If you don't put the handbrake on and let the wheels take the recoil, 100%.

probably depends on where the muzzle is pointed too.
If it's facing forward or rearward, you would probably need to put it in neutral, or it breaks the transmission gears, differential, axle shafts, or warps your driveshaft.

    >Ukraine keep using western anti-tank weapons to kill your armor
    >just start pumping out a bunch of light trucks outfitted as tank killers where the reduced weight lets them get around in the mud
    Did they do something smart?

It's a Gvozdika turret on a truck. It's not a tank killer, it's just a truck based howitzer, probably because maintaining tracked vehicles is just too difficult and expensive.

The early cold war calculus again. HEAT made armor of marginal importance so might as well be fast. However trucks are not nearly as good as tanks cross country so reckon this conversion will be as useful as a towed piece.

Wheeled vehicles will have higher ground pressure than a tank.

      >the reduced weight lets them get around in the mud
why are there so many fricking dimwits here now? Weight isn't the primary factor in getting through mud, its ground pressure. Rednecks put huge fricking tires on their trucks and get through mud more easily than a Geo Metro would. An M1A2 has almost half the ground pressure of the average car; that's what fat tracks and high displacement get you.

Well Ukraine is rather vocal about needing more guns and shells to close the gap between Russia, who has a far greater number of both compared to Ukraine.

122mm SPG turret mounted on truck

It takes literally two clicks to find the answer. It's a Gvozdika training turret used in Polish army. It doesn't fire.

You should post this and the ship turret mounted AA guns on their forums asking when they'll be added. I'm sure the Russian developers of the game will enjoy the joke.

its a Polish army vehicle. They bolted a surplus gvozdika turret on Star truck. Its not functional, its a training vehicle. they drive int the field and then turret crew can practice setting up a fire mission without wearing out real spgs

is there any point of armour these days. You got javlin and other stuff. Having a fast moving vehival might be good, it's like the trucks vs tanks in that middle eastern war. the trucks won
