Yeah, their aircraft especially look really nice. They're also one of the only nations that actually bother operating and maintaining flying boats, so they're basically the best by default.
i like how during the development of this jet the japanese decided they needed to create high performing engines, and in just a few years they created some that matched the Pratt & Whitney F119.
meanwhile the entire Soviet Empire, Russian Federation and China have never even gotten close to developing something close to it.
Why can't other big boy countries do it? I don't get it. Rasha and Chyna already make engines, it's not like they'd be starting the entire industry from scratch. They should have more than enough people who already know exactly what's lacking and what needs to be done about it to start making better stuff. Why couldn't they catch up in a couple of years if they threw money and people at the problem? What makes it so difficult?
Chinese metalworking is notoriously shitty to drive up profits, which is why you never want to buy chinese steel/iron products. I imagine russia is about the same, on top of them probably lacking knowledgeable personnel in their industry at this point.
Its just what autocratic shitholes do.
Nobody goes to china wanting precision parts. There’s a reason any major factory producing western parts in chinkland have western overseers and only the line workers are chinese.
Russia outsourced their drones to fucking iran my dude.
Theyre incapable of doing anything unless theyre being overseen by actual civilizations, or in china’s case they steal something from a superior civilization.
Boomer fuddlore tier opinion regarding china's metal working at this day.
One of the best chef knives I've worked with was a Chinese made steel. Ight graines, uniform construction.
I almost bought some Costco deal on "German" knives until I felt it. They were hollow, loose grains, generally a shitty construction. Sad to see Germans give up their craft and lose to some chinaman who got paralyzed in a foundry and now has to forge chef knives for a living.
That being said my most favorite chef knife is a wusthoff ikon 8 inch.
But don't kid yourself. China has definitely increased their metallurgical integrity because they can't afford to sell cheap shit anymore. Especially now that Vietnam will shit out potmetal faster than quarters get dropped at nickel night at a whorehouse
>my most favorite knife is a wushtoff ikon
lol >muh grains of steel
Boy you have no idea what you're talking about. Austenite grains are microscopic and can't be "felt"
My god you're dumb, but then you proved it by saying the best knife you ever used was some 6x overpriced chinkoid "damascus" knife instead of a proper workhorse like the $120 9 inch tojiro DP gyuto.
chronic brain drain. the vast difference in quality of life ensures that anyone capable of designing these engines leaves the 3rd world before they can become useful to their home country. japan has a high quality of life, and is therefore not affected.
Chinks poach people that can be poached - third grade retards with ego problems who think the only reason they haven't made it big is that the establishment is fucking them over, not that they're retards and only working in the field by pure accident. Anyone else is already living extremely comfortably, get the recognition they want and don't really have a reason to risk living in constant fear of assasination in some Chinese secret town in the ass end of nowhere with no access to outside world.
Very, very rarely the establishment is actually fucking them over because they're best experts in a field west doesn't care much about (see Gerald Bull) but even then if the west doesn't care about something it's probably not really that important to begin with.
China just copied Russian engines and they have the same problem Russian engines have, great peak performance but a penchant for eating themselves alive during use.
Russian engines (and the Chinese off-shoots) require a dozen times more maintainance than a comparable performance western engine. They also tend to much larger and heavier (which is why Russian jets were commonly larger than western counter parts).
Realistically Japan has more advanced turbine blade materials and manufacturing methods, China has a more powerful engine but again its based off Russian tech anyway and can't sustain long term operation. So I'd argue Japan is more technically advanced in the field, China is simply able to pump out a more powerful engine right now.
Yes, that is the point, japan invented the western copy strategy long before china did, nothing innovative or original comes from japan and at this point their innovations are behind china by several years but still ahead of india, for now at least, but would not be surprised if indian jet technologies surpasses japan over the next decade or so

Lol delusional cope, there's a reason why japan got out of the commercial aircraft development business, they figured out they can only copy/buy western technology and then "modify" and claim as their own, nobody is falling for this shit, same copy-pasta they do in everything up and down in their economy and why their economy has tanked over the past few decades because china is doing the copy-pasta / rebrand better, both have the same precise fundamental strategies

Japan is a world leader in materials science and has a good track record in jet turbine research and development as well.
I'm not sure what you're smoking, but it doesn't take a genius to know you're the moronshill that takes any opportunity to make Japan look bad even when its flat wrong and easy to prove you're the retard.

The Safran M88-2 makes the 11200lbf of thrust from an engine that is 139.3" long, and 27.4" diameter with a weight of 1978lbs
The IHI-XF5 produces 11,000lbf of thrust while only being 120" long, 24" diameter, and weighing only 1420lbs.
The prototype IHI-XF9 scales up from the XF5 at about 190 inches in length, 39" diameter, with an unknown weight, and in testing reportedly produced just under 25,000lbf of thrust under normal operation and sounds 33,000lbf with afterburners. With the program goal being 44,000lbf with afterburners.
Not to say France isn't working on it. They'll need to develop the technology if they want to build FCAS.
I think it's just because they didn't design a flying brick with internal bays (because no stealth) so the need for smaller engines with more power wasn't as strong. This also probably mean that the rafale needs less maintenance, 20k/h against 80k/h for the f22, even though the engines are probably not the only factor they play a large role
They're decent engines, but they only produce 11250lbf of thrust each.
The F119s in the F-22 produces 26,000lbf of thrust each.
Totally different class of performance.
Also if you want to compare to Japan.

Which the XF5 which flew for months in flight tests?
Or the XF9 that I specifically stated was a prototype and never tried to imply it wasn't (I also stated, it's still far from it's operational performance goal)
Japan are one of 3 counties in the world capable of making the super high strength turbine blades needed for these kinds of jet engines.
USA, UK and Japan.
That fighter doesn't look soulful to me. It looks like one of those die-cast toys that you pull back and it rolls forward.
They abandoned the program and they are now building a 6th gen fighter with Italy.
Speaking of which, the latest design of GCAP is showcased at DSEI Japan 2023.
RR and IHI are jointly developing the new engine too, perhaps the only combination capable of building an advanced fighter engine possibly comparable to the state of the art American ones.

Apparently >Japan, the United Kingdom and Italy announced the creation of the Global Combat Air Program, or GCAP, in December. The trilateral agreement to develop the new jet fighter grew out of the U.K.-led Tempest and Japan’s F-X jet fighter programs. Like those two defunct programs did, GCAP is shooting for a 2035 debut.

