It's true. The bradley was only protected up to 7.62x51mm caliber bullets along its sides and rear at first (so, the 90s). It has since been unarmoured to protect against 20mm. 30mm APDS rounds will still zip through.

stop being fricking moronic. bradleys have 14.5mm protection frontally and we're talking about waco, where the enemy was encircled and hunkered down in a compound. keeping the front of a bradley pointed at the houses you're receiving fire from is literally a perfect solution in that instance. stop trying to conflate the bradley with some moronic bmds which have paper for armor.

Wrong. M113 was protected like that, Bradley had 14.5mm protection all around from the get-go, with M2A2 upgrade in the late 80s increasing frontal protection to resisting 30mm and adding ERA mounting points.

No, the Bradley has protection from 14.5 from all angles. M903 has something like 34mm of penetration on hardened steel and the Bradley is advertised at 25mm aluminum with a pair of spaced 6mm hardened steel plates

Spice Haulers are only armored up to 14.5mm HMGs. It's enough for their purposes, since the Fremen just need to stall the spice workers long enough for Shai-Hulud to come and destroy them.

Really not a big deal, since you can just use a Carry-All to pick up the Haulers and suppress them with Lasguns since they cannot use shields since they drive the worms crazy.

Lately, I will admit they have become more sophisticated. These new "Fedayakin" run into battle screaming the name of their warrior prophet, this "Muad'Dib" on their lips, making battle drums from the skins of the dead. But I wouldn't worry about it. They are a savage and disorganized people. The Beast Raban will find this Maud'Dib in no time and have it sorted out. Worst case, if spice flow is disrupted, the Saudukar will come, and bone can stand against them.

I mean it mostly proved that they are weakling homosexuals who can be defeated by hippies with hunting rifles.

No shit. The Waco homosexuals were libtards who were not prepared at all. They weren't even a cult, and were pro-brownoid. They even let the glow Black folk go when they ran out of ammunition during theri failed assault and ran away like little b***hes.

One reason they haven't tried this shit again is that they know next time they will receive no mercy and with everybody now possessing semi-automatic rifles, thousands of rounds of ammo, and zero concern for human life let alone worthless glownogs they will be slaughtered.

One thing I will disagree with the standard /k/ line is this. I doubt the embarassment and impotent anger of the meatheads had anything to do with what happened, rather it was just a convenient scapegoat for the real salient interests. I'm absolutely sure the government shit its pants at the idea that you could resist arrest and get away with it on such a scale. They were terrified that unless they killed them they'd suffer a real loss of authority. Of course as they haven't tried since they did anyway.

I wish most Americans were that based and freedom-loving, but the actual reason is that the optics of such tragedies is toxic for political leadership and nobody wants to deal with attack ads about the legal butchery you enabled. Much easier to just bury the people you don't like under an army of lawyers and the cost of dealing with a corrupt legal system that only works for you if you're rich (picrel)

They did try that shit again with the Bundy Ranch Standoff in Nevada a few years back. Waco having happened before is why it resulted in militias from multiple states riding out to join the Bundy family in the standoff. There were more armed morons in a much better prepared position than anyone was willing to take on so the alphabets withdrew.

cope bootlicker, if you really loved freedom you'd understand the greatest threat American democracy faces domestically is our own government's blatant disregard for the Constitution, human rights, and the lives of innocent American citizens.
            You now remember:
            >US Marshalls executing a man at his home without letting him surrender on POTUS's orders (Reinoehl slaying)
            >US Secret Service deleting their entire message archive after the failed 1/6 coup

            >FBI abducting people in unmarked vans off the street in Portland
            >mass NSA surveillance programs, MKULTRA, Operation Sea-Spray, Operation Northwoods
Nobody hates Americans more than our own government. All the contempt the third world, Euros, and /misc/ have for America is nothing compared to the hate our own government has for the people whose labor funds their repeated encroachments on life and liberty.

Instead, I will encourage all Americans to arm themselves to protect life, liberty, and property from all threats foreign and domestic, especially the domestic terrorists with badges and an unquenchable desire to steal from the hard working (asset forfeiture is literally legalized highway robbery), rape civilians in custody and murder the family dog.

Real patriotism is recognizing when something can be improved and trying to do something about, not burying your head in the sand because the status quo is comfortable for you.
You're fooling nobody, people know the score and have an innate sense of fairness. When Americans watch the rich and powerful get away with crimes while the poor have their lives destroyed by a pay-for-play justice system, in addition to the fair perception of law enforcement's corruption and incompetence, we have a real crisis of legitimacy on our hands. This loss of institutional trust will directly translate to domestic instability and violence in the future, and refusing to acknowledge uncomfortable facts about the current political zeitgeist might be glowie SOP but here in the real world, we can talk to actual Americans and see how they feel about the people who govern them, and on both sides of the aisle, the general sentiment is alternating frustration, disgust and contempt. That is bad, and we should be advocating for policy changes that address the issues driving this sentiment.

nope, add more sanctions. Personally, I think we should stop pussyfooting around and send as many airframes, tanks, and long-range munitions as Ukraine needs to turn St. Pidorsburg and Moscow into smoking craters, then force babushkas to salt the earth on their way to Siberia.
Anyway enjoy shilling for people who'd shoot you and your family down without a second thought, I'm sure they'll return the favor someday.

if its a modern military vehicle it should already be armored against most machine gun cartridges.
anti-material rifles are very specialized beasts that are able to be hacked into sniper rifles, destroy cars and pierce through concrete covers. what im trying to say is there is no fricking way you gonna go with an antimateriel rifle such as the barret you shown up against an armored vehicle, thats what anti-tank weapons are useful for. the anti-material rifle is chosen when your target is behind materials, more or less resembling the use of cannons during medieval sieges where when the enemy hides away from you, just blast a hole in it and proceed though in this case you will be shooting them through this hole.
