In 2023 Russia made approximately 260 new T-90M tanks. But the number of work shifts at the Uralvagonzavod tank factory should correspond to 600 new tanks being made in a year. With Shoigu's and Gerasimov's men losing their jobs due to corruption will it be possible to make the expected number of tanks?

Imagine thinking China is going to help Russia at this point.
China is waiting for Russia and Nato to start Shotting so they can join the NATO Coalition as an "ally" in the face of Russian imperialism and atrocities.
They will then invade eastern Russia, claiming vast swathes of it for themselves as they have always wanted to do. They will gain international standing for having aided in the resolution of the conflict. They will gain massive face for having defeated Russia in a land war(the fact that the real russian army died in ukraine 2 years ago is meaningless in this context)
They will gain massive resources and they will gain undeniable access to the international political world as an equal partner which they have always desired. The Post Russia world will be an oval table with US at one end China at the other and UK, Germany, France, India and Japan playing musical chairs towards one end of the other to keep a peaceful balance. Russia has been the destabilizing factor and China know that they can only lose in a war against NATO, even if they win(they won't) they are a pariah for decades after as Russia has made itself now.

China will sacrifice Russia on the Alter of International peace and trade based competition, and they will gain massively in every way from it.
The only thing Russia had to offer China was military support and resources. Ukraine has Proven that Russian military support is hollow and nearly worthless even when present. The resources can just be taken, no one anywhere will lift a finger to help russia when it happens the only squabbling will be division of the spoils of russias destruction among the Victors.

Very nice fictional story you've written there, but China has made very clear that they'd rather have Russia as a vassal who owes them everything than take the risk of stabbing them in the back. Would be cool, though.

The sanctions only affected the optics used on the tanks, so they've probably replaced it with their substandard, 1980s electronics and optics.

Unlikely. The corruption happened with Pootin's blessing (as he was a main benefactor of it). As for why Söygu and his cronies got BTFO, your guess is as good as mine. What I've heard is that the Monke learned that Pringles was goaded into his lil' march on Moscow by the plywood marshal and so this is payback.

LMAO. Nah, the sanctions are ineffective as frick in this regard ... not surprising given that a bunch of moronic economists came up with them, not engineers. See

sanctions are useful in increasing the cost of doing business, but you wouldn't understand that as you are stupider than either an economist nor an engineer

R*ssia isn't hurting for money, you triple Black person. And even their increase of "the cost of doing business" is apparently minimal given how much they're still buying from abroad directly and indirectly.

What should happen is that a huge list of banned military relevant hardware (and software) is created and that anyone who does supply R*ssia with them is threatened with swift and merciless death (including the complete liquidation of companies who do so since, y'know, Citizens United and what not). Then spin up some blackops units to enforce those bans. None of that gay "w-we'll f-f-f-ine you" shit anymore.

        Ineffective? no.
Only slightly reducing the prodction and the quality? yes
        >not surprising given that a bunch of moronic economists came up with them, not engineers
If you ask an engieneer for the solution it would involve the bombing of suppliers, deposits or extraction facilities that help russia in the war effort. Based? yes. Would this show that NATO is not cucked? also yes. are we doing this? yes by proxying Ukraine. The people who vote want this? no.

They are all going into reserves and new stockpiles for the big Russian-Chinese NATO war.

I'm inclined to believe that given how common videos of T-90Ms getting btfo have become. Oryx has 92 registered losses for the T-90M. That’s almost their entire pre-war stock.

The T-90M aren't built brand new, one of the captured ones had a gun breach from the 1990s and was clearly a rebuilt T-90A.

We’ll never get good data on Russian tank production. All we know for certain is that they are operating a tank factories and that some number of new tanks are being produced in them (pictures of new tanks being built out and on rail transports). There could be 260 or or a dozen for all we actually know — hell maybe none of them even function. We just make the relatively safe assumption that something like the numbers they claim are being produced, but we actually know very little.

A substantial portion of the labor force is refurbishing T-72s and T-80s, not building new T-90s. With the horrendous losses taken they need anything that be put into service quickly. Plus, it's not like a T-90 is anything special.

Tanks have been irrelevant on both sides for basically the entire war. I wonder what Russia is doing with all their new (T-90+refurbs) tanks because we rarely see killcams of them anymore.

The t-90M is a slightly better t-72 but it still can't stop modern AT guns and if penned we all know what happens to the three idiots inside, it's just better at killing.
as usual the problem for russia is not the armor, it's finding and training competent crews that can fight and come back and eventually become trainers themselves.
