You don’t know what good CQB looks like if you think that is. This is an HR scenario where survivability isn’t the operator’s priority.
I’m sure you’ve seen this, but this video provides many better examples of CQB prowess by Delta. https://youtu.be/mlb9Pdfrkuw

And here’s a real world example of Delta prioritizing speed over security.

It’s not to say that they don’t do it, but they certainly wouldn’t if they didn’t need to.

It’s not to say that they don’t do it, but they certainly wouldn’t if they didn’t need to.

Element of surprise and/or night advantage is everything in these scenarios, on top of speed/violence.
An unsuspecting/blind enemy is basically just target practice as you see in these videos.

But a fortified position or an enemy determined to spray a doorway/hallway/ blind spot until the bitter end, especially one that knows you’re coming?
Your DeltaGRURanger is just as good as an 0311/11b at that point, and you are very likely going to take casualties.
        See 2nd Fallujah.

CQB was better when we just threw grenades down a hallway and then blasted it with a flamethrower, tbh.

It’s all about requirement. There’s a bad guy holed up in a building, do we go in? Not if we don’t need to. The only reason you enter CQB is because of the constraints of the environment. A lot of people think it’s a good idea to do CQB, when usually it’s the last resort. Frags or bigger any day over CQB.

Clint Smith, peace be upon him, says the best way to clear a building is with a JDAM and he's right.

What if he could call in 50 millions dollars worth of airstrikes per house?

A shit load of of those goat herders died before even killing one. 2,500 deaths in the span of 20 years is not a good kill to death ratio on the taliban's part. Delta force are good at room clearing much like any other SOF in the U.S. military that trained in CQC.

Where in Texas? In Austin hopefully all of them, anywhere else I give him until the 3rd until someone wakes up and gets him, probably sooner

Depends on a lot of factors including the neighborhood of Texas, but in the white suburbs, which I think you are talking about? Probably 2 or 3 on his own. If there is enough space between houses that you couldn't hear the gunshots at your neighbors it could be a lot more. If it was Austin like said, then it could go on forever and hopefully would.

      One.

The question is what kind of a man and situation would survive the sweep, if there's some man forcibly entering houses there would have to be a number of people with a pistol in their hand up and allowed time to prepare in an upstairs bedroom or some type of physically distant position from the entrance, hearing or otherwise sensing the entry and being ready to engage him. How many average Texan gunbros who jerks off to the thought of doming home intruders would he go through before getting killed is the interesting question

He would probably get everyone. If he can off 10-20 Somalis with Kalashnikov he can handle a small town neighborhood.

You have to understand, in terms of gun ownership, Texas isn't special. Montana and Georgia have better gun laws, and in even Second Amendment deadzones (NY, NJ, California) people resort to illegal means in gun ownership. From what I witness the more run down the 2nd amendment deadzone's neighborhood, the more weapons and automatics they'll have.

The only time I can see the operator having trouble is if he meets up with other retired operators or a town of ex-military.
