The two new classes soon to enter service are decently armed, and the Legend-class is pretty solid too.

I reckon the coast guard could do it if they brought some cool swarming surface to surface missiles like Brimstone, the US doesn't make anything like that though so i guess it's only work if outside help was allowed.

No. UK military is still pretty top notch with probably the best officers in the world.

Frick off, i meant SK - South Korea. No one is dumb enough to start a thread pitting 5th gens and SSN's against cutters.

/k/ would lose to the coast guard. I don’t think the coast guard would suffer a single wounded person. Maybe casualties from laughter as some shit raft floats towards them with 10 obese edge lords volley firing SKSs.

There is no way in hell the USCG could defeat South Korea's Navy. Their biggest guns have a range of like a mile against missile destroyers (most don't even have that and are limited to machineguns. How is this even a question?

The Legend-class, Heritage-class, and Polar-class 2 are all designed for-but-not-with other weapon systems, including things like SeaRAM, torpedo launchers, ASM-launchers, etc.

Only 1 of those is in service and there are nine of them. Can you link me to the info that says the USCG has those systems in their supply?

It's not in their supply, the ships are simply designed to accommodate those systems in the event the US deems it needed, if the USCG had to fight ROKN today they'd be fricked, but given time to dry dock and install the weapons they were designed for they'd put up an okay fight. Though would still likely lose as even in their up-armed state, they're still primarily meant to defend our coastal waters and trade routes during a war, OR to operate with USN ships to make up for their shortcomings.

USCG is never meant to be a primary offensive force.

They would have 9 so armed vessels. Take a look again: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_active_Republic_of_Korea_Navy_ships#Surface_fleet
              >USCG is never meant to be a primary offensive force.
No one said it was. The question was can the defeat the RoK Navy. And now that I look again the OP just says armed forces so its even more absurd.
