can't even clearly explain why. They just rub you in a wrong way, or you think they are ugly or aesthetically unpleasing or something.
Even if the gun is technically good, and there is nothing wrong with it, you just don't like it.
For me, it is AR-style rifles, Sig high-bore-axis pistols and Beretta Pistols.
I fully admit that they are technically good guns. They will get the job done.
But I just hate them. in video games if I can use some other guns, I will use those and dump ARs and beretta pistols the moment I can.
I would not buy these two even if I had the extra disposable income to do so. I would buy something else.
Why do I hate them? Honestly, for completely irrational reasons. They are ugly. I think having high bore axis is stupid. I hate the forward assist. I hate the cut-down slide part in the pistol. I have even shot with both AR and Beretta and ...there is nothing wrong with them. I just didn't like the way they handled themselves.
I am much more at home with Ak-style rifles (I own a norinco 56) and M1911's and CZ's and even glocks (although I think glocks are just boring - They are blocky and look like toys). But AR's and Berettas? I have irrational hate towards them. Sig P225's and such? Stupid hunchback guns.
What about you? What guns you just don't like? Let the hate flow through you! You don't even have to have a good reason for your hate.
Generally speaking I like all kinds of vent hole type thingies in handguards, but I hate MLOK and think it looks dumb
I don't like 9mm ARs. The tiny stick magazine just looks stupid.
Pic related is a meme, but I am partial to minimalism on rails. Why I like mlok and dislike picatinny.
kek duality of man between me and you.
Most newer PCCs with the magazine forward of the trigger look stupid. Put in through the grip where it belongs and save a few inches of overall length.
Have you considered seeing a doctor about your autism?
anything in .22
I love 22 but anything not originally designed as a 22 being made into or converted into a 22 fucking baffles me and makes me almost have an aneurysm
Blasphemy
>much more at home with Ak-style rifles
>having high bore axis is stupid
AK also has a 2" HOB, but more bulk to shroud it
I too once thought AR-15's looked gratuitously geometric with its triangle(s), trapezoid(s), and oval(s) whereas an AK a no-frills war machine and their representation in computer games only cemented this opinion... until my exposure to the HK416, which lead me down the AR-15 rabbit hole
Didn't like the Baretta 92 geometry either (Doom left me a distaste for it), but then I learned that Die Hard (1988) is the ultimate Christmas Film and Lethal Weapon is peak Gibson
What’s special about the HK compared to any other ar
It was my exposure to the concept of rails and the absence of a FSB (computer game NoGunz past), though I prefer the Mk18 now for that sort of look
>Guns
Anything that lacks backup iron sights, like or
Anything that mixes wood and tactical rails. Pick one or the other, not both.
>Equipment
High-cut helmets
Crye-cut uniforms
>Other
Military worship culture/"Operator" culture/"Warrior Poet" culture or whatever they want to call it now. I'm talking about the tough guy homosexuals who are bald and have big beards, insist that all guns have to be a glock or an AR-15, talk about their military service when nobody asked, and wear tacky patriotic and/or blue-line/cop bootlicking apparel.
>muh piston gas system
just admit you don't like them because they're iconic US military standard issue guns
Nope. I like M1911 and M14.
Fighterjets like F-14 or F-15? Awesome! So clearly iconic american hardware is not a reason.
The new Sig pistol ...meh. I don't like guns that misfire when you drop them, but other than that no feelings one way or the other.
Like I said, it's an IRRATIONAL dislike. I just hate the damn things, and there really aren't good reasons for it. M16 as a rifle just... "yuk! Don't wanna!" that's it.
Do you like Curry-banana pizza? Apparently it's a thing in sweden. I have never eaten one, so I keep my mind open for new experiences. But on a whole, my mind recoils of the thought. If I put a pizza in front of you, I can say "this is popular" but I can't make you like it. And you don't even have to explain why. Same for me when it comes to these guns.
>Curry-banana pizza
I thought it was peanut butter / banana.. that is something I could get behind
I like the issue models but not your average tacticooled larper AR
>in video games I will use other guns
Stop playing games loser
This gross piece of shit. It’s so ugly and pointless.
I fully agree. I hate all PCC's in general.
9" is most a 9mm needs, just get rid of the stock-prohibition.
The Walther PDP. Everyone seems to like them, but they look like an ugly brick compared to the PPQ and their tacticool citizen soldier ad at launch was gay.
>Sig high-bore-axis pistols
Me too. Just look at this stupid thing. I don't care how many people say they shoot well.
i'm a big fan of the 200 series Sigs but i don't like the ergonomics of the 320 at all and of all the polymer strikers it has a real stand out plain jane boring ugliness to it which is really saying something
There have been so many new gun owners in the last 10 years and they weren't around to see how the P320 is just a half-assed gun built off the P250. Ignoring all the later controversy, it was never a good design from the start.
