Polish Prime Minister made a statement that they actually had taken some F-35s off to follow the missile back in December. What makes it worrying is that it was a missile of the type that typically is used for nuclear warheads by Russia.

There is conflicting information. Some say it is still being investigated. Interestingly though, a day after that happened, Poland signed a $2.40bn deal with UK for a load of air defence systems and then seized a building that Russians were using to educate diplomat children.

      Coincidence, I am sure.

Who said that it was undetected? It's some made up vatnik narrative. Apparently Polish government sent some helis to look for the remnants of the missile but couldn't locate it. What is more annoying is that they swept it under the rug without informing the public for 5 months. But I guess this was a right decision for war times within their mandate.

It's just Vatnik's wishful thinking. They want to maintain their scary big bad bear pre-2022 image, but in reality this conflict made them a laughingstock. In Poland we used to be always anxious about Russian army movements or war games near our border. But now we know that they'd get obliterated by our army (even without NATO) help in couple days. After 1 week we'd be drinking beer in Kraloviec with Pepiks and after 2 weeks we'd have an entire tourist industry running regular trips to conquested Moscow by Polish Armed Forces. They can't even take fricking Bakmhut from Ukraine, imagine getting involved in a direct conflict with a NATO country lmao. All is left for them is reposting pictures like the one above

        I have three theories personally:

1)Pvt pidor got drunk and inputted the coordinates wrong, the drone does an oopsie and goes off course
2)ukies sent the drone as a falseflag
        2)Russians testing NATO defenses etc

          To add to this:

There are also two options as to why it's being kept under wraps.
Both are dependent on the timing of the event; it happened early in the war and nobody knew how it was going to go so they either kept it low key to not aggravate the Russians or keep the heat off of ukraine

I wonder what would happen if an actualy russian missile hit some actual polish city and killed like one or two. Would they try to blame it on ukraine? Would they reach some settlement with russia (you pay the families and give us the guy who shot...)? Like, I want to activate article 5 as much as the next guy, but there is counterargument that you dont want nuclear armagedon over 2 unfortunate randoms on street, so I think some lies would be justified and reasonable.

That would be awkward for sure. I think that if it was genuinely an accident of sorts I believe it’d result in even more sanctions like sea blockade of Kaliningrad, confiscating more Russian assets and increasing support for UA with stuff like high range Himars missiles etc. Hitting a military target deliberately would probably mean closing skies over Ukraine, cutting off Crimea, allowing Ukrainian sea drones on Baltic Sea etc. there are plenty ways to escalate witho it going bananas

Impossible. It was identified as Kh-55/Kh-555. Poland never had access to these missiles. The only possibility is that Ukraine somehow got their hands on it, send it to Poland for some tests and then it failed like you’re saying or fell off a plane (lol) but this scenario doesn’t make sense given many other facts about the location and the fact that the government already issued some info about the origin of the missile and that they had actively tried to search for it with helicopters and other shit. Weird stuff

If the missile is alone, then it is safe to assume it has gone bonkers and doesnt aim for Warsaw. You dont want to shoot at it because you could bring it down over someones house, so you wait till its not over some forest or out of fuel. At least, it seems logical to me this way.