And yet the nips still gave up like cucks instead of fighting like real men, there is a reason why the modern japanese flag is primarily a white flag with a red bullethole in the center, lmfao
Kinda, the Nips knew Little Boy being a gun type uranium bomb was very hard to make enough U-235 for. They assumed it was a one off and less a threat. After Fat Man, a plutonium device the metric changed. Again the Japs knew the only way to make P-239 was with a reactor, and if the Americans had said reactor. It was proof scalable production.
The japs were trying to surrender over a year before the nukes were dropped it was the US that was not satisfied with a peaceful surrender and wanted to continue to wreck japan
Unironically gave Japanese nationalists a dignified way out. "We never surrender except for when they deploy new super weapons against us, but otherwise we totally would not have surrendered"
Lmfao US had something like 50,000 casualties in the Pacific theatre compared to 3+ million Japanese soldiers killed, the kill ratio was almost stupidly high given the enormous gap between US soldier quality/toughness/smarts and Japanese soldier quality/toughness/smarts
Tbh, like 80% of Japanese deaths was due to the us navy’s blockade and bypass strategy. Most Japanese garrisons were left starving and diseased with no way to escape
>when your entire nation's commitment to sheer unrelenting autism combined with unmitigated disregard for common sense prompts the planet's sole military superpower to invent entirely new fields of science and categories of destructive weapons technology just so they can avoid the aggravation of dealing with you face-to-face one more time.
i dunno as a yank i'm probably biased, but i always considered the fact that the japs are the only people to ever get themselves nuked as something to take a bit of pride in.
really it's high praise when you think about it.
>Yep, same here, I have a soft spot for the nips at this point, the bastards took that nuke on the nose and came out better for it, good for them.
Yeah for sure. A lot of countries/societies with their backs against the ropes in similar circumstances would probably beat their chest and try to claim a commensurate level of willingness to "go out swinging rather than surrender" but let's be honest, would it really seem like a creditable threat coming from anybody other than Japan? Credit where credit is due: with the Japs it wasn't merely posturing. They were totally willing to pay the price and "go there" if we decided to take them up on the offer. Fortunately for everyone involved we didn't.
A cultural image based entirely on the notion of mass suicidal retardation
for absolutely zero gain in return is a tough sell for pretty much country other than Imperial Japan.
Impressive.
[...] >when your entire nation's commitment to sheer unrelenting autism combined with unmitigated disregard for common sense prompts the planet's sole military superpower to invent entirely new fields of science and categories of destructive weapons technology just so they can avoid the aggravation of dealing with you face-to-face one more time.
Yes, but enough about Germany.
>Yes, but enough about Germany.
oh them? yawn
couldn't even stay in the game long enough to warrant the honor of getting nuked like a respectable adversary. a jabroni move by a jabroni country
It's more about a joke about how the atomic bomb was developed because of concerns the Germans would develop one. There was a bit of disappointment among those in the know when Germany surrendered to earlier. Fortunately there was another live dummy hanging around the Pacific.
In hindsight i think looking back on the final months of the war in europe it was obvious that germany was circling the drain and gonna more or less tap out with all the energy of of a punctured whoopie cushion thus rendering the notion of resorting to nukes to finally "compel" an otherwise resolute germany to finally give up a pretty silly one - at least as far as the USA/UK/FR & frens were concerned >Fortunately there was another live dummy hanging around the Pacific.
kind of an ironic twist of fate that the one remaining guinea pig left was not only the most suitable candidate, it was also by far the most deserving.
>anniversary of Freemasonic expulsion from Japanese Empire .... >Wendel Wilkie's election fortification in Republican primary by UK spooks (Thomas Mahl, A Desperate Deception) to secure FDR's last election
The US was massively compromised by the British (OSS being folded over into CIA is the problem with the latter) then the Soviets following FDR's unilateral recognition of the Bolshevik government. The atomic bombings were about removing the USA's ability to dictate the terms of peace by force -- especially and specifically stopping Stalin from occupying half of fucking Europe. On one hand you have naive and decadent US carpetbagger establishment thinking they'll ally with kumbaya Socialists in Russia to defang European Colonial squabbles forever, on the other you have British interests pursuing "fuck up the Continent at any price" to prevent Moscow-Berlin telluric power. Walla, the moral hazard of nuclear proliferation and current year blowback in Ukraine (Atomic Spy: The Dark Lives of Klaus Fuchs, Greenspan)
Unironically gave Japanese nationalists a dignified way out. "We never surrender except for when they deploy new super weapons against us, but otherwise we totally would not have surrendered"
Unconditional surrender is perverse, "We'll stop killing when we feel like it." Japs were suing for peace for a year, even dispensing with "no occupation" for token Emperor immunity from prosecution. This is your country on gigantic Soviet espionage penetration, to the point Hopkins & White are running circles around decrepit FDR.
Lol this, the japs wanted to give up way before the nukes, but the US and Soviets were having too much fun killing japs and the nukes were largely considered as among the most heroic military events in human history according to those who write history which are the winners, 1000 years from now people will consider the nukes as heroic as the romans crushing/genociding the germans at teutoberg forests
>Unconditional surrender is perverse, "We'll stop killing when we feel like it." Japs were suing for peace for a year, even dispensing with "no occupation" for token Emperor immunity from prosecution.
Sorry, but if you're the high school A/V club nerd you don't get to suckerpunch the Varsity 1st-string quarterback in the dick and while he's laid up icing his junk go around campus giving out wedgies/shitting in punchbowls and then expect to be able to negotiate yourself of the righteous full-spectrum ass beating that is inevitably coming your way.
No, there is no "plea down" option where you get to set terms in any way. You had your merry little run of mayhem and got more than your money's worth. Even if the QB also happens to be a notorious roided up psycho with early onset CTE and self-control issues. You already pissed off everybody else who MIGHT step in and otherwise say "you know Takeshi is kind of a dick but damn this level of retaliatory physical brutality seems a bit excessive."
Now the bill is coming due.
And absolutely nobody feels sorry for you.

I don't think you understand where japan falls in the US geopolitical strategy, until a decade or so ago japan was literally china to the US and the period from ww2 to the late 1990s was the US treating japan like how we treat china today other than the military angle, the anti-japanese sentiment is ingrained in the US culture and part of the reason why almost no japanese live on the US mainland...
In reality japan is like germany, conquered adversaries that are being kept on a tight leash with the guise of alliance, but note that like germany the US never asks japan to get involved in combat operations because it would be antithetical to the cuck role the US intends for japan, the US and UK have never fought a war against each other (unlike japan and germany) for the past few centuries and have been close military allies in every modern conflict AND is asked to support US military operations in combat roles
The only reason why japan is getting more attention from the US now is because of the coalition developed against china, full stop
To be considered close allies, a country needs to satisfy all of these criteria:
1. Never fought a war against the US in the modern era
2. Share same capitalist value system
3. Strong public support at the grassroots level of any allied nations
In reality countries like Norway, Netherlands, Ireland are closer US allies let alone the true inner circle allies like the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand
At its core the US is culturally an anglosphere nation even though obviously not ethnically, but the language, culture and system is anglosphere, the japanese culture is probably further from the anglosphere culture than countries like china and india in reality
Lmao, the US has been BEGGING japan to re-arm and build a strong military since the 1960s.

Keep in mind that he considers japanese imperial family to be koreans, so please be patient with him
The funny thing about this "muh imperial family is korean" is that one or two instances of political marriages from outside Japan happened at a time where Korea wasn't even a thing. Also, the imperial line of Japan, while unbroken, isn't descended in a straight line. There are multiple times where they have to pick relatives from distant branch houses to be emperors so whatever supposed "Korean" blood in the imperial line is probably no longer even there anymore.
The nips literally worship ancient Korean chads, this particularly dude Susanoo was a manmore Korean that according to Shinto theology came on a boat from the Silla region of Korea, effectively Shinto's version of Apollo + Thor, this is why nips have and always will be the slave race to Altaic Korean masterrace, lmfao

Disliking the place, they crossed the sea in a boat made of clay until they arrived at Torikami Peak (鳥上之峯, Torikami no mine) by the upper waters of the river Hi in Izumo.

Anybody that knows anything about the japanese shinto religion knows that susanoo is the brother of amaterasu, the goddess of the sun and essentially their version of zeus/athena/artemis except female...susanoo is basically thor/apollo/ares, what is clear in the shinto religion is that susanoo came from the silla region of korea, but amaterasu origin is still not entirely clear and can be interpreted either way...western scholars believe that this was due to the yayoi males from korea (susanoo) conquering and admixing with the jomon females from japan (amaterasu) thereby creating the modern japanese race, hence why modern japanese all have y yayoi dna and some level of x jomon dna, the y jomon dna is effectively extinct except in certain regions of hokkaido and okinawa

There's no proof that the Yayoi was Korean. Different people can inhabit the same location in different times. It also makes sense if the Yayoi settled in Korean peninsula first then resettled in Japan leaving behind the later ancestors of modern Koreans.
>susanoo came from the silla region of korea
Again, he came from heaven, made a short stay in Korea then arrived at Japan. A British visiting South Korea then continue his vacation in Japan doesn't make him "came from" Korea.

The best part is, while morons go we wuz Japanese emperorz all the time, Korea's premier historical record Samguk Sagi says the exact opposite, that one of the three founding dynasties of Silla was Japanese. This is really an inconvenient description to suggest Korea has been dominated by Japanese since literal inception even though Japs don't give a shit as ruling morons is nothing new for them lol

He was a member of the Gyeongju Seok clan, one of the noble clans that shared the Silla throne during the early Common Era. >He was born in a small kingdom 1000 li一 northeast of Wa (Japan).[2] (The name of the kingdom is Dapana-guk 다파나국 多婆那國二 "Dapana Country" according to Samguk Sagi, or Ryongseong-guk 룡성국 龍城國 "Dragon Castle/City Country," Jeongmyeong-guk 正明國 "Proper and Enlightened Country," Wanha-guk 琓夏國 "(A Kind of) Jade Summer Country," or Hwaha-guk 花厦國 "Flower Mansion Country"[3] according to Samguk Yusa.) His father, King Hamdalpa, was a king of this kingdom; his mother was a queen or princess of another kingdom, called Nyeo-guk 女国 "Woman Country." >Hogong is chief retainer who served for establishment of Silla. He also discovered Kim Alji who is the founder of Kim clan in Korea. He got involved to three royals who are founder of Silla. He has Japanese origin. Tal-hae also came over by ship. The location of his birth place Dapana Country is estimated as somewhere in the Japanese archipelago.

>Well IDK they buy a ton of our MIC produced shit and provide a FUCK ton of R&D kickbacks to our MIC

They've been building up the most capable ASW force outside of the US since the 1970s/80s, they've been building a large destroyer fleet to provide anti-air and missile defense capabilities that while are focused on japan itself, can also be used to intercept a ballistic missile heading to the US above japan. Not to mention integrating their sensors with AEGIS into the US sensor network.
Also, pretty sure japan has one of the largest hydrophone arrays in the world to keep an ear out for Chinese and russian subs.
Again, you can pretend all you want they're not a good ally, but you've not given a single reason how they're not a good ally, you just have excuses for anything I do bring up.

Shit then, I guess China is really our greatest ally by that logic. Also you heavily over estimate JMSDF, their military is massively underfunded. >Not to mention integrating their sensors with AEGIS into the US sensor network.
Like every NATO nation? What so special? >Again, you can pretend all you want they're not a good ally, but you've not given a single reason how they're not a good ally, you just have excuses for anything I do bring up.
You've not explained how they are a good ally other than they build shit and sometimes sell it to us. And to how they aren't a great ally, they've never fought for us. They haven't supported us in our geopolitical goals until very recently and that has been very weak. Everything they've done has been about self-interest, with minimal comprises. Which is fair, but pretending that makes them a great ally as they've got lots of hulls in the water and they are worried about China is retarded.

