Importing machine gun to the US

Let's say you found a super rare submachine gun. A very limited quantity ever made world wide. Is it possible to imported to the US. It has historically value or is it impossible. Expense would not be a problem.

Depends how israeli you are and which politicians you are friends with.

Not israeli and don't have any political friends. So it's impossible? Didn't the Supreme Court say something about that bs the atf is implementing?

Another question can business import one?

    well
if you wanted to import a MG, you would have to have an import license/sot (08/01) and either bring it in to a FTZ or have it ready in the country of origin. Then, you would have to find either another ffl/sot that could get a law letter, or a .gov agency that wanted it. You would have to then file a form 6, and if the gun is "unsuitable for law enforcement use" it will likely get denied by our friends at the ATF. If its a never before imported gun, you might have to send one to ATF FATD for evaluation.

    tl;dr yes but actually no

alternatively, saw it in half and send the front in a box to your PO box and the back half to your mothers house, then weld it back together. Or torch it in 3 places per atf spec and bring it in as car parts

Interesting, I actually found a fully working Beretta 93r. The person that owns it is willing to sell it. The issue is making it legal in the US.

I couldn't destroy such a rare gun, would rather not buy it. If I'm not wrong only around 2k were made. I actually need a quote on that.

It’s a pre 86 dealer sample. You need your SOT to buy it, but you can keep it as an individual even if you’re not an SOT anymore

THIS is a pre dealer sample and ArmsUnlimited is a legit website. It’s “only” $45,000 and you actually get to keep it

for a company yes, though the process of getting there as previously detailed by another anon is still a monumental hurdle

Please don’t spend $65,000 and god knows how much trying to import that shit and get this instead.

if you managed to bring it into the US, its status would also be as a post-86 Dealer Sample

What would be the problem with fully disassembling the gun and mailing each piece here individually?

Would probably be fine for most parts but there's definitely a part that is considered the firearm itself and that part would definitely be illegal to ship into the states. If the gaytf found out they will kill your dog.

Tbh if someone is willing to go through this much trouble to get an MG into the states, they’d prob be better served omitting the actual MG compenents and just having them milled from bar stock by the local ancap CNC operator

I like the above poster’s suggestion of hiding them in erector sets or something similar

“Oh here’s a massive shipment of loose, assorted automobile parts, nothing to see here, move along”

Gets me thinking. What if someone designed a machinegun that used existing, legal parts from popular semi auto guns in its select fire mechanism? Like it’s a normal closed-bolt semi auto, but you add a 1911 sear here and a Glock trigger bar there and now you have a machinegun. If people can make rinky dink but still functional machineguns from coat hangers, I’m sure someone with the will and the talent could design a legitimate MG like this.

best thing you can do is get a ffl/sot and start tinkering. Make as many machineguns as you want and write down your knowledge, and share it. this meme that's been pushed that it's some sort of forbidden knowledge has gone on way too long.

i am a company that specializes in this. You will save a lot of money on the gun, retainer fees, and headache if you get a ffl/sot and buy that pre may one. If you have frick you money then by all means get a lawer to challenge the gca and nfa, with the recent bruen decision you may have some precedent
