I've owned 4 Glocks. 3 G17s from (gen 1, 2, 5) and a g19 gen 4. Of those, every single one was extremely prone to limp wristing. I swapped out 2 triggers and like 7 mag springs. The reason I carried a full size pistol was because I was at the time worried about shootouts, and didn't like the idea of not having the best option available to me.

But look at how real shoot outs happen though. Stress and speed are key factors. Adrenaline pumping, Tyrone 12 feet away with a knife/gun, panic, fear, whatever. Do you think you're not going to limp wrist that gun? Do you think you'll never have to fire with one hand while wounded? What if you're out eating burgers with your family and your hands are covered in bacon grease and you have to shoot with one hand while pulling your child out of harm's way? It's been decades of glock malfunctions, hundreds of videos. Really, a gun should ideally function regardless of user error. User error shouldn't be a thing. You should be able to pull the trigger and expect the gun to cycle regardless of conditions, regardless of grip, regardless of jerking or flinching or shaking.

Reminder to all you idiots keep shitting on Glock:

If your shooting a Glock with the factory barrel, factory, trigger, factors sights, factory mag, factory slide , factory guiderod, factory magwell, or factory trigger guard you wouldn't understand how good a Glock can be.

I've honestly never had an issue with my Glock, all factory. I'm not a fucking manlet and know how to shoot a fucking handgun. Most people's malfunctions with their handguns are from their inability to understand that they require your hand to stay the fuck steady while it cycles. A big part of that is purely due to the fact that most police departments use Glocks, so it's not that surprising that most jamming vids from LEO are with Glocks.
Overall I agree with what you say though, the only handgun I have that regularly has given me trouble is my G48. I refuse to carry it anymore after having it jam up multiple times in a short period while every single one of my other autoloaders has never once given me any issues. Even my SA XD-m compact, a gun which someone on this board claims will jam and/or blow up on me, has had well over 10k rounds through it and it still functions perfectly.
There is absolutely no reason to bother with Glocks in currentYear, especially when just about every other plasticshit pistol on the market is better in all ways, and often times a bit cheaper.

I have a G34, which came with a factory (-) connector spring. Additionally I got a different shape, coated firing pin plunger with a lighter spring. I did the same with my AR-15 where I kept the milspec trigger but got the JP spring kit and polished the contact surfaces lightly. But I also only use my guns for competition. Even though, I never had any failures.

Yes the trigger is mushy and breaks horribly, if you got the "basket" style stock sights im not a fan (mine came new in the box with three dot night sights), but its not a competition gun, if anything I would ADD ten pounds to the trigger pull to make it more child/ crackhead safe. I dont live in a fantasy world where I need to shoot 10 men in the eye from 100yd with my carry pistol.

Glocks are meta. They have a few cons but are overall still the best on the market.
    >prone to limp wrist malfunctions. Train with this in mind and hope you revert to your training if you ever have to use it in self defense.
    >grip isn’t “comfortable”, although it points most naturally for me, possibly just from experience and training
    >they’ve gotten uglier since Gen 3
    >stock sights suck, but most manufacturers’ stock sights are not ideal and Glock sights are easier to replace than other manufacturers’ pistols
    >they’re boring. That’s ok though. You can have other guns with SOVL (or maybe even interesting personality traits or life experiences so you don’t feel the need to compensate with things you’ve consoomed). This is a tool
    >Glock is too stubborn to compete with the double stack micro 9 market. That’s true. I’ve got a G43 (purchased before the P365 came along), a Shield Plus (to check the double stack micro 9 box), but my G19 is carried most often because it doesn’t conceal much worse provided you aren’t fat, and it’s easier to shoot fast and accurate than smaller guns. Those things are more important to me than compactness.
That’s really it for downsides. Pistols besides Glocks either have more or far more important downsides.

      Anonymous

So the only downsides are they're ugly, uncomfortable, not fun to shoot, and prone to malfunction?
      >You can have other guns with SOVL. This is a tool
To use for what? You just said I have to train extensively with it just so it doesn't jam and kill me in a self defense situation, and it's not that great as a target pistol. Why not get an actually good gun that I like shooting?

        Anonymous

        >You just said I have to train extensively with it just so it doesn't jam and kill me
No I didn’t. I’ve had a handful of malfunctions that I think were limpwrist-induced in 10k plus rounds fired. These were when my technique wasn’t sound, and even then it malfunctioned maybe 1-5% of the time. I brought up that this minuscule chance of malfunctioning is one of its few downsides, and training is important. I’d take this risk over another manufacturer’s higher likelihood of parts breaking or inferior track record any day.

Dont fall for the MOS meme. Buy a non-MOS and get the slide milled

Thanks anon I'll update this pasta

Reminder to all you idiots keep shitting on Glock:

If your shooting a Glock with the factory barrel, factory, trigger, factors sights, factory mag, factory slide , factory guiderod, factory magwell, or factory trigger guard you wouldn't understand how good a Glock can be.

to include "factory optic mount" since apparently that doesn't even work LMAO

              Anonymous

It needs to be on the pasta for every modern gun too then. No factory 'optic mount' is good. They're made as a one size fits all with different mounting plates, and that will always be mediocre at best. No matter the gun, it's always 100x better to get it custom milled for the optic you're gonna put on it.

I have a Springfield Hellcat which is a micro pistol that should in theory be under greater stress to keep an optic zeroed than a full size gun. 3000 rounds through it using a ~30 dollar CHPWS mounting plate and my 507k has not lost zero. Haven't touched it since the original zero. Sounds like this is a glock specific problem? Either way it's going on the pasta, thanks!

Isn't that the only option for a 26?
I wonder why there isn't a MOS 26 when there is an MOS 43x since they are roughly the same size (slide not frame).

If you have a limp wrist failure, you do not have a strong handshake

Limp wrist failure doesn't actually exist. The gun is just jamming because it's got bad QC and an inherently flawed design. If you have a Glock that jams, it will jam no matter how you hold it. "Muh limp wrist" is just cope.

Totally stock SD piece. Utilitarian. Over 1000 rounds both 357 and 40. Two hand, one hand, straight arm, bent arm. No failures whatsoever.

The only jams I get on my 19X are self-induced to practice clearing them. Clean your fucking guns and actually learn to shoot them and you won't have issues. This applies to budget guns as well, stop blaming your shitty abilities on the hardware.

Wonder if .357 and .40 having a bit more ass than 9mm reduces limp wristing?

The gen 3 glock was the comfiest gun I've ever held in my life. I rented a stock one with some friends a few years ago and I swear to God the finger grooves, the slide stop, and the mag release where custom made to fit my hands. I ended up with a pig 320 legion with the sig family & frens discount for $487 instead but I've already put in for overtime the next two weeks to feel those finger grooves again. I pray to god you can hold just one gun that felt as good as that one did to me. Idc if its a glock or a hipoint. Gun nirvana,

I like the gen 3 triggers. The gen 5 triggers make me feel my finger sliding off to the side, which is the biggest complaint with my 19X.
I own three glocks btw and I'm a glocksucker.

Hmmm... you'd think a 26 MOS would sell better than a 43x MOS since you could add optics and then stick a g19 mag (with x-grip), basically making it a superior 43x that doesn't require aftermarket magazines

Pistol is fine, just clean behind the fucking extractor. Put countless rounds through mine for work and no issues one or two handed, or shooting from other than ideal positions.
STOP HOLDING IT LIKE A WET TISSUE