Without japan we don't have CMCs (at least not as early), we don't have radar absorbing composites (again, at least not as early), we wouldn't have SM-3 IIA (again, not as early) which is an integral part of our nuclear missile defense.
Again, the whole point is to try and quantify who is a better ally, i'd argue japan is easily the choice because of what i said, if you want to prove me wrong just go ahead and start doing it.

Because Japan doesn't have super carriers, or nuclear reactors on any of their ships, further they don't have to worry about long range logistics since their entire navy operates in their local region, unlike the US which has to support fleet operations across the entire world simultaneously.
There is no way in hell japan could support a true blue water navy at the size of the JMSDF with their current defense spending.

What other nation is an island with the economy of japan?
The UK would be the closest comparison, so let's compare.
Seems like a decent comparison, the UK has a focus on air power so they have 2 nuclear carriers and they have nuclear ballistic missiles so their 4 SSBNs. So they have their budget going towards larger mega projects and nuclear reactors with the associated costs, which is how Japan can afford so many destroyers compared to the UK.
Overall though, seems to make sense to me.

Yeah, I said the SSBNs and related nuclear reactor development + Aircraft carriers.
Japan doesn't do nukes for political reasons and the US is the eternal ally so they feel they don't need them. As for carriers, japan is obviously changing their attitude their with the F-35B on the Izumo-class, but that's very recent and remains to be seen how far they take that. Whereas the UK is obviously focusing on air power since they're the only western navy besides the US to have more than 1 carrier.

yes, Japan is investing for their own interests, but so are NATO and all our other "allies", none of them are investing in US weapons because they want to be a good ally. Japan is investing heavily, doing tons of joint training, and a lot of R&D sharing is done between the US and Japan. Considering the level of joint training both nations do, I don't think you can point to any other ally that does as much joint training as the US and Japan.

Like the previous anon noted, it's a close toss up between the bongs and the nips, both of whom are very close allies and picking one over the hard would be very difficult. Our other allies have been much more flexible and willing to go the distance. They been willing to fight for us in wars they'd never go near because we wanted allies. Working on systems together doesn't make us allies, just development partners otherwise we'd be allies with Russia and China. >Considering the level of joint training both nations do, I don't think you can point to any other ally that does as much joint training as the US and Japan.

JMSDF and JASDF have long been key players in the containment of Soviet/Russian Pacific Fleet including doomsday submarines. Not only do they operate huge ASW force of thier own to bring pressure to bear on it but they share massive submarine detection infrastructure in the Pacific with the US, the value of which can't be overstated.
Japan even provides some satellite payload space to help the US build a space sensor network
https://spacenews.com/u-s-delivers-first-of-two-space-sensors-to-be-hosted-on-japanese-satellites/
and their satellite constellation itself is also an important asset for the US.
https://www.c4isrnet.com/battlefield-tech/space/2019/12/19/the-air-force-will-need-terminals-that-work-with-more-than-gps/ >The annual defense policy bill, which was passed by both chambers of the legislature this week, calls on the Air Force to develop a prototype receiver capable of utilizing multiple global navigation satellite systems in addition to GPS, such as the European Union’s Galileo and Japan’s QZSS satellites. The belief is that if the GPS signal is degraded or denied, war fighters could switch to one of those other systems to get the PNT data they need.
Japan is practically the only country the US can count on in the war with China over Taiwan
https://www.csis.org/analysis/first-battle-next-war-wargaming-chinese-invasion-taiwan
...and so on and on. Japanese contributions rarely come under the spotlight due in part to the pacifist constitution thing, but it's really big.
> Lmao, the US has been BEGGING japan to re-arm and build a strong military since the 1960s.
Just trust me bro correct?
Lmfao if the US wants japan to arm up they will be armed up, japan military policy is 100% dictated by the US and anybody that thinks differently is delusional, there is a reason why say for example that japanese submarines only have torpedos and no missiles, etc
The US was asking Japan to set up their own 75,000 man military in 1951, and japan basically refused until the US forced them to.
Ever since the US has been asking the JSDF to expand further, and Japan had their military budget capped to 1% of GDP to prevent this.
They FINALLY uncapped it this year and are increasing defense spending to 2% of GDP in the next 5 years.
>I'd love to hear what france has done for us in the last 100 years
Dragging the US into Vietnam while throwing a tantrum with a threat of aligning with the Soviet had the US not intervene
Typical japanese people absolutely detest westerners more so than whites detest blacks in the US, there are always a few edgy japanese that embrace westerners but their anti-westerner racism is so prevalent that many restaurants outside of the typical areas where westerners are located openly prohibit westerners from places like restaurants, bars and clubs
>UK have never fought a war against each other

it's just that Japanese culture is probably the most popular foreign culture in the usa

I think he's a retard who doesn't understand that US concerns about being eclipsed by Japan economically in the 90's, which is why Japan rules everything in cyberpunk material from that era, doesn't mean the US viewed them as the great Satan, and is conflating the general issues that cyberpunk material brings up with regards to fear of the future with the US thinking it was Japan's unique doing.
Or he's a retard and/or trolling. Pick whichever answer you like.
Shit, I didn't realize it was still the 1950s. Yes, as I mentioned almost no japanese live on the mainland, over half of all japanese in the US live in hawaii, and they all feel a sense of separatism even more so than puerto rico, so in a country of 340+ million having probably 500,000 japanese on the mainland is a drop in the bucket, keep in mind that of the 500,000 on the mainland about 300,000 live in california, so less than 200,000 japanese live in the mainland outside of california, there are probably more latvians, bulgarians or georgians in the US mainland outside of california
Over half of japanese in the US lives in California or Hawaii, states like Iowa, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Missouri, etc. have less than 10k japanese in the entire state lmfao, effectively invisible to most of the US
so you move the goal post

Israel is very focused on what's in its best interest. US is trying to rally up support in SK because they've current got a SK government that's supportive. SK historically ping pongs between isolationist/anti-NK and pro-US stances. They're one of the more unreliable allies when it comes to anything other than NK (and even then their stance softens and hardens depending on presidency). Trying to drum up support their makes sense giving the increasing tensions between US and China and the real potential for a conflict over Taiwan.

Japan's just ahead of the curve. China and South Korean have the same fundamental demographic and economic issues that caused Japan to overheat and slow the fuck down in the 90s. Especially true for China. They're all boned in the end, which is why the Chinese are getting so jumpy. They know they've got a limited amount of time before the stagnate and the West runs away again.

We are all taught that Japanese autonomy is their right. And that we owe them a debt of gratitude for using that autonomy to become our ally. I've seen veterans from the war grieving together at Pearl Harbor. I've seen the grandchildren of these men come here and open businesses. We celebrate their culture as it is fucking cool. They make incredible art and master everything they touch. Which is a big reason a lot of us are here on PrepHole. This wasn't obvious to you? >You know nothing shitlord.
Also Hiromoot is a fucking hero. We are taking Japan to Mars. So fuck you.

Who cares if you have the most missiles on 1 boat if your total missiles carried at sea at any given time is easily 1/2 to 1/3rd of what japan has out.
Lmfao its been proven that 300 japanese ships will all get sunk by 13 korean ships without a single korean casualty, Koreans just mog japs in combat warfare literally something like 1000 to 0 in all-time record against the japs and even more against the chinks, in all seriousness how does a nation that was historically between 1 and 3 million completely beat the fuck out of 30 to 50 million japs and 500+ million chinks? Obviously Koreans are on average 10cm taller but it has to come down to ubermensch in an ocean of barely sentient soulless midget goblinos

South Korea, semifinals, 4th place
Jalab, round of 16, never made even quarterfinals so never placed
Incidentally, although its obvious SK is the best soccer nation in Asia the next best is not japan, its North Korea, they made the quarterfinals at the world cup level, only asians to make semis/quarters in asia are South Korea and North Korea

Sure must've been fun for them while it lasted. >killed all of america's pilots
Fundamental rule of biology:
It's real easy to kill a lot of something. Only slightly less so to kill most of something.
But it's damn near impossible to kill ALL of something.
And if that something happens to be US Navy, Marine, and Army Air Corps aviators, then you've probably got quite a fucking problem indeed.
There was a UFC event recently with asian fighters, the South Koreans and Japanese were all good but what stood out is that the South Koreans were all middleweight to heavyweights but the Japanese were not even lightweights, they were flyweights and featherweights, really really small dudes
Aside from the obligatory butthurt against Japan, the moronshill's motive of pursuing American attention comes from terrible memories of the Acheson Line shared by Koreans which they believe is a major cause of the Korean War. Ever since, they've been hell bent on impressing on the US that South Korea is not an irrelevant dispensable asset but the best ally, even though they often shit on the US. It's kinda survival instinct as an eternal vassal state that has always been seeking for affection from the suzerain of the time.
America's best ally is Israel though.
Asian allies are just expendables in conflict against China.
I'd wager that those """"allies"""" will switch sides given the chance.
That's a conscript, every korean male has to undergo 1 to 3 years of military training which is alpha, this guys comparable in japan is 6 inches shorter and 20 pounds lighter that has barely seen the light of day and would not know where the trigger is from the barrel of a rifle, not to mention guaranteed this conscript would curbstomp you inside of a minute in actual combat gay lmfao

