It’s actually kinda interesting how all these Pidorstan shills were once respected members of society. Scott Ritter used to be a UNSCOM official. Douglas MacGregor was a highly decorated military officer. Noam Chomsky and John Mearsheimer were once respected members of academia. Even Gonzalo Lira had friends and people who would religiously defend him online.

They are unemployable (especially Ritter) and russia is willing to pay them so they will say whatever russia wants regardless of how embarrassing it makes them look.

Collections like that come from time, not money. You will never have one because you don’t like to read, not because you can’t afford it. If you liked to read you’d know this because you’d be staring at boxes of books you don’t know what to do with.

My local Good Sammy's (Aus equivalent of Goodwill/thrift shop) sells books for $1-2 each.

Local libraries will also occasionally sell off bulk amounts worn or damaged books that are in pretty good condition for extremely cheap

My Dad bought one a week for the last 10 years and now he has multiple full wall shelves of books, and a good excuse to build more shelves which he enjoys.

Also, library genesis is absolutely goated agreed.

I have a pile next to my bed of read ones but since getting a full time job the books read a month has lessoned considerably but my book hoarding habit has not. It's at the point where I have to avoid Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble at times to avoid picking up more. I still read a lot but never fast enough.

I doubt Vitali Klitschko is any worse then what's happening over here. I guess it all depend on what the role of mayor looks like in each country. It's actually a bit surreal, like before the war if the US decided to launch 81 Cruise missiles at someone you would expect them to be pretty fricked up, aircraft, SAM sites, radar, munitions depots, command posts all blown to shit... Russians have been doing weekly... then monthly missile barrages and cause a mild power outage.
Hundreds of Russian cruise are at about the same inconvenience level of a medium sized thunderstorm. They launched another 100million dollar missile attack, I'll get the candles and the powerbank, be sure to open and close the fridge quickly, the power might not be on for a few hours.