I own one and hate it even though I shoot it really well and trust it despite the SpongeBob trigger and high bore axis. I don't know why I hate it I just do.
I personally hate the look of all the pistols that have the SIG P320 style slide geometry, with that same sort of planar lighting cut that makes the front of the slide more of a trapezoid.
Examples include the P365, Beretta PX4, CZ P10C, and some others.
It's ugly and gives the gun a very "goyslop" appearance.
>a very "goyslop" appearance.
Not saying you can't not like them but this makes no sense
I guess what I mean is that it looks like boring, mass produced, consumer trash.
I'm pretty sure they do it because it's the cheapest way to do a slide lightening cut, since it's just a single flat cut that tapers of at the rear.
But it looks shitty because the lines aren't parallel. The traditional style of lightening cut, that you see on the Sig P226, HK USP, FN 509, Canik TP9, M&P 9, etc. looks much better.
That cut or brick slides are all we're going to get now with red dots getting to be common. The rear half of the slide needs that flat top to stay competitive with optics mounting, and the angles and edges look is really popular now. I miss when the PX4 and P07 were the only guns with that kind of slide cut.
Fair but at least it isn't the B&T MK II lol
I'm with them. I KNOW they are well built and I KNOW swarms of folks swear by them but I don't like how top heavy they feel in my hand.
I feel the same way about ARs. They’re affordable and the ammo is cheap and there are so many different accessories and they’re accurate, but they lack a certain something. This also happens the car community: a company spends so much time building a car with all the best stats on paper that they forget to give it personality and you end up with a soulless hunk of metal and plastic.
You can't buy soul, you imbue it with use. Attempting to buy soul is the most soulless shit.
I only own lever actions and compound bows and I REFUSE to own anything else
I bet you hate iphones and toyota too don't you.
It's just called being a fucking contrarian.
Hating iphones isnt irrational, serial buses are supposed to be universal, they can go fuck themselves.
I hate Multicam and I will avoid ANY equipment, uniform or clothing that's made in this pattern.
Completely souless camo.
It's the Fortnite of camos.
I rather use some solid orange fluorescent color or even UCP but I will never use Multicam or it's derivatives.
Based.
>I rather use some solid orange fluorescent color
>Based.
retard alert
Men of your mentality will eventually be buying basic bitch flat top carbines calling it “vintage” and “kino”
Blowback (both direct and delayed) in anything bigger than pistol cartridges
Any gun with fluted/oversized/annular chambers or damages brass to the point of being unreloadable. Even if I didn't reload it's still a crutch that better designed guns don't need.
ok i've heard of chamber fluting, but what's an annular chamber?
The chamber has an oversized ring cut into it for the cartridge to expand into, keeping it "locked" for a bit longer. Also called a chamber ring.
Have you heard of ligma?
What's li-ACK
Any chassis gun
Piston ARs (pure heresy)
Not guns per se, but everything about modern militaries / operators. Minmaxing tactical training and movements. It may be more effective to move in a semi crouch and bring the rifle up in a second with your front squared to the target, but it looks ugly. Look at old soldiers with sharp uniforms who look so dignified.
I really don't like the look of the 416. It looks like the traditional AR's more retarded cousin.
The m1 Socom II I got was dogshit even at 150yards. I should have just got a national match. I just thought at the time "I'll upgrade it"...
Grip safety is the ugliest thing I’ve ever seen
I don't mind some grip safeties but THAT grip safety is fucking disgusting.
I don't get upset when I see a red dot sight.
I understand that they are very good for their purpose, and easier to use than iron sights. I understand that the ones that aren't chinesium are durable and reliable.
I cannot stand the thought of putting a red dot onto one of my guns. It's electronic, and my gut says "no, use a scope or iron sights." Maybe if they batteries were easily replaceable this thought would go away.
Soft rubber buttpads on stocks are ok. Flexible material on grips gives me the ick.
I always hear that Jetsons theme song in my head when I see someone with a dot on a carry pistol. "...his son Elroy!"
I never liked the Springfield XD line for whatever reason. Glocks are boring but functional and I don't mind them but I actively dislike the aesthetics of the XDs without even getting into the gripzone memery.
does hating israeli guns count as irrational? I can tolerate the galil but the rest are israeli abominations
the SA80 or L85 family of weapons are unbelievably ugly even by bullpup standards
bullpup rifles generally are just horrible looking and don't seem very practical. they look like what would happen if you had a person with limited engineering knowledge, and no firearms knowledge and gave them all the metal parts of a gun and told them to 3D print the rest to make a man portable firearm. thats about the only futuristic or advanced thing about them. they look AI designed and 3D printed without any regard paid to the human who is supposed to deal with them or the durability of the weapon in a combat zone.
i fucking hate bullpups
Word. Bullpups are trying so hard to solve a problem that doesn't exist. Just Euros thinking they know better than Americans, but then still equipping their SOF with AR variants while their line infantry gets shitty unreliable unergonomic bullpup rifles that are currently being replaced anyway
I really dislike bullpups aesthetically. I know they have immense benefits, but I simply don't appreciate the way they look 99% of the time. I'd never turn one down if I needed one, though.
