Same but I'm a manlet with long arms. I need the stock fully extended.

I shoot it like that because I thik the gun looks better that way

It moves the weight closer to your body and reduces the lever arm so it's both easier to hold up and point. Where you set it is a combination of neck length, cheekbone height, muscle on your chest/shoulder, forearm bone length, and humerus length.
I too like it most of the way in. I have between average/long neck, higher cheekbones, above average meat in the chest, and my forearms are the same length as my upper arm. I find that I need a cheek riser due to neck and face bones or do a chin weld

fully collapsed makes sense if you have a very vertical "pistol" grip

A2 grips you need to extend

      Anonymous

I tried a vertical pistol grip and it changed my life.

It's so much better than the A2. Still love me A2, though.

A2 definitely wins in the aesthetics department.
My personal preference in terms of actual use is the B5 grip.

i fully collapse and pull 1 out. Pretty comfy, makes for an overall shorter package, moves the center of mass rearward, and works well for optics with a short eye relief.

If you always shoot with the stock collapsed, why even have a Gucci collapsible stock? Put a beefy solid stock on there so you can hit people with it.

      >why even have a Gucci collapsible stock?
There isn't anything gucci about having a standard stock
      >Put a beefy solid stock on there so you can hit people with it.
Instead of wasting your money on a dinky plastic stock like a fucking retard, just buy more bullets. Then you don't have to hit people with your fucking rifle.

Why are poorfags always this stupid.

        >>the enemy will never close to hand to hand distance like that have countless times in the past. Just buy more boolats
Stupid argument. At least tell them to buy a bayonet to actually address their valid issues, but stupid solution

          Anonymous

No, literally just shoot them. Bullets work better than bayonets or buttstocks. Always have, always will. If you can stab them, you'd be way better off shooting them.

Not sure how you can even be this stupid.

No, I'm right and you just don't like it, because an internet argument means a lot to you.

If the enemy is literally right in front of your muzzle to where you could bayonet them, it is infinitely more practical to shoot them. Your AR-15 is not a muzzleloader, the bayonet is nothing but a decoration that serves no practical purpose.

                Except he's right, retard.
It's infinitely easier to shoot someone within bayonet range than to actually bayonet them, you stupid fuck.

                >shoot all ammo in gun
                >suddenly enemy in your face
                >need to reload
                >can't hit them because shitty plastic stock
                >can't stab them because no bayonet
                >fumble for pistol or knife
                >BANG
                >die without even clearing leather
Congrats on being dead because you didn't want a blade on your gun
                >inb4 "but that's so unlikely to happen"
You're on PrepHole, and we're talking about us actually being in combat. If we're going to prep for the unlikely scenarios we may as well cover all of our bases here. It's why fags here buy NVGs, on the offchance that they'll actually be operating on a moonless night or in a tunnel where such a thing actually matters.

One guarantees you die, the other gives you a chance.
Come on now anon, don't be so dense. A weapon you have is better than a weapon you don't.

No anon, if you have a pointy stick and the other guy has a gun, you fucking die.

So the enemy and you run out of ammo at the same time, and he runs up to you somehow in a way that you're not able to draw your sidearm?
You know a rifle is like 7 pounds, you can beat the fuck out of someone with one, even without a stock.
I think you're just trying really hard to justify the fact that you like bayonets.
That's ok man, bayonets are sick. Everyone thinks they're cool. But it doesn't make sense to have one in a modern combat situation

What if he's bigger than you and has the intent to rape you rather than just kill you on the spot?
What if you actually don't have time to draw your sidearm in this situation?
I'm just saying it's smart to cover all of your bases. Besides, pointy stick has been man's go-to weapon since before Homo sapiens even evolved, our hominid ancestors used it to great effect for over 2 million years, and we continued using them. What is a bayonet but turning your gun into another spear?
Given how lightweight and out of the way it is, you really don't have a reason not to, and it could just save your life if it comes down to the wire. You need a knife anyways, don't you?

                >One guarantees you die, the other gives you a chance.
No anon, if you have a pointy stick and the other guy has a gun, you fucking die.

Weapon is always better than no weapon. Give me an alternative then. How would you survive if the enemy is right in front of you (like just a few feet away from you), your mag is dry, and for some reason or another you can't use your sidearm? Don't just say "I'd use my sidearm", lets assume it's out of ammo, is broken, or you weren't issued one because you're a grunt. What do you do?
Bonus question: we're dealing with a Russoid who has the intent to rape you to death if he can just wrench that rifle out of your hands before you can reload it.

                >Weapon is always better than no weapon.
Yeah, that's why I have guns.
                >b-but what if
Ok, my buddy domes the slavshit as I reload. The real problem with your scenario is solo magdumping into a numerically superior force while all alone. This means you die. If you are all alone out of ammo and having your position overrun, you are indeed fucking dead, and your pointy stick won't save your ass. You're fucked.

While you were studying the blade, I was learning to count the rounds in my magazine.
While you jacked off over articles written about Bongs fixing bayonets, I made friends and went to Afghanistan with them.
While you polished your katana, I had sex in the missionary position for the purpose of procreation.

                >being prepared is retardation
Two steps away from saying that "nobody NEEDS a gun" here. Why is the idea of having this failsafe invoke such a hate boner in you?

                Anonymous

Why not have blades attached to the stock and grip of your rifle, in case your bayonet fails?
Don't tell me that's unlikely, next thing you'll tell me is that you don't need a gun because it's unlikely you'll use it.
Not attaching 4 knives to your rifle is only 3 steps removed from saying you don't even need a gun
