I purchased this shotgun from Vance Outdoors. I live in Ohio on a modest size farm. I absolutely smothered this gun (think the old cosmoline on Sks days) in Lubeanaons new winter formula and then I proceeded to hang it on the wall in my barn. Here are my findings.
First I’d like to say Lubeanon didn’t ask me to do this. In fact he kinda asked me not to do this but I did it anyway. Not all the findings will thrill him but I’m no shill
Before we get to my notes and pictures I want to say I forgot the exact day I purchased this gun. It’s not the biggest deal but it does bother me. I did purchase it for $159 for this experiment but I can’t find a receipt.
Ignore the asshats derailing, I’m interested
>Lubeanon
Are you near Lebanon by any chance
Lebanon is near you once im done
So day 1. I take it out of its box. It’s got a shit finish and it’s Chinese. We ran 300 rounds of cheap pink birdshot through her. When it’s done it hits the barn and sits on a couple nails.
Make and model?
Savage 320 my good sir.
Day 10, I had a bonfire and multiple people blasted the shit stick. We guessed 200 rounds. This was its final time being shot before being put up. It was cleaned and heavily heavily lubed.
Jesus check out OPs fucking sick bicep tat and cute nails.
Cute?
Looks like something out of Jurassic.
Decepticon calling others gays? tssk tssk naughty naughty
And also his BMI.
Are you me, gay?
The amount of gays in here makes me certain I need to keep posting. Anyway. Here was its final resting place for 3 months. Ohio was hit with a fucking huge snow storm a few days before Christmas and it blew the door off my barn and covered the gun in snow.
>The amount of gays in here makes me certain I need to keep posting
Fucking dooeeeeeeeet
keep going, ignore the idiots. this is important science.
So day 3. The snow dried and I put some more lube on her. And there she sat for another 2 days before I put more lube on her.
Day 6. My uncle bought a box of chicken home and my sister Nadine decided to shoot some buckshot at the KFC box. Nadine dropped her chicken. And there it sat for another 4 days before we had a heatwave and I rubbed more lube on it.
Day 8. I finally got my husband to fix the barn door.
>Day 8. I finally got my husband to fix the barn door.
So good outcome? What's the point of your thread what did the lube do?
I’m sorry for interrupting todays 20th Ukraine thread for this but I don’t care anyway. So anyway. The gun started rusting after being covered in snow I dried it off but it was too late. Some spots had taken hold before the new year.
And then?
Surely you're not stopping at the new year?
Not bad. I've had worse rust with a mineral oil'd 10/22 in rain after sitting in a soft rifle case (a Ruger brand red/black 10/22 one). But now I have CRC grease on it. Still want lubeanon's lube for the bolt and trigger parts though. Fucking filthy area of the gun.
>The amount of gays in here makes me certain I need to keep posting.
Based.
Ignore the wartourist redditors. The idea of someone actually owning guns is too much for their low-test brains.
>Whiskey Rebellion flag
Absolutely, unequivocally, based and redpilled
At what BMI did you notice your forearm tat became a bicep tat?
The person in the picture is 120 pounds. Uh oh.
>4'4' 120 pounds fat dwarf
yeesh