shame how expensive they are, it's doubtful anyone can afford to buy them except maybe the US or the UK.
Sad sub.
It sunk the moskva
i like how during the development of this jet the japanese decided they needed to create high performing engines, and in just a few years they created some that matched the Pratt & Whitney F119.
meanwhile the entire Soviet Empire, Russian Federation and China have never even gotten close to developing something close to it.
Japan are one of 3 counties in the world capable of making the super high strength turbine blades needed for these kinds of jet engines.
USA, UK and Japan.
Its just what autocratic shitholes do.
>t. a fucking retard
Stay mad
Especially now that Vietnam will shit out potmetal faster than quarters get dropped at nickel night at a whorehouse
>my most favorite knife is a wushtoff ikon
lol
>muh grains of steel
Boy you have no idea what you're talking about. Austenite grains are microscopic and can't be "felt"
My god you're dumb, but then you proved it by saying the best knife you ever used was some 6x overpriced chinkoid "damascus" knife instead of a proper workhorse like the $120 9 inch tojiro DP gyuto.
chronic brain drain. the vast difference in quality of life ensures that anyone capable of designing these engines leaves the 3rd world before they can become useful to their home country. japan has a high quality of life, and is therefore not affected.
Isn't China anal about keeping its best people from leaving? Plus everyone's been complaining about chingchongs poaching western specialists for ages.
Why couldn't Sweden, Germany, or Korea do it? Does Volvo not make the blades for their engines?
Lol no, only the US and maybe the UK, Japan is realistically probably between China and India in jet engine technology
China is like 20 years ahead of india.
Yes, that is the point, japan invented the western copy strategy long before china did, nothing innovative or original comes from japan and at this point their innovations are behind china by several years but still ahead of india, for now at least, but would not be surprised if indian jet technologies surpasses japan over the next decade or so
Japan didn't copy shit though. Show me how the IHI XF5 or XF9 are a copy of a western engine. Go ahead and tell me which engine you think it copied so I can show you in detail how fucking moronic you actually are.
Lmao, I asked you to tell me what engine they're copying you stupid moron gay.

My dude, Japan is literally why the US has good turbine blades at all.
> Evolving ceramics for use in jet engines led to a decade-long effort by GE to establish America’s first fully integrated CMC supply chain, which includes a network of four interrelated GE production sites in Ohio, Delaware, North Carolina and, most recently in 2018, Alabama. The Alabama plant, located in Huntsville, is where the raw CMC fibers are made in a joint venture among GE, Safran and Nippon Carbon of Japan, an innovator in raw CMC material.
Japan is a world leader in materials science and has a good track record in jet turbine research and development as well.
I'm not sure what you're smoking, but it doesn't take a genius to know you're the moronshill that takes any opportunity to make Japan look bad even when its flat wrong and easy to prove you're the retard.
I might be wrong but the rafale turbine is made in France by SAFRAN so your information might be false
They're decent engines, but they only produce 11250lbf of thrust each.
The F119s in the F-22 produces 26,000lbf of thrust each.
Totally different class of performance.
Also if you want to compare to Japan.
They'll need to develop the technology if they want to build FCAS.
>comparing an operational military engine with an experimental test bench
do we even know how long it can run before melting itself?
Which the XF5 which flew for months in flight tests?
Or the XF9 that I specifically stated was a prototype and never tried to imply it wasn't (I also stated, it's still far from it's operational performance goal)
France and Germany can definitely make them too, especially since they collaborate + collaborate with the UK
Who are the top dogs when it comes to high performance engines? Pratt and Whitney and Rolls Royce are the obvious ones but who else is there?
General Electric
Duh they can get whatever blueprints they want from the US by asking nicely
Speaking of which, the latest design of GCAP is showcased at DSEI Japan 2023.
RR and IHI are jointly developing the new engine too, perhaps the only combination capable of building an advanced fighter engine possibly comparable to the state of the art American ones.
https://www.janes.com/defence-news/news-detail/dsei-japan-2023-ihi-rolls-royce-progress-gcap-fighter-engine
That actually looks cool. All the NGAD concept arts so far look kinda ugly.
Soon
That's neat, there's hope for the aesthetic of the future.
>GCAP
So they just merge F-X with Tempest?
Yup
Apparently
>Japan, the United Kingdom and Italy announced the creation of the Global Combat Air Program, or GCAP, in December. The trilateral agreement to develop the new jet fighter grew out of the U.K.-led Tempest and Japan’s F-X jet fighter programs. Like those two defunct programs did, GCAP is shooting for a 2035 debut.

> nuclear weapons only used two times in history
> both were by the US targeted on japan
Lmfao
They used 2 nukes because the emperor would not give up after the 1st. That is the undying will of Japan.

In hindsight i think looking back on the final months of the war in europe it was obvious that germany was circling the drain and gonna more or less tap out with all the energy of of a punctured whoopie cushion thus rendering the notion of resorting to nukes to finally "compel" an otherwise resolute germany to finally give up a pretty silly one - at least as far as the USA/UK/FR & frens were concerned
>Fortunately there was another live dummy hanging around the Pacific.
kind of an ironic twist of fate that the one remaining guinea pig left was not only the most suitable candidate, it was also by far the most deserving.
>anniversary of Freemasonic expulsion from Japanese Empire ....
That fighter doesn't look soulful to me. It looks like one of those die-cast toys that you pull back and it rolls forward.
They abandoned the program and they are now building a 6th gen fighter with Italy.
>die-cast toys that you pull back and it rolls forward
>doesn't look soulful
Confirmed SOVLLESS childhood.
we should have sold them f-22s
Japan and South Korea are unironically our greatest allies.
Arigato, greatest fren
4th one commissioned last week.
4 frigates a year ain't bad.
Not bad at all. Nice to see a class of ships that goes beyond two or four like their DDGs. Though I've only seen video of the first ship going down the slipways. The other launching ceremonies were done with the ship already in the water.
still using on of their WWII era music
The two marches they mainly use are Imperial.
Ground forces have the Battotai, naval forces have the Gunkan Machi.
thanks I remembered the opening but couldn't for the love of me remember the title
there is this one guy with his acoustic guitar that does some good versions in his reenactment get up, this is his news from shangai
Neat stuff.

Why are Korea shills so fucking retarded? I absolutely love their K2 tank but these shills make it hard to look at anything Korean.

My mother 50% japanese (mother) / 50% norwegian (father)

