it looks really fricking good but the recoil pad is just so hard

would you get the decelerator or the limbsaver? i dont even know if limbsaver has a slip over option

There might be a prefitted option.
        https://limbsaver.com/products/airtech-precision-fit-recoil-pad
Check their tables, you might be able to take off your current one and drop on a new one that is better.
My 300WM has browning's inflex recoil pad, and it's pretty good.

Learn to handload and load lighter charges.
Then again if you were smart enough to handload you wouldn't have bought a 300winmeme.

And give up velocity and ballistics? Great idea, moron.

That's what happens when you buy a rifle based on /k/ memes and get a "manly" caliber in an "aesthetic" rifle. If you wanted something you could actually shoot, you'd get a brake installed and have a functional recoil pad. Any rifle past .30-06 feels like shit unless it's incredibly heavy or you start using modern methods of mitigating recoil.

.300 Win Mag makes more sense handloading than off the shelf. You can load well beyond factory specs and actually use high-bc bullets (200+ gr, at least to the point that you start having to worry about twist rate).

Everyone I know with a 300winmeme is a shitty shot fudd that thinks they need a cannon to kill whitetail at 100yds. They all have a terrible flinch because none of them can make a clean hot despite hunting for years.

Get a recoil pad, sure. But unless you're routinely shooting 600+yds you're way over gunned.

.300 WM is the most used rifle caliber in Alaska and makes perfect sense if you aren't a recoilet troony.

I have nothing against 300 Win Mag, I'm just saying that there is absolutely no point in torturing your shoulder just because you want the gun to have a cleaner silhouette. For most people it negatively impacts their ability to shoot if they're anticipating a bruise afterwards. You can get a nice, flush brake and a leather recoil pad and shoot a powerful round while still being cozy.

Alaskans are mostly idiot drunk natives that can't shoot.

I have a 300wby for long range elk/mulies, winmag is a babby caliber by comparison. But most people have no idea what they're doing and would be just fine with a 308.

He bought a Sako. 99% chance he went with the unthreaded wooden stock variant because some Euro shitposter told him it was superior.

        Anonymous

Not necessarily, a Euro would have told him to suppress it, in most Euro countries silencers aren't regulated much because it's impolite to hunt without one.

From what I gather, the "traditional" Eurofudd hunters hate the ones using polymer stocks and suppressors and scoff at any gun that isn't several thousand dollars for reasons that aren't discernible to rational people. Could definitely go both ways though.

What fricking country are you thinking of? Here you have to make a separate order if you want an unthreaded one.

Probably one of those cases where the vocal minority occupies more space in the online debate than they really represent in reality - I've been to Europe a number of times, hunted in a few countries with different friends to get a tiny bit of a feel of different hunting cultures, there's certainly a fuddish element but yeah it's kinda hilarious that the ATF gets their breasts in such a flutter over a can when even the fricking Bongs can and do buy them readily and without fuss, and a couple countries are verging on anti anti-suppressor lol.

Listen here mongrel; a Euro would have told him to get it in an Aryan caliber like 7x64 or 9.3x62, not .300 walshart.

          >aryan caliber
In the sense that they are WW1/WW2 loser calibers, sure. Though could you even find an off-the-shelf gun in the US chambered for those if you wanted to?

Here's my .300 PRC Howa 1500 budget build. The rifle was $500. Optics and all it probably ran me $1300. The cool thing is that I can shoot at something more than 100 yards away without dislocating my rotator cuff. I timed the muzzle brake myself. Factory ammo is 3/4 MOA at 200 yards, trying to do a little better with handloading now.

I honestly believe most of /k/ doesn't know how to shoulder a rifle. PULL the rifle into your shoulder you fricks, if you don't that's where the bruises start because it has more room to travel into you, and doesn't spread its recoil across your body as well.

this x100, so many chodes who just loosely hold the gun and it slams them back and leaves bruises on their soft fleshy carapace

Your moobs probably reduce felt recoil.
