but at the cost of restless leg syndrome, i'm afraid.
>decide to try canned fish out because PrepHole memes it as 10/10 protons >take a bite, feel a crack >pull out pieces of its backbone so large that I can study its detail
I can get over the taste, but that one episode made me permamently disgusted with any canned fish that's not minced.
This is why I dont bother with deenz, stocking up on tuna chunks in oil instead. Same goes for the beans, frick soakaing them in baking soda solution for whole night and then cooking for 6 hours. Lentils are better in every way - red ones take literally 15 minutes to cook. Dont ever believe prepper memes.
>Th bones are half the appeal. Ther are fun to eat from bigger canned fish like salmon or mackerel.
Based. Don't forget balut!

If you're this much of a pussy about seeing the reality of your food then go vegan or have a nice day. You're like the hypochondriac grandmother that refuses to eat fish if the head is still on because it has a face.

Smoked oysters in olive oil
Smoked kippered mackerel in brine
Deenz in oil
Sometimes canned salmon if it's good stuff
Little bit of sourdough bread or some triscuits/ritz. Great food for living a long life.
fried peanuts, tons of peanuts
fried peanuts with salt
fried peanuts with cheese flavor
fried peanuts with paprica
deep fried peanuts, slightly burnt
peanut butter for dessert
Each ration should be a blind black bag with a single piece of a helicopter so that the unit can piece it together and fly somewhere with palatable food. Doesn't have to be big, can be just one person+cargo like that one from Mad Max so they'll fly that food back to the unit.
A single bar that has 3000 calories and daily vitamins crammed into it along with a pack of cigarettes and a beer. Included is one of those cold pouches so you can chill your beer in the field
I would eat nothing but choco brownies with a separate hot custard, flapjacks, boiled hard fruit sweets and meatballs in sauce with dense bread.
Oh and maybe something with fibre so I don't have giant hard shits.
>Meal 1
Bread, crackers, spread, jam, dried fruit, coffee or cocoa >Meal 2
Lots of carbs, rice or potato, meat or fish, sweet drink solvable in water and a dessert like a cookie or mini cake >Meal 3
Magnesium and iron rich, cornflakes and milk powder, some nuts, more dried fruit, spread and light crisp bread >Snacks
Bubblegum, Schok ka kola, Small pack of fatty crisps, additional drink
just jagermeister and some ice cream sandwiches (preferably It's Its.) that's all you need. it's a big secret. you'd just need some dry ice in there to keep it cold.
Meat, various
Sauerkraut for vitamins, longevity and to aid digestion
Some simple carbs like rice or noodles.
Different sauces so soldiers can trade.
Also some mineral/vitamin/etc supplement.
This is what I brought on my last 4 day backpacking trip. Is cheap, tastes good, feels satisfying, does not go bad, and does not require any cooking or preparation. Just divide this out by 4.
I just have a big bag of each of the appropriate salts so I can mix up snake juice from time to time. Works great on a fast. Speaking of, I should fast again, its been a while.
Kabanosy. Everyone eat them here when going PrepHole >shelf stable in room temperature >600+ kcal/100g >tasty >made from pork and chicken, so much cheaper than beef jerky >lightweight packaging meant only to block the smell
Former IDF here. Our MRE's are inedible and shit. We mostly resort to ordering takeout (since our own towns are always nearby) or scrounging from the nice shit the UN gives palestinians as aid. I lived on UNRWA-issued doritos and Gatorade for Khan Yunis in 2009.
I'm so envious at western armies and their fabulous meals. Ours are russia-tier
They’re really not that bad. We just love whining about them to convince people we suffer. We do have a hard life but the tuna’s not the reason. But that’s just me I’ll eat fricking anything and if it has protein I’ll take double. Grew up with 14 siblings
Every serviceman I’ve met in every country loves to whine about conditions. But yes, we israelites especially love to whine. Especially about food. We complained to god for giving us the manna!
The funny thing is that you make such damn good hot dogs.

No joke. Hebrew National hotdogs are a fricking top tier brand of hotdogs in the US despite being grocery store cheap, since them being Kosher means that you don't frick with them the same way that Oscar Mayer does.
>I'm so envious at western armies and their fabulous meals
Stop buttfricking the the Palestinians all the time and you'll have a lot of shekels left over to buy all the MREs you want. Nah, there's a guy with a sugar rocket over there, better role the tanks instead
The main thing I hear is people going crazy from lack of variety, so I'd focus on simple ways to add variety, simple variations on recipes and flavors so that if there's say a dozen base recipes, you've got 5-6 flavor varieties of each so you can go a couple months without a repeat.
I would essentially just issue the old freeze-dried LRP ration with the addition of an MRE style heater, some kind of wine concentrate similar to vinogel, and a small pouch of pipe tobacco. Soldiers would also be issued a pipe.
My military will never have morale issues.
>Protein bar >seasoned chicken >broccoli and carrots >seasoned rice >heating pad for above 3 >garlic bread >energy drink mix >chewing gum
Would be a good all around kind of meal I think
Sorry, meant garlic crackers, not bread. It’d be an on the go thing. Also OP said 24 hr so that’s lunch
Breakfast: >Oatmeal >honey + crackers >coffee mix >granola bar
Dinner >shredded beef+Onion stir fry >soup mix (can drink from cup it has) >generic fruit juice >more chewing gum
Onions green. I’d eat it if it was sustainably harvested.

Random canned meat, random canned fruit, lard, whey powder, 20 granola bars, vitamins, and 2 packs of cigarettes
Eggs, all of then
Beans, rice, chewing gum, Benadryl, drink mix, water purification tablets, and two mini-bottles of fireball whiskey.
>Benadryl
....how much Benadryl are we talkin?
Enough to have the Hat Man as your battle buddy

Do you try them by themselves? I can't stand them mixed in with other things but by themselves I think they are ok.

Have you tried deenz nuts?
>decide to try canned fish out because PrepHole memes it as 10/10 protons

I tried this with a chicken egg. It's not bad. It also freaked my homosexual friend out and he started gagging, wich is always nice.
I fricking hate canned fish, slowly been stomaching it more and more. I'd rather Herring Fillets than Deenz though.
(you)
Frick I forgot picrel, motivation for you.
Prefer Pickled herrings with rye bread to spread it on while sprinkled with pickled onions and capers

what are some good sauces to add beside hot sauce?
Vinegar is fine. Spicier mustard is okay. Fish sauce or fermented shrimp to make the flavor stronger if you want.

Why is melatonin bad for you?
Evidence suggests that it leads to violent behavior, rape, welfare addiction, speech impediments, and lower IQ.
Okay, intellectually limited person.