>mfw the moronshill (a moroncel of Korean-Norweigian mutt living in the US according to previous posts) is ashamed of his Korean heritage (synonymous for slave race in East Asia) and begins impersonating a man of Yamato heritage
You know during the colonial period such a fraud committed by slave class was punished by capital punishment, don't you?
I've never stepped foot in korea but live in tokyo for over 11 years, that said I often wonder if I was korean instead of japanese if I would be normal human sized instead of 5'5" like my genetic father, genetic mother is 5'0", white step-father is 6'3" so my half siblings are all tall chads and stacies
This is me literally except shorter and probably cuter, srs
That's literally a korean
But I thought the moronshill NEVER came into Japan threads and it was ALWAYS the Japan supporting anon's bringing up Korea first...
Are you telling me the moronshill has been lying this whole time? I for one am shocked and demoralized.
NEVER relax around kimchimorons
I love Japan too OP, they make cool stuff, they aren't gigantic assholes to us like the rest of our "allies", and their women are very cute(like giant squirrels, I also like squirrels)
>I think they’re America’s best ally
How?
They’re better at cyber than the US and they put a lot of research into national defense
>They are a good ally as they like developing their own weapons
Even France of all nations, has been a better ally to the US.
This is delusional.
Japan helped develop the radar absorption materials used in the F-22.
Japan has helped develop Ceramic Matrix Composite materials for use in extremely high heat and high stress environemtns (jet turbines)
Japan was integral in the development of SM-3 IIA
Japan was at the forefront of AESA radar, and flew the first military fighter equipped with a domestic AESA radar before the US
>This is delusional.
How so?
>Japan helped develop the radar absorption materials used in the F-22.
Japan has helped develop Ceramic Matrix Composite materials for use in extremely high heat and high stress environemtns (jet turbines)
>Japan was integral in the development of SM-3 IIA
>Japan was at the forefront of AESA radar, and flew the first military fighter equipped with a domestic AESA radar before the US
And how does that make them a great ally?
Look up japanese defense spending, then look up Japanese R&D that ends up being used by various arms of the US MIC. Then look up US force prescense in japan, and JSDF joint training with the US.
I don't think you can argue anyone else is a greater ally than Japan except the UK which is tied at the hip to the US since WWII and the UK/US shared nuke development.
I was actually stationed in Okinawa (USMC, I know crayons) You're delusional and almost assuredly our resident moronshill.
Well IDK they buy a ton of our MIC produced shit and provide a FUCK ton of R&D kickbacks to our MIC. If that's not a good ally, I'd love to hear what france has done for us in the last 100 years that I should care so much about.
> Lmao, the US has been BEGGING japan to re-arm and build a strong military since the 1960s.
Lmfao, keep telling yourself that you goblino hapa nip
I'm still, and always will be, whiter than you friend.
Maybe there are nips with a mix of black/white/red neck beards, but I doubt there are too many. I'm pretty obviously white.
Lmfao what kind of neckbeard morbidly obese goblino monstrosity are you?
I'm 5'11 and 175lbs, but whatever helps you feel better about yourself.
> manlet + skinnyfat
Lmfao, now I understand why you are a weeb since every time you even look at the direction of a white woman they call the cops on you lol
>says the 5'1 hapa
have a nice day
I'm 5'5" retard, I know I'm a manlet but that is part of why I regret my part-nip heritage
You will never be Yamato, you will always be a moroncel of Korean (=slave) heritage lmao
Koreans made it illegal punishable by death for Japanese to eat meat for over 1500 years and Japan only started eating meat again in the 1800s, this contributed to their genes permanently changing towards midgetism, in fact the word Japan is translated in Japanese and Chinese to "land of the midgets", literally lmfao
very good arguments if there were even a grain of truth to them
Lmfao
The japanese characters for the name of their country translates to "land of the midgets", this was the chinese name for japan and the japanese took it as their official name, lmfao
how's it even relevant to slave morons?
The nips literally worship ancient Korean chads, this particularly dude Susanoo was a manmore Korean that according to Shinto theology came on a boat from the Silla region of Korea, effectively Shinto's version of Apollo + Thor, this is why nips have and always will be the slave race to Altaic Korean masterrace, lmfao
I could imagine a tribe of 4'6" danny devito jomons eating bugs and dead carrion seeing this dolph lundgren looking yayoi on a ship armed with iron weapons and on horseback, japanese really do have a massive inferiority complex being half a foot shorter than Koreans on average
>Susanoo was banished due to his bad behavior, he descended from heaven, accompanied by a son named Isotakeru-no-Mikoto (五十猛命), to a place called 'Soshimori' (曽尸茂梨) in the land of Shiragi (the Korean kingdom of Silla) before going to Izumo. Disliking the place, they crossed the sea in a boat made of clay until they arrived at Torikami Peak (鳥上之峯, Torikami no mine) by the upper waters of the river Hi in Izumo.
He literally came from heaven down to Korea as punishment, hated Korea and decided to move to Japan. Being in Korea for a period of time doesn't make anyone or anything "Korean".
>Talhae of Silla (5 BC [1]–80 AD, r. 57–80) was the fourth king of Silla, one of the Three Kingdoms of Korea. He is commonly called Talhae Isageum, isageum being the royal title in early Silla. Also known by his personal name as Seok Tal-hae (昔脫解). He was a member of the Gyeongju Seok clan, one of the noble clans that shared the Silla throne during the early Common Era.
>He was born in a small kingdom 1000 li一 northeast of Wa (Japan).[2] (The name of the kingdom is Dapana-guk 다파나국 多婆那國二 "Dapana Country" according to Samguk Sagi, or Ryongseong-guk 룡성국 龍城國 "Dragon Castle/City Country," Jeongmyeong-guk 正明國 "Proper and Enlightened Country," Wanha-guk 琓夏國 "(A Kind of) Jade Summer Country," or Hwaha-guk 花厦國 "Flower Mansion Country"[3] according to Samguk Yusa.) His father, King Hamdalpa, was a king of this kingdom; his mother was a queen or princess of another kingdom, called Nyeo-guk 女国 "Woman Country."
>Hogong is chief retainer who served for establishment of Silla. He also discovered Kim Alji who is the founder of Kim clan in Korea. He got involved to three royals who are founder of Silla. He has Japanese origin. Tal-hae also came over by ship. The location of his birth place Dapana Country is estimated as somewhere in the Japanese archipelago.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talhae_of_Silla
Keep in mind that he considers japanese imperial family to be koreans, so please be patient with him
The funny thing about this "muh imperial family is korean" is that one or two instances of political marriages from outside Japan happened at a time where Korea wasn't even a thing. Also, the imperial line of Japan, while unbroken, isn't descended in a straight line. There are multiple times where they have to pick relatives from distant branch houses to be emperors so whatever supposed "Korean" blood in the imperial line is probably no longer even there anymore.
>Well IDK they buy a ton of our MIC produced shit and provide a FUCK ton of R&D kickbacks to our MIC
And how does that make them an ally?
>If that's not a good ally, I'd love to hear what france has done for us in the last 100 years that I should care so much about
Supported us in our geopolitical goals, like an actual ally. Rather than just trying to sell us shit.
...yeah japan TOTALLY hasn't been helping us geopoltically with china and russia in the pacific.
Shut the fuck up retard. If you have a bone to pick, make your argument stop making half assed accusations and just say what you actually want to say instead of pussy footing around.
>...yeah japan TOTALLY hasn't been helping us geopolitically with china and russia in the pacific.
They are starting to now, of course out of pure self interest, but what have they been doing for the last 70 years that has made them our greatest ally?
Your entire point seems to be that they made some decent shit and sold it to us and they've just started to view China as a threat.
...do you think the JMSDF just overnight became able to help the US geopolitically in the pacific?
Come the fuck on, this was DECADES in the making, japan has been a fantastic ally in the region for DECADES.
And you still never told me why I should felate FRANCE of all nations.
>do you think the JMSDF just overnight became able to help the US geopolitically in the pacific?
What sort of help have they provided? What wars have they fought with us?
>Come the fuck on, this was DECADES in the making, japan has been a fantastic ally in the region for DECADES.
How have they been a fanatic ally? What have they done?
>And you still never told me why I should felate FRANCE of all nations.
I have never said France is a good American ally let alone one you should felate, but I've already said why they've been a better ally than Japan.
>They've been building up the most capable ASW force outside of the US since the 1970s/80s, they've been building a large destroyer fleet to provide anti-air and missile defense capabilities that while are focused on japan itself
>Like every NATO nation? What so special?
Wow, you really are dumb
Japan has the most AEGIS equipped ships of any navy besides the US navy.
>Wow, you really are dumb
No, it's just you.
>Japan has the most AEGIS equipped ships of any navy besides the US navy.
So? How does that make them our best ally?
Yes, how does a shared missile defense sensor network and development of the booster rocket for the SM-3 II and IIA a good ally? Clearly those damn nips are just using us.
Kill your self
>Yes, how does a shared missile defense sensor network
Many nations share ballistic sensor networks with us. Your point being?
>and development of the booster rocket for the SM-3 II and IIA a good ally?
How does it differentiate them with any other nation that uses US systems or shares development?
Please explain why they are such a great ally of ours without talking about hardware.
Becaause they help demonstrably more than anyone else, and with higher level shit than anyone else.
As I've already said, you can easily argue the UK is our best ally too and I wouldn't fight you at all. But to claim germany or france or some random other euro nation is a closer ally? Fucking lol.
>Becaause they help demonstrably more than anyone else, and with higher level shit than anyone else.
Where were they in Desert Storm or Vietnam or Korea? How many tanks are they sending to Ukraine? Japan sells stuff, but they are barely an ally of ours.
>they have a constitution that literally forbids them from deploying troops outside of their borders for anything except explicit peacekeeping and humanitarian missions
>WHY WONT THEY SHOOT STUFF WITH US THEN!?!!?!
have a nice day, you know this already but you're pretending to act retarded to try and make an argument.
>They got this constitution, which sucks, so they can't help us with the important shit but they totally would if not
have a nice day weeb.
They’re strong
They are decent strong, I personally feel people overinflate them, clearly weaker than Germany for example. But so is China.
>clearly weaker than Germany for example
uhhh how do you figure that one anon?
Maybe in ground forces, but good luck landing on japan when their navy can easily mog the german navy.
Aww, you didn't even include Japan's Mine countermeasures ships.
Japan's force are extremely neutered which is why they have so many ships, they've got the Russia issue.
How do you figure? It's all american weapon systems for the most part, japan will do their own sensors and computer systems, but they're actually really good at that shit so that's not really a detriment.
Japan also has fantastic record keeping and logistics for maintenance and other things, so everything is in fantastic shape.
I'm sure there are some navy anons on here that can speak to the professionalism and quality of the JMSDF. They're great.
Fucking hell, you read anything? How did you figure the JMSDF has a navy half the size of the US while spending less than 20% on it?
Because Japan doesn't have super carriers, or nuclear reactors on any of their ships, further they don't have to worry about long range logistics since their entire navy operates in their local region, unlike the US which has to support fleet operations across the entire world simultaneously.
There is no way in hell japan could support a true blue water navy at the size of the JMSDF with their current defense spending.
Compare Japan's navy to any developed nation, you don't see anything odd there at all?
What other nation is an island with the economy of japan?
The UK would be the closest comparison, so let's compare.
Seems like a decent comparison, the UK has a focus on air power so they have 2 nuclear carriers and they have nuclear ballistic missiles so their 4 SSBNs. So they have their budget going towards larger mega projects and nuclear reactors with the associated costs, which is how Japan can afford so many destroyers compared to the UK.
Overall though, seems to make sense to me.
> UK focus on air power
> Nuclear submarines with nuclear ballistic missiles and real aircraft carriers
Retard
Yeah, I said the SSBNs and related nuclear reactor development + Aircraft carriers.
Japan doesn't do nukes for political reasons and the US is the eternal ally so they feel they don't need them. As for carriers, japan is obviously changing their attitude their with the F-35B on the Izumo-class, but that's very recent and remains to be seen how far they take that. Whereas the UK is obviously focusing on air power since they're the only western navy besides the US to have more than 1 carrier.
>they have 2 nuclear carriers
>QE CV
>nuclear
You couldn't even read the wikipedia article?
Japan still has more tanks than Germany 328 Leopard 2s with only around 53 being 2A7V standard vs ~120 Type 10s and ~320 Type 90s
It's even more embarrassing for artillery
108 Pzh 2000 vs 117 Type 99 + 7 Type 19
0 towed 155mm vs 480 FH-70s
86 120mm mortar vs 462 Type 96
24 M270 vs 54 M270
0 light or knee mortar vs thousands of 81mm and 60mm knee mortars
Lmfao japanese tanks are smaller than German or Korean ifvs with probably even less armor also, even still they only have a few hundred mini-me tanks
Japan tanks are fast
Only going backwards, they are almost as fast as the K2 in reverse, but no where near the top speed of the K2 of even the Leopard 2 or M1a2sep3 in every other direction
>Type 10 max speed forward/backward: 70km/h
>K2 max speed: 70km/h
>nowhere near
I can compare it with my own nation and note that it is about ten times larger and is still getting new boats unlike us. Since I was born the only new boat we have gotten is patrol boat.
>hand me down from the dutch count
>especially since we co base with the dutch and the dutch have on two occasions simply taken engines from us when our came out of maintenance and their where going into maintenance
but hey we are a better ally to the usa so I guess our navy must be better
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belgian_Navy
Japan doesn't even have ballistic missiles, how do you fight a modern naval war against a peer adversary without ballistic missiles? They only have torpedos, literally somali pirate tier, lmfao
>They only have torpedos
Are we ignoring all of their VLS launched missiles?
You know a missile doesn't HAVE to be a ballistic missile...right?
Also, the only reason the UK and the US have ballistic missiles is in the event of end of the world nuclear war just to make sure whoever nuked us is 100% assured to be nuked in return no matter what. Japan doesn't really need that function since the US already has their back in the event of nuclear war.
>the fleet has 1,400+ Mk.41 VLS cells, giving them the third largest naval firepower on the planet
>neutered
>I personally feel people overinflate them, clearly weaker than Germany for example
Well good to know you're personally a moron.
Japan is an island, which means almost all of their defense budget goes to their navy, and their airforce because if you can keep anyone from landing troops on your island, you don't really need much of an army.
Germany wouldn't have a snowballs chance in hell of landing on a Japanese island.
I'm really not sure I understand you here.
yes, Japan is investing for their own interests, but so are NATO and all our other "allies", none of them are investing in US weapons because they want to be a good ally.
You could maybe make an argument for Japan given they allow such heavy basing of the USN on their island, but I'm sure if the US really needed a port, we'd be allowed to buy one and set it up on the British Isles somewhere.
>yes, Japan is investing for their own interests, but so are NATO and all our other "allies
Our other allies have been much more flexible and willing to go the distance. They been willing to fight for us in wars they'd never go near because we wanted allies. Japan seems very content to tell us to fuck off unless it involves China, which is their issue much more than ours.
>Japan is investing heavily, doing tons of joint training, and a lot of R&D sharing is done between the US and Japan.
Working on systems together doesn't make us allies, just development partners otherwise we'd be allies with Russia and China.
>Considering the level of joint training both nations do, I don't think you can point to any other ally that does as much joint training as the US and Japan.
Training is cool but it doesn't further our goals.
>They been willing to fight for us in wars they'd never go near because we wanted allies
It's not like Japan has this thing called Article 9 in their constitution drafted by the US itself, right?
