As an American I feel bad for how tough hues have it. They are in many ways spiritually our brothers and I wish our nations were closer. Also duolingo sucks but I want to learn Portuguese so I can read more about Brazilian wars and Portuguese colonial conflicts in Africa.
The Imbel FALs were pretty good, and the FAL action was originally intended for use with a lighter cartridge anyways. Given that we never hear much about it at all, it's probably safe to assume that it's a perfectly functional rifle that just isn't anything special.
The top cover may or may not hold zero, I haven't had issues with it losing zero so far on a Romeo 4, but you can move it side to side if you apply enough torque. The handguard will definitely not hold zero for a laser, it basically wobbles around. Its magwell is also dogshit and the mag release is way too stiff and too far forward, along with having a retarded shape. Also for some reason PrepHole will not let embed pictures, so enjoy the links.
The 5.56 version is a variant of the MD97L in a chinese-tier plastic furniture, and the .308 version is essentially an FAL action in a chinese-tier plastic furniture.

Nobody here has any way of knowing.
It does look like it would suck though.

I actually have a way of knowing, considering I own one. :^)
I'm pretty sure the Brazilian military has enough funds to just get the license for a good modern rifle instead of trying to do this Frankenstein shit with the FAL
>An improvement on the FAL

That sucks.
I really want to know though, is it true that the 5.56 version is just an AR derivative and the .308 version an FAL derivative?

Honestly though in a favela shootout who needs to hold zero? what are the distances, like 100m?