I'm also not really the biggest fan of multicam as a fellow Anon mentioned. It's not bad, though, I'll take it.
>immense benefits
Let's not go overboard
I HATE the visuals of pistols with rails on them, Glocks dust cover peaked at Gen 2
Pic above my post is why I hate all glocks. Look at that wet shit. Absolutely no style. It looks like Dayton Ohio became a gun.
minimalism is a style you pleb
a log of shit is is pretty minimal, anon
Such a specific burn, but totally accurate.
I cannot stand the front serrations on the gen 5 glocks and I really don't like how they rounded off the slide. I also don't like finger grooves or the rail.
glock really peaked with the gen 2 glock 19, they were so minimalistic and sleek. I've been looking for an aftermarket gen 5 glock 19 slide that looks like a regular old gen 1-4 slide but I unfortunately can't find any, they all have 1 million cuts and greebles
I agree
>I cannot stand the front serrations on the gen 5 glocks
VGH a fellow FS hater
Have you actually used a gen 1-3 Glock? The mag release is practically unusable. You have to shift grip to such a retarded position the mag might as well not be removable. They could've done away with the mag release to save money just like they did with the safety.
gen 2 has a cutout so you can strip the mag, having mag release be too small is much better than having it be too big
yeah everything else about modern glocks is better EXCEPT I just think the rail looks ugly. If they made a Gen 5 19 without a rail Id buy it in a heat beat, like this poorly done edit i just did
10mm EDCs (unless you live in the woods)
Revolvers
Tokarevs
MK23
Any HK firearm with a lower capacity than similarly sized competitors
PCCs with a 16” barrel
S&W pistols
Subcompact Glocks (especially the 29/30)
>MK23
how could you anon
I think the grip on the usp45 is too long aesthetically speaking. handguns should have a shorter grip compared to slide length (i.e., rectangle > square looking)
>USP
Man that reminds me of when I was on Shadow Moses Island trying to find some dipshit who got locked up and died anyway but I met a psychic queer and some fag who kept claiming to be my brother
MK23 owners make me hate the MK23. They act like it’s the best handgun in existence yet no one worth a fuck has used them in a decade(s). Just an overpriced, deagle sized gun with shit capacity that doesn’t even shoot as well as you’d think it would.
They’re just cool man. They shoot good, but not really better than any other modern handgun. I just like that it’s over-engineered as shit and that it’s huge. Plus the decocker is fun to use.
Yeah it’s cool and all but not $2500 cool. Would rather just get a Stacatto at that price or a unique long gun.
>MK23 owners make me hate the MK23.
If I ever bought one it would be solely because it looks cool, says HK on it, and is in a meme caliber.
These are all very irrational dislikes. Thank you for posting
Glocks are just plain ugly. Centuries of firearms developments and they have the fucking Pinewood derby block-o-wood shape. Horrible.
I can accept people disliking ARs I guess. But the 92 especially A3 and forward are some of the sexiest looking and best shooting guns I've ever had the pleasure of. My a3 is my ride or die. Not to mention the m4/m9 combo is peak 80s-90s vibe.
>80s/90s vibe
Mp5/226 combo is a hard one to beat.
I more meant for US armed forces standard issue, not media. Mcx/m17 will never replace them in my heart.
touted at the AR killer on the market. Forgets the AR has already done everything it has years before. HK-416 is basically the same thing but with a fixed stock.
>"muh folding stock"
>I have to shoot like a Chicago gangster
I would actually like to see where this is an actual thing, doctrine or statistics.
almost as bad as the bull-pup gang.
>I hate the foward assist
Just get an upper that doesn't have one.
the non-F/A uppers are usually $100-$200 more because so few people buy them. there are also a lot of models that don't even offer a non-F/A variant.

I would not take this if it were free and came with 1000 rounds
I’ve always loved FALs but the Israeli ones I’ve always thought looked stupid. I know it’s just the handguards and lack of a muzzle device (on most) but I still just don’t find them appealing. They’ve grown on me just a little but I still prefer the traditional FAL look 1000x more than what the israelites made
Any metal pistol that isnt a 1911. Especially sig p series. Yes, ive owned W germ ones. One the many overhyped firearms out there. The S&W series geta pass though. Still wont own them.
Just say that you hate highly reliable and functionally proven firearms because you’re a contrarian homosexual who does gay irrational things like associate objects with personalities
- Glock pistols: no soul.
"Smart guns" or any other types of built in safeties like the S&W internal locks on their revolvers. The creators of such garbage should be lynched