>What sort of help have they provided?
Being a literal unsinkable aircraft carrier carrying US aircraft within strike distance of China, Russian, and North Korea?
JMSDF and JASDF have long been key players in the containment of Soviet/Russian Pacific Fleet including doomsday submarines. Not only do they operate huge ASW force of thier own to bring pressure to bear on it but they share massive submarine detection infrastructure in the Pacific with the US, the value of which can't be overstated.
Japan even provides some satellite payload space to help the US build a space sensor network
https://spacenews.com/u-s-delivers-first-of-two-space-sensors-to-be-hosted-on-japanese-satellites/
and their satellite constellation itself is also an important asset for the US.
https://www.c4isrnet.com/battlefield-tech/space/2019/12/19/the-air-force-will-need-terminals-that-work-with-more-than-gps/
>The annual defense policy bill, which was passed by both chambers of the legislature this week, calls on the Air Force to develop a prototype receiver capable of utilizing multiple global navigation satellite systems in addition to GPS, such as the European Union’s Galileo and Japan’s QZSS satellites.
>UK have never fought a war against each other
moron have you ever opened a history book?
> the anti-japanese sentiment is ingrained in the US culture
it's just that Japanese culture is probably the most popular foreign culture in the usa
reason why almost no japanese live on the US mainland
about 1.5 million japanese americans is "almost no"
I think he's a retard who doesn't understand that US concerns about being eclipsed by Japan economically in the 90's, which is why Japan rules everything in cyberpunk material from that era, doesn't mean the US viewed them as the great Satan, and is conflating the general issues that cyberpunk material brings up with regards to fear of the future with the US thinking it was Japan's unique doing.
Or he's a retard and/or trolling. Pick whichever answer you like.
No other group of peoples other than blacks and natives have been at the receiving end of US ire than the japanese throughout US history
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-Japanese_sentiment_in_the_United_States
Shit, I didn't realize it was still the 1950s. It's almost like public sentiment changed when they went from being enemy #1 who we were at war with to closest allies during the course of 50 years, or would you like to argue that the French and British fucking hate each other because they had a bunch of wars in ancient history as well?
This is dumb... every group that is "different" gets shit until they assimilate into american culture... only the turds that don't melt into the pot keep getting well deserved scorn...
> about 1.5 million japanese americans is "almost no"
Yes, as I mentioned almost no japanese live on the mainland, over half of all japanese in the US live in hawaii, and they all feel a sense of separatism even more so than puerto rico, so in a country of 340+ million having probably 500,000 japanese on the mainland is a drop in the bucket, keep in mind that of the 500,000 on the mainland about 300,000 live in california, so less than 200,000 japanese live in the mainland outside of california, there are probably more latvians, bulgarians or georgians in the US mainland outside of california
why do you tell obvious disprovable lies?
There are ~310,000 Japanese Americans in Hawaii.
How the fuck is 310,000 OVER HALF of 1.5m?
California 483.5k
Hawaii 330.1k
Over half of japanese in the US lives in California or Hawaii, states like Iowa, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Missouri, etc. have less than 10k japanese in the entire state lmfao, effectively invisible to most of the US
https://asiamattersforamerica.org/japan/data/population
so you move the goal post
now California isn't part of the mainland
I guess that the 40 million people in California about a 1 in ever 10 americans don't matter is that means you can move your goal post just one more time
and yes the potato fly over states are the most important parts of the usa and if they don't live there that must mean that everyone there hates their guts. Just like how there aren't any scandinavian enclaves in the south means that americans just want to nuke the norwegians
99% of white people in the US go their entire lives without ever meeting an ethnic japanese, effectively invisible to white US
>99% of white people in the US go their entire lives without ever meeting an ethnic japanese
what the fuck does this even mean? Do you HONESTLY even believe the bullshit you make up? Lmao anyone that takes you seriously has to be functionally retarded.
When in the past 150 years has the US and the UK fought a war against each other?
The current global world order is literally a US + UK global world order established as a result of ww2 retard
>kept on a tight leash
>public support at the grassroots level
>inner circle allies
I've read these exact words repeated over and over in moronshills thread. Maybe try not to be so obvious next time. At least try to change it up a bit, huh?
Friends will be friends, when you're in need of love they give you care and attention.
Nothing gathers a crowd in japan more than an anti-US rally, how will weebs recover? lmfao
This particular anti-US rally had over 100,000+ japanese, sure our close ally, lmfao
that's about wanting marines to stop raping local girls and leave, not really about anti-US itself.
You can phrase it that way, but I can pretty much guarantee that the vast majority of those protestors still want to be western aligned with the US as a close military ally.
Makes sense. Anyone that can’t read a sign would believe you.
Anyone that can read it would believe him you fucking retard.
PIss yourself
There's google lens anon
In general anything US is detested but the US military is easily at the top of their shit list, but weebs insist they are our closest military ally... lmfao
US closest allies:
Tier 1: UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand
Tier 2: South Korea, Israel, Ireland
Tier 3: Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Sweden
Tier 4: France, Spain, Switzerland, Belgium
Tier 5: Germany, Japan, Italy
Ok kiwi
South Korea is a non-country, it's a proxy state created by Japan and the US in the first place.
US and South Korea conquered Japan in ww2, Japan is allowed to survive at the pleasure of US and South Korea
>US and South Korea conquered Japan in ww2
South Korea didn't exist in WW2
>thread has no posts in an hour
>suddenly the moronshill is back
wow, i for one am again, shocked and demoraalized even further.
Japan is way higher on that list
Wrong, tier 5 were the bad guys in the war that established the current global world order dominated by the anglosphere, they were permitted to survive as nations under strict control to enrich the anglosphere
>belgium over japan
hahhahahahaha
the waffels over japan as a waffle I'm not sure just how you come to think that we do more for the usa than the japanese
we haven't had a proper army since 1914
> nip thinks the US will trust a non-Judeo-Christian nation that they nuked twice over a rich white nations filled with Catholic and Protestant heritage
Lmfao, go kya weeb
>Protestant heritage
the only protestant heritage is the prots we kicked out
you lack of knowledge at anything other than shilling for worst korea is showing yet again
try to move the goal post yet again shill
could be on of those korean that moved to japan when japan left korea or that fled during the korean war. Would explain why it is so hatefull against japan and loves sucking of kimchiland.
>99% of white people in the US go their entire lives without ever meeting an ethnic japanese
so you are saying that 99percent of white people go their entire lives without ever meeting someone of a group of people that make up over half a percent of their country
kimchi I interact with Japanese in belgium, there's like a few thousand of them that live here. fuck it I hear korean on the streets at least once a week.
your delusion is astonishing.
> so you are saying that 99percent of white people go their entire lives without ever meeting someone of a group of people that make up over half a percent of their country
Retard, outside of california or hawaii the percentage is probably .1% and of those 90%+ are mixed, meeting an actual japanese person in the US proper is about as rare as meeting a tibetan or a uighur, just does not happen for normal everyday US people
That's simply not true lmao. Basically any US metro area will have several thousand Japanese Americans, and the larger metro areas will have 10s of thousands.
They're nowhere near as rare as a Tibetan or uighur.
>numbers I pull out of my ass
>1.5 million Japanese
>0.5 million in comifornia and hawaii
>leaves 1 million for the remaining 290 ish million
>0.3%
>3 out of every thousand
>you can't meet more than 333 people or meet a jap
I don't know about you but unless you are a complete shut, meeting less than 333 people in a year much less so your life would ge a real challenge.
>muh small town
The bulk of americas population is urban, normal everyday american people are (sub)urban just one Japanese kid in your high-school and bam you've met one.
Quick Google
Tibetan 2-3k in american census
Ugurs 8-10k in census
Japanese 1.5 million in census
So you aren't off by one, or two but 3 orders of magnitude
Japanese that are not mixed with whites or blacks outside of California or Hawaii, 10k at best probably less
Be honest, if you are in the US have you ever met a japanese person that is a) 100% japanese ethnically and b) a US citizen? Lmfao, there's a reason why japs avoid the US proper like the plague
Lmao goal posts will be in the next solar system if you keep going like this.
Japs in japan don't consider 100% ethnically japanese as true japanese, ironically they actually think koreans are the same race, but even one drop of non-yayoi/yamato/jomon blood is enough to treat as morons, read what naomi osaka has to say about this topic if you need more evidence
Moving the goal post again are you kimchi
https://asiamattersforamerica.org/articles/census-counts-japanese-in-us
In 2010 there where over 350k Japanese born in Japan living in the usa so you are off by at least 35 times
Are the Irish really that reliable? They're whole neutrality thing makes them geopolitically irrelevant to my way of thinking, so I have a hard time gauging their value as an ally.
He's just the south korean shill moron, you can tell since he put SK right below the anglos.
Even sadder is that he shills for south Korea while being a white/jap.
He's a Korean, the Jap part is bullshit.
probably, but i'll let him larp as a white jap if he wants, I don't mind.
The only ethnic group with more influence over the US than the garden gnomes are the irish, literally controls the US (and therefore global) banking system
I'm very familiar with the prevalence of Irish immigrants here, and the commensurate effect on foreign policy, but just because we've got a bunch of spastics with an irrational love of the Emerald Isle doesn't mean the Irish are actually a reliable ally.
>israel isn't the usa's greatest ally
very anti-semitic off you
Israel is very focused on what's in its best interest. Given its origins and the tightening of the relationship thanks to Kissinger saving their ass in '73, that means they generally align with US policy and are thus a far more reliable partner in the Middle East than most, but at the end of the day Israel is going to do what's best for it, whether or not that's good for us.
>thanks to Kissinger saving their ass in '73
That is a meme, Arab performance was incredible bad during the war, the soviets end straight up saying that they would never support the arabs against Israel ever again.
Perhaps an overstatement of reality, but the fact of the matter was the Israelis got caught napping, fought desperately to halt the invasion, succeeded, and then came face to face with the fact that their previous weapon suppliers had turned against them. US weapon shipments made the push back across the Suez possible.
>Tier 1 (will fight immediately with no question)
Five Eyes plus Israel, America will always die for Israel
>Tier 2 (will fight immediately with no question)
Western Yurop NATO, Japan, South Korea
>Tier 3 (will show deep gomcern and will act proportionally)
rest of NATO, Taiwan plus other cunts who have strategic importance to America, Ukraine also belongs here
>Tier 4 (will be left behind since they're of no greater importance)
non-NATO allies and third world shitholes usually associated with America
US closest allies:
>Tier 1: UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand
>Tier 2: South Korea, Israel, Ireland
>Tier 3: Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Sweden
>Tier 4: France, Spain, Switzerland, Belgium
>Tier 5: Germany, Japan, Italy
Actual burger incel neet boomer here.
Tire 1: UK/Anglosphere, Japan, France, Israel
Tire 2: Korea, East Taiwan, Singapore, Western Cold War NATO + Poland + Sweden + Switzerland
Tire 3: Bunch of smallers + NATO and other Alliance wannabes.
Special Tire: Fyv Ice
Japan gets Tier 1 b/c had a National War of Survival and US declined to exterminate or enslave. Japanese responded by making the US the representatives of the Gaijin Round-Eye Savages + Everyone Else by giving them some colony territory in Japan just like before Meiji. Japan just chose the most powerful of the foreign subhuman Shitlords, the one who could beat them on land, sea, air, and with tech and $$$, and said "You are the One True Badass who can be with us" basically. Nobody understands how Japan actually views the US.
US is the only savages that can really speak because US is honorabu nme. US acts as proxy as the Most Powerful Savage for the rest who don't rate.
israel, blech. it's like that friend we don't really like, but our parents do, who keeps hanging around us and keeps poking her nose into our shit. i want to replace it with brazil just because they add flair to our posse.
Lmfao
The US treats japan like a stray castrated dog and at best is tier 5, in reality the largest ethnic group in the US is german so they have that going for them at least and italians are in the top 5 too, in US proper japanese are non-existent
Singapore is slightly above ccp China and they are used as such, don't think the US is that stupid and everything that is "given" to Singapore is intentional for a reason with the full understanding its going to China lol
France is a frenemy in reality, anybody that understands US geopolitical theory understands this and the fact that the US is actual the mantle bearer of the anglosphere with the UK as the mini-me paints this entire relationship
All of this said, the first state visit for the US under this presidency is...France...the next is....South Korea...
The US intentionally wants to bring France and SK closer into the inner circle and the fact that the US is holding nuclear tabletop exercises with SK only as a first in Asia indicates where the US priorities are at now...
Lol, its game of thrones eunuch, US and ROK are figuring things out at the expense of the other lesser asians
A significant portion of this will be invested on US soil gays
as it should be, the US is in a much better strategic location to build sensitive manufacturing infrastructure.
Far away from north Korean or Chinese missiles.
Koreans are proving to be more of the modern day Dutch or British whereas the Japanese are turning into the modern day Greeks or Spanish
Japan's just ahead of the curve. China and South Korean have the same fundamental demographic and economic issues that caused Japan to overheat and slow the fuck down in the 90s. Especially true for China. They're all boned in the end, which is why the Chinese are getting so jumpy. They know they've got a limited amount of time before the stagnate and the West runs away again.
>the other lesser asians
lol. Pot kettle black.
Stop talking about Korea nobody actually cares. Gangnam Style is old
>each post is exactly 1 minute apart
come on moronshill, you always reply to yourself like it's a bunch of people agreeing with you and it's just fucking sad honestly.
Even though america's largest ethnic group is germant/anglos, the US still has one of the largest Japanese diaspora in the world tied with brazil.
Based. Japanese people are awesome. Americans love the Japanese. They have big and successful communities here as well. They integrate naturally, are incredibly respectful, and contribute so much. They are productive as fuck.
So fuck you.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morocco%E2%80%93United_States_relations
Our first and greatest ally.
>The UK and America never fought against each other.
Its chud from /b, he/she is japanese/norwegian
Sure, but they are a notorious moronshill regardless of their actual racial makeup
soul?
JMSDF destroyer feel when your sailing out of Sasebo and your SAM exercises are more qualified than best USN Aegis Raytheon instructors contractors.
And your captain allows you to fish on stern on way back to port. And hit golf balls off helipad
Lmfao picrel mogs everything in its path and even the chinks, who are probably a few decades ahead of the nips at this point, are shitting bricks about it
Who cares if you have the most missiles on 1 boat if your total missiles carried at sea at any given time is easily 1/2 to 1/3rd of what japan has out.
Impressive.
>when your entire nation's commitment to sheer unrelenting autism combined with unmitigated disregard for common sense prompts the planet's sole military superpower to invent entirely new fields of science and categories of destructive weapons technology just so they can avoid the aggravation of dealing with you face-to-face one more time.
Yes, but enough about Germany.
27 of these are being built
Got a source on that one bud?
Why are they fucking doing this? Are they really going to try holding international sealanes with nuke subs? They have domestic battery expertise FFS. This is nuts.
They haven't even confirmed a single nuclear sub, let alone 20+
OK so
is a troll, very elaborate. Consider me trolled.

