I rented a house where it has pretty big windows and the TV is just pointing to those windows.

I rented a house where it has pretty big windows and the TV is just pointing to those windows. What can I do to be able to use the TV when tons of lights are incoming?

One idea would be using blackouts but since it is a rental house, I cannot install it myself and the landlord says he doesn’t want any type of installation.

    Rotate TV away from window
    Block light
Buy niche, comically-bright and expensive TV you'll be unable to use at nighttime.

Why do they build buildings like this? Seems completely uncomfy, and like a total waste of space.

This is why they build them

Architects have been practically unconstrained by building materials for 70s years.

They also go to art school where they learn a bunch of posy modern shoy and never develop any artistic talent they might have once had so they make garbage to look unique and interesting

But why does anyone fall for the meme? The cons of: Wasted space, hard to clean, more expensive to heat/cool, and higher cost of materials per useable cubic foot of floor space is all outweighed by Hurr durr, "Looks cool and modern"???

The vast majority of people buy what they are told to buy.

They buy what they can afford. Maybe all the rich homosexuals looked at it a d walked now some working class city Bugman talked them down to $4500/month

People tend to buy just above what they can afford. The trick is to make your house (or whatever) look worth the "just above."
