If money were no object what silly shit would you build.

If money were no object what silly shit would you build. For me it would be something like a roller or gas delayed MDX Micron but in 9x39 with an 8" barrel for extra suppressor space.

If we're talking things that already exist, I'd like a PDW. Something like a Flux Raider. I think it's a neat concept and would be fun to shoot/carry.

I'd do my very best to manufacture a tiny lil babby drone, made out of that shitty hard plastic that fragments when anythinf beyond casual pressure is applied, with a small charge of high explosives.
Think of the little miniquadcopters, these would fit onto some part of your kit, think like six to eight of them.
Each would have a maximum flight time of maybe 3-5 minutes.
You then have 6-8 small balls. Think of the little bouncy balls you could get out of the quarter machine as a kid.
These balls have some mass so you could throw them, each of the balls is set to a specific minidrone, and is activated by twisting the balls hemisphere.
You then toss the ball towards where you want some plastic shrapnel.
The little drone then follows it like a loyal hound might chase after a tennis ball, once the signal reaches a certain threshold, the drone fricking detonated.

Probably wouldn't do shit, but it'd be fun to play with.

nah good idea anon, just add a LOS option with laser designators and some AI to make it really deadly, but the real appealing idea you've got is making the drone body itself into shrapnel - do we start gluing razors to them to attack other drones, perhaps filling hollow structures with explosive/incendiary foam for a little extra punch?

I want to make a top mounted LMG with Madsen style mags chambered in 25 ACP, basically a mini Madsen LMG. That or a quadruple barrel shotgun with 2 triggers, the first being a sort of progressive trigger that fires the barrels sequentially and the second firing all 4 at once

    1) A falling block SxS double rifle chambered in 500 NE with 24" barrels, color case hardened engraved action, and exhibition grade circassian marblecake walnut a London's best oil finish. I would use it to kill cape buffalo and ele in Africa, coastal grizz or Kodiak in AK, and whitetail around home just to be a ridiculous butthole.

    2) Commission a pair of best gun 12-bores from a tier one maker in Birmingham or London (Holland & Holland, Purdy, Boss & Co.) but ask that they stock it with colored synthetic and cerakote the barrels (just to be an butthole and make the boomers seethe).

Something out of pure gold, then I'd sell it for stuff I want like; Python, jetski, Sig Spear, Korth, Ford Bronco, MP5, Scar, Deagle with money to spare.

If it was just personal stuff.
    >pump or lever .25 ACP rifle
This would be fun as a varmint gun and I could hopefully single load those rounds people make with .25-06 projectiles too.
    >Savage 99 in .338 Federal
Wouldn't require much more than a rebarreling, it's just that I like the Savage 99 and .338.
    >Modern top break in .45 Colt
I just want the Detonics top break basically.
    >.400 Whelen M1 Garand
Sure the .458 Win Mag ones exist, but I'd rather not go through all that hassle.
    >Custom .220 Swift hunting rifle
Nothing really crazy here, I just like the cartridge.

    If I ran a company
    >Savage 99
I'd probably have to cheap out on the manufacturing a bit, but if Henry can make the Long Ranger then I'm sure a Savage 99 would do well. I'd offer it all the short action cartridges, so things like .308, .338, .243, .22-250, and so on. I'd also make a Mini 99 for revolver and pistol cartridges and try to make them to where I could use the magazines from the Ruger 77/44 series of rifles.
    >Cheap top break .38 Special
Nothing fancy, just something in the style of the old Iver Johnsons. This would be more a proof of concept then anything else and would hopefully make other companies take a look at top breaks.
    >Top break .357 and .45 Colt
Once the kinks were worked out with the .38, we'd go bigger.
    >Cheap sxs shotgun
It really bothers me that no one makes a cheap one anymore. I'd try to keep it under $200 if possible.
I'd also try to import cool stuff from other countries.

      >cheap sxs
There's a reason these don't exist, and there's a reason any new ones available under $3K (Stoeger, CZ) suck ass. The engineering and craftsmanship needed to pair barrels and regulate them appropriately on the correct plane means they tend to need $ to design and produce a quality, accurate, repeatable, and dependable sxs
      >sxs under $200
Completely delusional. If you could even produce one for $200 it would be the biggest piece of shit ever

Man Century had that one Chinese one for many years that was under $200. They weren't match guns or anything, but they worked well enough for what most people are doing. Doubles used to be THE gun back in the early 1900s and they sold them for next to nothing too. I'm not wanting to build a cool match gun, just a rugged piece of shit.

I guess as long as you weren't worried about the barrels regulating anywhere near each other at 30-40 yards and were OK with frequent double fires (as is common with cheap/shitty sxs with cheap/shitty triggers) and the thing being an absolute heavy brick to lug around (no way a <$1K sxs has the time in production or materials needed to produce a balanced gun of a proper weight--i.e. a 12 ga with 28-30" barrels that's somewhere between 6.5-7.5 lbs), then yeah, you could probably put together a piece of shit for a couple hundred bucks with barrels blanks, a welder, and some duct tape. But no way it qualifies as "rugged." The thing would probably kick itself apart and/or crack its shifty cast pieces within the first three (inevitable) double fires.