delete this before the moronshill sees it, he'll have to spend at least a full minute justifying reasons why those don't matter AND why korea is actually doing similar but BETTER things with the US that japan couldn't even DREAM of.
Next he will post an infographic about how Korea uses the most Japanese and German made robots.
Also Japan recently whooped Korea 13-4 in the WBC.
https://www.foxsports.com/stories/mlb/japan-beats-korea-13-4-wbc-live-updates-and-score
Highlights include
>Ohtani wasn't even pitching
>Korea had to use double the pitchers
>Japan's worst ERA was a 6.00
>Lead Korean pitcher had an 18.00 ERA
>Another Korean pitcher had a 54.00 ERA
>The worst pitcher threw against 3 batters and all of them scored giving an Infinite ERA
> baseball a game a few thousand people play professionally globally that is in chronic decay because nobody watches the games
South Korea 42 to japan 16, all time soccer results, a single world cup soccer game will have more fans than all of the world baseball classic combined lmfao
Best world cup results:
South Korea, semifinals, 4th place
Jalab, round of 16, never made even quarterfinals so never placed
Incidentally, although its obvious SK is the best soccer nation in Asia the next best is not japan, its North Korea, they made the quarterfinals at the world cup level, only asians to make semis/quarters in asia are South Korea and North Korea
Brutal moggery lmfao
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japan–South_Korea_football_rivalry
https://www.statista.com/statistics/829536/south-korea-most-popular-sports/
Korea is much more invested in baseball than it is Soccer.
South Korea is the only country to place in top 4 in BOTH soccer (World Cup) and baseball (World Classic)
World Cup: 4th place
World Classic: 2nd place
Ubermensch
Korea's 4th place in 2002 is remembered as one of the worst corruption cases in the history of World Cup.
Lol you have not watched many world cups have you? England refball, Italy picking who progresses and obviously Argentina handball are eidely recognized as among the worst cheats in WC history, if anything SK is considered the fairest due to the scrutiny and seethe that a non-western euro/sudaca could dominate, the recent world cup on fox sports the announcers all kept talking about how great SK was since morocco was on a roll too breaking into the elite club, they were all ex-US and England national team stars and never once mentioned any controversy, only laughed at the butthurt of the countries that lost lmfao
>SK is considered the fairest
Lol
>Francesco Totti was harshly sent off for diving; Damiano Tommasi had a goal wrongly disallowed for offside; Choi Jin-cheul two-footed Gianluca Zambrotta and Kim Tae-young threw an elbow at Alessandro del Piero without consequence
> Gamal Al-Ghandour disallowed two perfectly good goals
Good thing ROK weren't the hosts or anything
The host nations usually do well, the question is since SK and japan were co-host why did SK mog most of the world compared to japan crapping out?
>Host nations have a much easier time cheating
Occam's Razor would imply Japan simply didn't give into temptation and cheat like morons. Just shows integrity more than anything.
Or more accurately they suck
Because Japan doesn't bribe referee unlike SK lmao
The rumor is that when SK was actually beating everybody the japanese tried to bribe officials to keep up and save face or some bullshit
Anybody that meets a typical South Korean and a Japanese can plainly see the massive size disparity, South Koreans are the size of British and bigger than meds but not as large as Nordics or Germans, japanese are the size of a guatemalan or nicaraguan without exaggeration
If you rewatch the italy and spain games both teams were cheating nonstop like fuck and bitched like gays with no end, lost a lot of respect for med soccer for playing like gays and only watch premier league since then
> newspapers in brown people languages
Lol no bias at all
>Japan has been the most successful, as the only nation with multiple WBC titles (2006, 2009), the nation with the most wins in WBC play (23), and as the only nation to reach the championship round in all four WBCs.
>Along with Japan, three other nations have advanced to at least the second round in all four WBCs: Cuba, Puerto Rico, and the United States.
Yikes.
> japan, puerto rico, cuba
What do they have in common?
Nations filled with little brown people
Nobody watches baseball, I tried to watch a game but there were less fans in the stands than a typical local high school girls soccer game in the US
Or we might get him to post various images of Korean soldiers being larger than Japanese soldiers or some random cherry pick statistics about average male height or something dumb like olympic medals or maybe he'll justify korea as being the most technologically advanced asian country because they have more nuclear power generation than japan while ignoring the fact japan isn't operating 80% of their reactors after the 2011 earthquake.
Lol glad you literally have a suicidal complex over Korea, yes you will have a nice day as the news and updates of Korea mogging japan continue to snowball daily escalating to a crescendo culminating in your self immolation lmfao
I promise to escalate the gravity of these post gay lol
>cherry pick statistics about average male height
didn't take long
Over half of the japanese team are ethnics koreans too
You also claim the japanese emprorer is ethnically Korean because his great... great great great great great great great great... great great grandmother was a present from Korea.
All japanese royalty is ethnic korean, most billionaires in japan are ethnic korean, the organized crime is mostly ethnic korean, shinto deities are all jomon worshipping ethnic koreans… see a trend you sub-human nip, yes you have massive inferiority complex because we look down on nips both literally and figuratively lolololol
>inferiority complex
not as bad as china's
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Korean_nationalist_historiography
more delusional korean pseudo-history.
I feel bad if you ACTUALLY believe what you're typing.
moron projection at its finest.
Everybody knows Korea is the Mexico of Japan/China, morons are colonized monkeys and rapebabies seething at the masters that dominated them throughout history, wannabe big boi/great power hungry for recognition, and the massive inferiority complex reached a point of inventing and teaching a whole new national historiography of pseudohistory they unironically believe in today top kek

