    Gas powered hedge trimmers

I have a gas chainsaw and weed wacker, electric pole saw and trimmer. I'd like to use those tools if I can but I'd buy a gas trimmer if you think it would save me a couple hours.

Use the electric trimmer if there is any long grass mixed in with the brambles, stuff has a habit of wrapping around the brush cutter head of the weed wacker and seizing it up

I don’t want to. And what else do you suggest? You can't diy decent cheeks on your own with semi resonable clapping (they do help if they are right kind, aren't fricking banned for pseudo justified reasons and dosed in right amounts) and anal seems like a small task so you can pretend that someone cares about your ass, but doesn't answer my internal issues

Don't use the chainsaw on brush - it will dechain it. Wire on weed whacker will get torn to shreds, but good for keeping the clearing cleared after removing the brush. I had to clear an acre of bramble and the gas powered hedge trimmers worked well - can cut through about 3/4" thick brush. Anything too thick leftover you can then use chainsaw on.

A good ways away from the house in the middle of the woods, makes a nice place to pray.
Anyways the undergrowth was starting to take over in this picture, but since then I build a lean-to under which I store a push-mower to keep vegetation under control. Using the wire trimmer alone was too time consuming. I've tried to leave ferns wherever I can. Also found several trillium patches.

you will not get every last root and it will come back, forever and ever.
that being said it's probably easier to stay on top of once the job is done.

could you do a controlled burn?

It was just a spitball number of how big the plants are. They are over 6' tall and probably about 50' wide. Once chopped up it will fit into a few trailer loads. We won't be able to burn here for probably another month it's fire season.

Ah, fair. Mow and spray them

Use clippers to take them down close to the base as you can and leave for a week or two. Come back and dig up as much of the root as you can. You'll still get some sprouting but if you keep on top of it and pull whenever you see them you'll get it done eventually.
Spraying is the quick and easy way but I won't grow any veg there for a year or two until I was sure that shit was long long gone.

Ok, here's the problem. The best way and the fastest way are completely different.
    >best way
cut the plants until they're little more than stubs sticking out of the ground
dig up as much as possible
    pour bleach into the holes
repeat once a month until they stop growing back
    >fast way
    napalm
    salt the land
repeat once a month until they stop growing back

Diesel works well on many plants especially mixed with detergent as a surfactant, and being lighter than water isn't a serious pollution issue (tho illegal in some places). Diesel mixed with vegetation killer is an old military method.

Since other methods don't kill as effectively I just run diesel in my sprayers but I want total vegetation kills in firebreaks.

If you had the land to spare you'd leave it. Wanting to remove it stinks of pinching pennies.

Their fine if they are properly managed but pretty much useless if left to run wild. No one is wading into a mess of fricking brambles to get a few berries unless they want to look like an emo cutter.

Use a sheet of plywood and lay it down into it. Very good n easy way to pick the sections of bushes that deer haven’t cleaned out

I’ve got this task at hand also. I’m planning to cut to the base and pull out the roots as the soil will be wet enough to allow easy enough pulling. I’ll continue this for a few weeks and hopefully that’ll get them all

I've found just using something to drive through it all and smash it works pretty well. You just have to pick everything up afterwords.

Legit make some polystyrene napalm in a metal bucket and use a ladle to chuck it over the Bush.

Dampn the grass around it so the fire doesn't spread.

Light it by throwing a torch onto the fire from as far as you can. Remember that the solvent vapours will travel. Google people lighting bonfires with gas.

After its burnt down to cold ashes till the ground with a rotovator or a similar tilling device. Ideally you would be tilling to the same depth as a subsoiler.
