Nonsense. Weather like that is great. It's 1 degree above freezing with rain, mud and high humidity that should be outlawed.

Notice how the snow clumps up. Its above melting in that image and the way the snow sticks to the tree trunks says that its windy.

It was likely windy and below zero a few nights ago, but now it's sunny and thawing. It's still comfortable outside, but a few more days and you get misery conditions.

This. -5 to -10 with snow is alright. 0-5 with rain is hell

Doing gardening in weather like that (during task where I was mostly stationary) are only times I've felt "cold to the bones" as you hear people say.

I've worked outside in all the conditions mentioned. The worst is constant rain a few degrees above freezing with wind of any kind. No matter what gear you have it's impossible to stay dry and warm.

There's a laser attached to the rifle. When you fire blanks, it sends a beam and when that beam hits the sensors (those things in helmet and vest in the pic) on somebody, it registers a hit and the guy "dies".

            thanks, that's what I assumed
            so basically laser tag

              Anonymous

Basically yeah. They also simulate things like minefields and artillery and whatnot. It's got plenty of limitations tho, like how people would not spend any time in making good cover, just thor some plants like heathers around their foxhole, because that would enough to stop the laser beam. Or run at the enemy with a big bush on hand.

It's probably more useful for AAR's so your trainers can go "this is the exact timestamp you moved into this groups killzone and got mowed down, you also failed to notice the dude in the open to your right"

What do you do when you have to take a field shit in sub-arctic conditions? If you have diarrhea does it freeze to your asscheeks?

The shit freezes inside your ass so you just grab hold of it and yank it out as a complete package, no wiping neccessary

Well, usually when you have the squirts it takes a minute sitting there to get it all out. And invariably the semi-liquid acid juice spackles itself outside your body on your cornhole.

I'd recommend something beefier for stomping through the woods. I have danner powderhorns with 1000g thinsulate and they are amazing. I take them out ice fishing in -20°F weather all the time and my toes stay cozy
