I need?

I need PrepHolenowie information about a biological or chemical agent.
It appears yellow in aspect and can be dispersed from planes in vapor or powder form.
It supposedly kills very quickly, has an effect of turning people black or withered and contaminates the area for years to come.

Would this description match any known compounds anyone has ever heard of?

      more specific

also i dont think any nerve gas would have extreme topical effects, atleast from what i know

    Sounds like Nova6

what would be the real life equivalent?

Nova6 is literally just mustard gas on steroids.

This description matches the Vietnam war claims of chemical agents which were actually in all likelihood probably just bee poop.

    >yellow
    >contaminates area for years to come
    >turns people black or withered
Obviously you speak of chinese malignants.
jokes aside its rather obviously anthrax.

anthrax would be too slow, the effects of what im describing would be more instant

Nova6 is literally just mustard gas on steroids.

is roided mustard gas a thing?

m8, as a chemist I can tell you that every single fucking chemical is yellow it doesn't narrow shit down at all
why that is would require an extensive discussion of molucular orbital theory that I will spare you.

most of the compounds i encounter are white in pure crystal form. mostly dont kill people though

        >most of the compounds i encounter are white in pure crystal form
lmao, at least call them "off-white"
every single thing I have ever made in my carreer that wasn't some standard chemical was a yellow oil

nah proper white, but then again i worked in pharma for humanmed so no übertoxic stuff.
          worst would have been HCn

I mean, I guess in pharma people are pretty anal about purity and they generally don't make weird shit.

black market LSD regularly comes in higher purity than what the original Sandoz Delysid was

It was a different time, besides LSD, pure or in solution is extremely prone to decomposition. You might remember something happened in 1961 that led to a massive push towards improving purity and enantiomeric purity

                this

"consumer grade" pharma takes extreme lengths for stability.
nothing you can buy is ever completely pure either for application dosage, increasing stability, so some npc doesnt off himself or bioavailabilty.

Not really, mustard is a blister agent. Debilitating and sometimes fatal long-term or in a high enough concentration, but nowhere near instantly lethal.

OP's sounds like...some kind of highly-persistent blood or nerve agent. Tabun and V-series nerve agent are classified as persistent and deployed in liquid form. In theory if you could somehow combine a V-series or Novichok nerve agent with sulfur mustard it might fit the criteria.

are the mentioned nerve agents quick acting?
                never heard of them

          Organochemist?

        >is roided mustard gas a thing
Maybe? The thing about nova6 was that the germans wanted to create a more potent mustard gas. So they essentially modified the gas into something really potent that can kill someone in matter of minutes.

is this off a real life premise? as i understand its just from a vidya.

          petro/derivate industry?

nah, early stage research and somehow nitro groups on everything.
