They might still be even after recruiting literal untrained convicts.

Reminder: Bakhmut holds no strategic or tactical whatsoever

Ukies will waste many lives and equipments trying to storm the Wagner defensive line and fortifications

      Oh really?
When Wagner were making gains there they were telling us that once bakhmut falls, the entire Eastern front falls with it.

Back when Lyman was still a thing, and Izium was still a thing, it was an essential point to break through for encercling the ukies.

Now that that is gone, its just a fortified defense point and literally the dumbest part of the donbas defense to attack directly

      >vatnik poster 2: Bakmut is of no strategic relevance and the oikrainians and the khokols will die en mass defending it

Funny how there was a big textdump post made literally yesterday by some delusional vatnig claiming that Bakhmut was the key to the entire front, and Ukraine losing it would mean imminent russian victory

Bakhmut isn't important in itself, but if bakhmut fall it opens a straight path to Kramatorsk which is very important for Ukraine strategically. Ukraine doesn't need to defeat Russians in bakhmut but they need to keep them stuck there.

Exactly, So it is important both in terms of tactical and strategical impact

Wasn't bakmuth a target for the Russian push which is irrelevant now because of the loss of lyman but Wagner keep pushing because its in their contract

The original Wagner was pretty decent. They had decent gear and were trained ex-military. But they are all dead now. What is left are convicts.

If by "pretty decent" you mean "absolutely average infantry by western standards" then sure, it's pretty high bar for russia after all.

The plan was for Ukraine to cave shortly after the initial invasion. Everything since then has been damage control and panic.

LOL no the plan was to use this conflict to punish economies worldwide and set the stage for the israelites in power to make whatever claims they want

The reason france left is because all these butthurt Africans rather have the Chinese/russBlack folk to turn them into slaves than to do diplomacy with the French.

Wagner is Putins personal warcrimes squad. Until the Ukraine war they spent their time butchering their way around Syria and various parts of Africa. In Ukraine though they learned that combat gets a lot harder when the other guy can shoot back.

It's not even that ridiculous of a statement. PMCs (or whatever alternative cope word Russia uses for mercs) are the only troops they have not severely affected by corruption, and they are among the most experienced. Of course, most of them are dead now, but all this applies to VDV as well.

PMCs made of convicts may or may not be corrupt.

Here's what Chapter 24, Article 208 of the Russian Criminal Code says:
        >1. Creation of an armed formation (unit, squad, or any other group) that is not envisaged by a federal law, and likewise operating of such a formation, shall be punishable by deprivation of liberty for a term of two to seven years.
Anyone who joins Wagner is a criminal under Russia law, so of course it's gonna be corrupt as frick.
