I want to colour the thread to match the laces. What's the best way of doing it?

It would probably be easier to just get different laces, it'd look better too.
Just buy custom boots that already have red thread. I recommend Wesco boots. A custom pair will run you around $700-$800. But it's a custom last to your foot and everything.