Those fingers have never touched salad. Why lie on PrepHole?
>Those fingers have never touched salad.
We love health food bro. Now pls go.
Anyway. The shotgun in a rusted piece of shit but I’m not sure it’s Lubeanons fault.
>The person in the picture is 120 pounds
No.
>t. 120 lbs.
Your fingernails look like sigourney weavers in alien resurrection
They were Halloween nails.
>They were Halloween nails.
ITS A chud
Overall I think it did 8/10.
He did it,lol. Based Anon, right now we work on a product that that is a bit out of the box. Gun Oils, doesnt matter if 5ct or expensive Coom are liquid products that suffer from capillaric effect or mechanical influence. This mean contact with fabric, rain or snow got a heavy degreasing effect just because those products are a liquid doesnt matter how stronge once the line is crossed. The new product is designed to go hard so its sealing up the surface and cant be sucked away, that means no effect from rain or snow tbh. If you want try that same next winter with the new product but get some simple steel plates form home depot so there is no finish hiding rust 😉 Mail me, Korbo can send you some once we got it in the states or just buy it since its cheap tbh.
Also Winter formula is made for Winter and not storage, that oil can compared to the 1st Coom version from amazon while the current Coom is 2,5x the inhibitor concentration. Not sure if increased rust protection does improvents here, it should but the degree is unknown
I’ve got notes and stuff to send you. With pictures. When the thread got derailed I started trolling and vague posting. It wasn’t a scientific experiment and just for fun and your product would have been perfect if I didn’t lose a barn door.
I know, the old formulation (winter version from amazon) was sub 5% rust inhibitor which is pretty good while the adjustment last summer kicked its inhibitor concentration above 10% IMAO, thats massive for a gun oil so its able to be used for long term storage under indooe conditions. If you got a barn and snow you 100% need to setup a protected place outside so snow can hammer it and a sample under a roof that gets hammered by UV light and humidity, thats the worst you can do for fun amd I hope its survivig that punishment 😀 Thats the image i took 11h ago, its the 50th day exposed to full rain and sun. Thats what im calling designated rust inhibitor, absolute brutal result tbh
Dang that actually great! Yeah I’m not a scientist just an idiot electrician and part time farmer so I didn’t expect anything scientific from my results. At the end of the day the CCPs finest chinesium survived the worst winter we’ve ever had here and that’s all that matters to me. I’m glad to support a PrepHoleommando.
nta, but lubeanon do you have more up for sale yet? also you could potentially market this new heavy duty storage formula to those types that say, would consider buying a gun and burying it like a squirrel or storing it in a wall for 50 years, or just a very very long term fuddpa forgot he had that gun storage grease
Fresh Coom is online at Moka´s within days, was shipped that week (I had last week in mind, sorry). Its also for EDC, but using it for save storage is the same without the need for more product to the surface. For expected long term storage or boating accidents its better to use a wetter patch and let it dry for 1-2 days before its getting packed inside foil for a nice swim ;D But next spring we add a 100mL version that is cheaper and maybe a 250-500mL prepper version inside a full metall can for storage. Not sure what someone wants to do with >250mL, thats enouth to prep 500 guns for war storage or wild stalking missions without planned cleaning times IMAO.
>I'm afraid i'm not familiar with moka's store
nevermind, I only remembered buying from amazon, as much as myself and others dislike it some advertisement of where we can find it would be good for the not terminally online. but even though this was probably old versions, I have never felt my 1897 winchester feel smoother than after I oiled it, and I've tried everything short of actually taking a stone to all of the edges of it's working surfaces, and old winchester 97's are known for their "pop" when cycling.
Good job, I look forward to your future improvements
I´ve dicedid to ignore amazon till the ugly rubber caps are improved and the brand name is patented (i cant edit my own product site without brand patent, why selling without product text?), we do everything before the rust inhibitor launches so we start at multiple webshops including amazon. The webshops also got the information that we want a 1st launch price reduction and since they agree there is no reason to buy from amazon 😉 Gun owners should spend money to non-gunfriendly companies, I get that part.
If you own a Ruger, the rust inhibitor might turn it into a HK or german made SIG 😉 I think you mean CSC grease, should I do a rust test with it for fun? Krautanon sended me something from TOTAL
Late summer or autumn. You can also put plastic foil above the foam so its not contacting the gun. Do rust inhibitor + plastic foil and I see no reason why its rusting since you reduced the conditions to humidity and thats easy.
>If you own a Ruger, the rust inhibitor might turn it into a HK or german made SIG 😉
kek
>I think you mean CSC grease
Nope, CRC Sta-Lube Lithium grease, made here in PA.
>Late summer or autumn. You can also put plastic foil above the foam so its not contacting the gun. Do rust inhibitor + plastic foil and I see no reason why its rusting since you reduced the conditions to humidity and thats easy.
Last soft case I owned, a hole opened in the liner from the front sight scraping. Made it real easy to reach in and rip out the plastic sheet inside that was trapping moisture. Even made it washable too. I'll probably do it on this one as well once it gets soaked when I get caught in the rain hunting next. I have to also stop forgetting to take it out of the case once I get home.
All those fucking products and i cant test them since muh fucking hazard rules 🙁 but be aware that grease got a high risk to pick a wro g product, i had worse rusting than Ballistol with some because the lack of rust inhibitors and once rust undermines those product it spreades below the grease like cancer. Looks funny tbh, i need to make a time lapse about that
I just wiped it on and off. Just like you would with oil. It works for now and doesn't soak into my wood stock which is all I really need ATM until I try out the rust inhibitor stuff you're putting out later.
>not familiar with moka's store

You're welcome, cumrad

>Mail me, Korbo can send you some once we got it in the states or just buy it since its cheap tbh.
When's that coming? My 10/22 barrel rusts when it rains. It's especially bad since the Ruger soft case is a piece of shit; it basically has a weed fabric interior, a thin plastic sheet layer, a grey floor mat foam layer (~1") inside, then woven nylon outside. It never dries and due to the stupid plastic layer, wet guns just sit on wet fabric and it doesn't wick into the foam away from the gun. It also can't be washed because the plastic layer(s) just hold the water like a fucking bag. Oh and my 10/22 now has a heat shield for reasons of "it looks cool" so it's even harder to dry since half the barrel is covered, kek.
Did you do the toes too? Please say yes...

