>I don't like when manufacturers include more than one magazine with the pistol.

>I don't like when manufacturers include more than one magazine with the pistol. If I wanted more than one magazine, which is all you need to make the gun function, I'd go buy them. I would rather the manufacturer reduce the cost by whatever thirty to eighty dollars it cost them to include those extra mags. Now I have a bunch of spare mags I'll never use that are just going to collect dust or be sold at a loss.
Is he right? Or has he lost his mind? Should pistols include extra magazines from the factory?

I agree tbh, I usually have a frickload of magazines already so increasing the cost of the gun by adding unnecessary shit is just bullshit

Manufacturer here. Making that magazine that sell 30-50$ costs maybe 5$, other 5$ are profit, 10$ for paperwork and to get it to the retail shop and the rest is distributor markup. When bundled together as an extra with a gun it really adds maybe 5$ to 10$ to the price.

    You ain't getting 30$ or 40$ off

I doubt a mecgar blued steel magazine costs 5$ to manufacture

Go visit some large factories and you will be surprised about the production costs of things you consider expensive.

Some items that we make and sell in Canada and US for 40$ cost us literally 3$ to manufacture.
Other small items that sell for 1$ to 2$ cost us less than 0.1$ to make.

If you are so price sensitive and dislike the extra mag than just sell it.
You are going to get more than you would get from the discount.

What kind of a frickin psychopath doesn't want two magazines when you buy a gun? What kind of absolute fricking mongoloid only wants one magazine? What happens if that magazine breaks? What if you trip on the sidewalk and manage to accidentally throw your single Luger magazine under a steamroller? (Yes this has happened to me). What kind of blithering moron shoots off the magazine at the range, and then sits there like an butthole for the next 5 minutes reloading it? Christ. You're going to get israelite'd on the price regardless if you're buying new, or buying from a boomer. Just give us two magazines, that's all I ask. Frick.

when's the last time you've had a magazine break?

        >when's the last time you've had a magazine break?
The time I tripped and lost my Luger mag to a steamroller. Yeah promag stucks but that's a given, and I don't own any. It's not the magazine breaking, it's the chance of you losing it through some calamity.

      >What kind of a frickin psychopath doesn't want two magazines when you buy a gun?
That depends. Are they good magazines or are they shit? Does it add appreciably to the cost of the gun or am I getting the mags for a reasonable price?
If they're nice mags for a fair price you bet I want more than one. If they're shit quality or cuckstate complaint low capacity POses then no thanks.

You need at least one extra mag to practice mag changes with, and the more loaded mags you can bring with you, the longer you can shoot before you have to start wasting range time jamming mags.
Additionally, magazines are consumable wear items and politicians are constantly threatening to ban the sale of standard-capacity magazines, so having more is just better.
The only case where you wouldn't want extra mags to come with the gun is if the factory mags are inferior in some way, like how Beretta ships their 92s with 15- or 17-round magazines even though everyone uses 18rd Mec-Gars.

Any thread that is started with a quote or a screencap of a different post should result in a ban. This shit is taking over the internet, and low quality posts that do nothing but fish for outrage responses just serve to lower the overall quality of a board or site. For example, this same thread could have been started with a simple
    >How many magazines do you think a handgun should come with from the factory?
It's a fair question and would generate some discussion, but you added some controversial quote from some random guy for no reason. As a result, many posts, including this one, are not talking about the magazines. But to bring this back on topic, I think every handgun should come with at least two magazines, and I like that online gun shopping has made it popular for vendors to add on additional magazine deals to a sale for the people who want more.

    >sends mag with pinky grip
    >sends mag with flat plate
Your just forcing me to buy a pinky plate which usually comes in packs of more than one so I'm forced to buy another mag to use up the spare pinky plate.
But now I have two spare flat plates.

Just do a base version with one mag and a package deal with extra mags.
Increase price for the extra mag version by more than the manufacture cost for a mag but less than retail price for one alone.
