From the thread we had of the Vatnik's head getting launched into orbit, I've learned that everything explodes in China, but the Chinese seem to have this miraculous ability to just walk them off like a Looney Tunes character.

Swegay here, truckers from across the Baltic Sea are the fricking worst. Two-axle trucks that are all falling apart, speeding down highways with barely any tread left on the tires, caught all the time drunk off their asses. They really have more in common with orcs than with people.

Yeah I bet a lot of time is saved when you're manually throwing around crates instead of using a forklift.

really? how do pallets work? do they grow from pallet tree with the shells attached? no
they put it in pallet by hand, and then move it.. so its the same result if you just throw it in.. except the pallet has manufacturing first, the shells have to on a particularly way .... americanns are idiots

Holy fricking ESL... I'm not sure exactly what you're saying here, but just imagine the shells being loaded onto pallets in the factory and being kept in them until they need to be unloaded in the actual warzone. All unloading and loading before that (from trucks onto trains, planes, etc.) goes much smoother since you can use a forklift. Maybe check how a storage looks for your typical supermarket, you'll see the magical incomprehensible pallets everywhere.

        >they put it in pallet by hand, and then move it..
Yes, but the point of palletization is that it can be done at the factory by machines or extremely proficient factory workers, and the pallet does not need to be broken down at any step. Doesn't matter how it's going, from a truck to a train to a boat to a plane to another truck, it doesn't need to be broken down. If you had any experience you'd know that breaking down and rebuilding pallets is one of the biggest wastes of time in logistics.

        [...]

Shitposting but not even good shitposting. The best bait here would be to claim that pallets are ok for transport from factory to rail, but after that it should just be loose crates for maximum tactical flexibility. You'd get the warehouse workers, professional logistics experts AND soldiers with that one!

How does your subhuman mind explain the fact that discharging the cargo will then take longer if you throw it in the truck like a disprganized Black person?

We used to buy alloy wheels from Russia, the boxes always came just stuffed inside the truck, no pallets or anything, took like 6 hours to unload it, their excuse was that if they were on pallets, they would fit like 200 wheels less per truck. So yeah, i mean, if you have infinite amount of workers and a shortage of trucks, i guess it makes sense.

Anon might be master baiting, but in case you're being serious, the inefficiency comes from the fact that each of those crates has to be handloaded one by one into the truck and then unloaded one by one out of the truck once you get to the other end. Also, you have to pack them in tight, as there is nothing to stop them sliding around in there and bashing against each other during transit, which is a good way of accidentallying yourself when it comes to live ammunition.
Compare this to doing what the West does, where they pre-form the load into three to four packages which are all tightly bound, which slide easily into the lorry where they can be further bound with straps if you need it and the whole process of loading or unloading takes half an hour at most with a moderately trained crew with minimal risk that the load will just accidentally an entire city block because you hit a small pothole.

Pallets? How about simple straps that shit looks like it wasn't even secured to begin with.