You can also post everything you wrote in 1 post, no need to flood the board.
The thread is on topic moron
Your newgayry and namefag simping is cancer
Fuck off to /soc/ or back to your discord, retarded tourist
This is our final correspondance.
The thread is on topic. Idk why you're having a shitfit over it but you seem like the type to get mad over anything.
You are so clearly a noguns war tourist
You can /Soc/ my cock newfag. I’m reclaiming this board from 4chan and /int/ and you can’t stop me
go away tard
Best thread currently on PrepHole
keep going op, I'm fascinated by your farm life and your csomoline findings
Thanks bro. This is easily the best thread on the board so far. Half trolling half findings. All fun.
Are you near a village that starts with M and has 5 letters?
Columbus.
That's right I'm from murica
Imagine how happy and gleeful OP was thinking about posting this thread? 'Finally' he thought 'I get to make a REAL PrepHole thread for REAL PrepHoleommando's and not those filthy war tourists. It will be like OLD times when ME and the BOYS got some GODDARN RESPECT around here". He had done his little experiment. Diligently kept his notes (but lost his purchasing receipt lmao) and was looking forward to being hailed as PrepHole's next savior. Then he pressed post.
And look, look at this thread you filthy animals. Never change PrepHole never change.
Yeah I was gonna eat some KFC and fuck my fat sister to celebrate and it had gone so wrong.
Oh hey i used to live right around thereabouts
OP talking about findings, notes and pictures like this is some experiment is cracking me up. Did you finish grade school OP? 'Cause this shit wouldn't fly for even a high school experiment.
>Mentions where he lives, where he bought the item and for how much. Doesn't mention make, model and date of production. Like any of us are going to Ohio, buy you a beer and then head over to Vance to buy one of his shitty chinese shotguns.
>'Shit' isn't a proper description of a finish if your experiment involves a possible degradation. The baseline is unclear and the things that were 'shit' haven't been properly documented. The experiment has failed before it started.
>Same goes for 'heavily lubed' and 'old cosmoline on SKS days' as qualifications for the lubing. How much did you use? How did you apply it? What were conditions in which you applied said lube? How old was the lube? In what conditions was the lube stored?
>'Some spots had taken hold before the new year' moron we don't know what the relation is between that and your 3 months and 10 day interval period shit.
>Posts shitty pictures and expects us to go look for the results ourselves.
Spend more money on education then on food and maybe we'll see something properly done next time. Until then you're not allowed into the hallowed halls of the a/k/ademy.
>Which day did the snowstorm blow the barn door off? How long till it was covered in snow and for how long was it covered. Did the snow ever thaw out during that period? How long till you fixed the door?

My favorite part of PrepHole is when someone can’t identify a gun. 4 paragraphs to say I’m a no guns and I’m can’t even identify basic gun types and brands. Please hold my hand Mr OP. Please OP please circle the rust please I beg you.
Why does this cunt keep posting but doesn't finish his fucking story. Just tell us your fucking story or fuck off OP.
You came to PrepHole to post a report (lol wtf are you gay?) and that report didn't include basic information like what you were testing, and you didn't expect to get shit on? Are you new?
>I absolutely smothered this gun (think the old cosmoline on Sks days) in Lubeanaons new winter formula
Anon, if you can still see the white color you used too much. There's no point in wasting money.
Also this. Gun oil doesn't work when it gets rubbed off, you'll want something that creates a solid, dry film for that kind of situation so it can't be rubbed off.
However, it's nice to see an effortpost (kinda) in-between all the ukraine spam.
Bretty based thread OP you got the noguns seething. Bumping just to make them seethe more.
>mfw all these sneeding war tourists
Did ukraine lose another city or something to set you gays off?
Since im in the lab producing overbased testing compounds, i can share a image. That is a pure rustinhibitor for industrial production and storage, the good and non-toxic kind. Gun oils are limited to inhibitors that wont cause freezing so that stuff is not used for any oil i've seen from checking msds. This is a very hard and waxy substance, not a stand alone inhibitor (only a chemical within a formulation). But unlike gun oils those products arr designated to be non-liquid and rather like very soft candle wax so they survive outdoor storage or even exposed to weather storage in a few cases, the all liquid industry products are rated for shelter storage limited to 8-12months which is Coomoil V2 . OP tested something impossible to survive, not his fault tbh. There are no products on the current market that withstand a few days of rain or storage under snow, only the designated thick film inhibitors like that aerosol from CRC and undercoating can. But those products suck ass if used on guns or cause allergic skin reactions which is shit. Soon we bring it out and im givung out a instruction how to prep steel for rust testing and how to design a test so the outcome is somehow usable. I would love to see testing results from around the USA and see how its doing in the special climates :3 its out in autumn, so we see US snow tests and i hope someone does that for me and share it public
This a one of the strongest inhibitor packs from US production. Depending on formulation its used for car production on parts that never see light. Its based af but not useful for formulating something for guns. Its a solid but still flows to repair demage on the surface like you see from the parts i cutted out
Thats a special Vaseline for formulations to reach special specs. A partner of us produced a formulation that was tested and proven to be used for a nuclear power plant, im not using it because we got better solutions. I just got it,why not 🙂 Just because something wont fit doesnt mean its not fitting for another job. For classic industrial formulations its very nice, but you guys live in states like Florida so its no option

Lubeanon has asked me to repeat it with steel which I will take him up on.
Overall I do and would continue to trust my ccw to German Bros mystery juice.
Here are other guns with coom on them
I expected more. KYS OP for failing
I've seen guns rusting after 2 weeks inside a save. OP stores a gun for 4 months exposed to the weather, snow and maybe rain and all we get are a few spots of rust?
If they're in a safe or any smallish enclosed area chuck in a Napier VP90 pack (or whatever the local equivalent is). Speaking of Napier, Silensave spray is really good too.
Take my herbal condiment and fuck off OP
