I recently purchased a newly imported Voere S16 and was wondering if anybody else has any experience with European barrel threading. The rifle came with 1/2 20 unf threading and I've been trying to find attachments or a converter that would fit it. I've found several converters that would slide on but not fill up the threading completely. There's 22mm of threading and I'm having trouble finding attachments or a converter to fit it. Anybody have any ideas?

Stack crush washers? looks like it was made for a suppressor

It was made for a suppressor. It came with a thread protector that I thought about cutting to make a thread protector flush but that's a lot of effort. I was hoping to just find a converter or the attachments to fit a 22mm 1/2 20 on its own but they are nowhere to be found.

      Pick one, anon.

This. It looks like it's intended for use with some proprietary can.

OP, all you need is a spacer or bushing with 1/2-inch ID. It doesn't have to be threaded. Stacking crush washers would work but it would look like shit. Either find a nice bushing with a 1/2" ID or have a machinist make you one.

Another option is to stack multiple "thread protectors"

I bought directly from the importer and he said he did a small order of them with more coming in the future if the demand is high enough.

I paid $1300 plus some extra for ship costs for a 223. I think the 300 blk was the same price too. The importer said he was accepting layaways too but i didn't want to wait so I just decided to go all in. I haven't had the time to take it shooting yet but It's unbelievable how light the gun is. It also takes any ar15 mag so that will save me money in the long run.

Right on, seems fair for a bespoke import.
Report back with accuracy results, I imagine they'll be really good.

Talk to ADCO. They’re great. Or d.Wilson, they’ll re-thread anything

i'll keep them in mind but it will probably be cheaper for me to just look into the washers or just cut some other thread protectors to fit.

Another option is to stack multiple "thread protectors"

i've thought of this but it seems like a tedious procedure to get the perfect measurements.

What's tedious about it? Add a couple thread protectors and then whatever muzzle device you want on the end. If you don't want any muzzle device at all and you just want to cover up the threads use however many thread protectors fit and take up any small gaps with a crushwasher or shims.

i'm more concerned about the price of it, it's something I'll have to look into after I order an actual adapter so I know how much room I'll have to fill.

I only really see ½ / 20 in .22 rifles in Europe. It's like a semi common threading though. Unlike in the US the thread pitch isn't that important because suppressors are easier to buy. I have a .22lr suppressor in 18x1 because why not.

Machinist here, you're better off getting a can or end cap that is made specific for the barrel. Unfortunately you can't just rethread the barrel because 1/2-20 is just too close to 1/2-28 and to my knowledge there isn't a thread size that would be smaller and still work with the barrel.

Thanks for the info, i'll most likely take the crush washer approach since its the cheapest option for me at the moment. it came with a thread protector already that fits perfectly but I was just looking for an adapter so i could get into a non eurojank platform.
