If Turkroaches can build this, what's stopping them from making the TFX a reality?
You are not permitted to answer, that as a manned fighter, TFX has higher performance requirements and is not simply an underpowered turbofan stuck inside a stealthy bodykit with the flying characteristics of a brick
85% inflation and an uncertain election in 2023
Jeez man when I see stuff like that it makes me feel bad, why are people so obsessed with mub white brown black shit
Name 1 time in history wherr making wunderwaffes worked while your economy is in shambles. Turkiye's fate is predictable.
North Korea and Russia has saved itself from getting invaded thanks to wunderwaffe
Why would the fact that they're having problems sourcing a good engine not be a permissible point?
Can't they simply buy it from china? I heard some rumor that their jet engine pretty good for the price.
Do they have monocrystalline engines yet?
Why would they need it?
Because you might enjoy making throttle adjustments over Mach 1 without exploding? They're a baseline requirement in any modern jet-powered vehicle.
Yes, but their apparent reliability is still low.
Oh, neat. At least they understand the importance.
They have monocrystalline since the 2002, they already are in third gen, like in the 90s of the US.
Yes, Turkish Tei can produce superalloys of nickel monocrystal engine parts at home. https://www.tei.com.tr/en/projects/technology-development/kristal-en
They're not, they require significantly more maintenance, and in any event Turkey is looking for something better than what China is currently exporting. There's also the fact that Turkey seems keen on a complete technological handover.
They are apparently making pretty good progress on a domestic one and getting some stopgap solutions with British and Ukrainian assistance.
wheres the wienerpit?
maybe people would take the TFX seriously if the hurrdurrjet was anywhere close to being successful or even just decent.
The what?
TAI Hürjet
4th gen turk jet that has yet to be produced and yet they are talking 5th gen already
>yet to be produced
It's already in production.
