The last Colt I bought was an LE6920 in 2012. If you're buying modern Colt in 2022 you're fricking up bad. I looked into the chamber of a $2k "SOCOM" Colt "M4" last month and the feed ramps were skewed so bad there's no way a round could have fed from the magazine at all.
This is as close as I'm willing to get. If I'm going full auto it will be a Vz58 or something equally interesting. I had my share of full auto in the Marines, I really don't care these days. I like combat shotguns now anyways, they're just fun.

I paid $1500 for a Colt SOCOM. Quality is good and there are no problems with it. Keeping the upper as a spare, since I have a surplus M4a1 upper. I am perfectly happy with the quality of this Colt.
All m4's launched with the top rail, the "nub" is the a2 grip and is the standard, and FA is referred to by the third pin