Lolololol
US had less than 50,000 casualties in the pacific theatre with most of the effort focused on the european theatre
Japan had 3+ million soldiers killed even before the nukes
Lmfao
>US had less than 50,000 casualties in the pacific theatre
uhh what the fuck?
The US had over 300,000 casualties in the pacific theatre.
To be exact the US had 301,237 killed and wounded in action.
92,904 killed, 208,333 wounded.
Sure must've been fun for them while it lasted.
>killed all of america's pilots
Fundamental rule of biology:
It's real easy to kill a lot of something. Only slightly less so to kill most of something.
But it's damn near impossible to kill ALL of something.
And if that something happens to be US Navy, Marine, and Army Air Corps aviators, then you've probably got quite a fucking problem indeed.
>and killed all of Americas first pilots almost before we fielded better aircraft.
Wow it could jump throught time to 1909???
Hey it worked for the Mirai and the battle of midway.
Average South Korean male: 175cm, 80kg
Average Japanese male: 170cm, 65kg
Japanese males are on average smaller than typical teenaged western white females, both shorter and lighter lol
Lmfao its over nip bros
There was a UFC event recently with asian fighters, the South Koreans and Japanese were all good but what stood out is that the South Koreans were all middleweight to heavyweights but the Japanese were not even lightweights, they were flyweights and featherweights, really really small dudes
I’m glad skizo South Korean keeps bumping my thread
Japan vs. South Korea banter on this website is the gift that keeps on giving. Nothing but unleashed prime-tier autism
Ching chong ding dong nippy suki suki
X-2 looks so aesthetic, and cute.
America's best ally is Israel though.
Asian allies are just expendables in conflict against China.
I'd wager that those """"allies"""" will switch sides given the chance.
Imagine hating Japan when they literally saved humanity and Earth from extinction.
Only reason I agree is because Japan was the last nation to use the F-4.
Nips should restore the Bakufu and fully ally with the USA and France
Japanese soldiers lmfao
yeah, that's totally average moronlings for sure lmfao
That's a conscript, every korean male has to undergo 1 to 3 years of military training which is alpha, this guys comparable in japan is 6 inches shorter and 20 pounds lighter that has barely seen the light of day and would not know where the trigger is from the barrel of a rifle, not to mention guaranteed this conscript would curbstomp you inside of a minute in actual combat gay lmfao
South Korean soldiers
South Korean soldier with British soldier in Ukraine
South Korean marines
lmfao
Every korean male has military training compared to most japanese males live like picrel lmfao
South Korean conscripts after a year of training
>meanwhile outside of dedicated photography platoons
pfff are you even trying gooshill?
Do you realize the positive impact that mandatory conscription has on a society? Try identifying as a trans or a gay like you in a military culture rife with massive physical bullying culture lmfao
Lmfao
Now you've exposed yourself as having no military experience, everybody that has served in the military goes in wanting to go from a boy to a man and the picrel is what happens irl after actual military service particularly in a combat arms role
You think those drill sergeants are laughing when they see skinny soft kids at basic? Wrong, they know they will turn into grade A US killing machines after enough training gay
Typical South Korean marines, average height 183cm average weight 90kg
More typical South Korean marines
South Korean soldiers on deployment in a southeast asian nation
Standard South Korean troops getting ready for pt
Korean chad looks + muscle bods on every South Korean troop after at least a year of military training
Nip soldiers lmfao
Jap soldiers, why do the bdu's look 5 sizes too big on every jap soldier lmfao
In japan 99% of japanese males are not fit for militiary service and the 1% that are consider the military a worse career path than picking up garbage or cleaning toilets so the government has had to resort to deploying japanese females to front line combat roles lmfao
South Korean marines and US marines, ROK marines are as big as and often bigger than US marines
