quality might not go up, but cost to manufacture and likelihood of IP theft especially would be lower. How do companies justify keeping production in china when something like half a trillion is stolen from US businesses that send manufacturing there per year?
They won a bunch of other contracts for DMR optics with one of their other trash offerings. Imagine handing in your S&B or Nightforce and getting a fricking Sig cope scope to replace it.
SIG actually makes a few optics in house. Certain Tango 6Ts, some lasers, and the zeroes. The Romeo 8 and certain Romeo 4 models are "made in USA", but not by SIG.
The majority of mid market optics brands (like SIG, CT, PA, Brownells, Vortex, what have you) are going to be OEMed by places like Asia Optical, Huanic, Tokyo Scope, Kamakura, Light Optical Works, ETC. Just becuase they're OEMed from the same places, that doesn't mean they are they same. Most are designed to spec and just made by the OEM. It's not like Nvidia, Apple, AMD or Intel chips are the same even through they all are made by TSMC.
That site isn't 100% accurate from what I understand. SIG also has other japanese OEMs, like Tokyo Scopes for some red dots and Kamakura for binos.
Honestly, I've seen some shitty SIG optics (like their buckmasters crap), but the Romeo 4T I have is actually really good. A buddy has an 8T and it's just as good, although it's heavy as frick and I don't see the point of it.
they "assemble" their optics at the factory. Not make. I know most siggers are new to guns but that's the difference between "assembled" and "made in the USA". The latter has a legal requirement.
there is such a bizzare attitude towards 'made in america'
why do you want your optics to be assembled by moron zoomers and beaners in some shitty startup factory in a texas warehouse instead of in the same billion dollar international facility that makes iphone cameras in china??
ZOMG GUISE IT IS SQUARE AND TAN
Queer and brown like it's target audience.
>assembled in USA ~~*from global components*~~
>its not even stamped straight
>its not even [...] straight
"Just like its target audience"
>assembled in usa
god bless china
How many months until the safety recall for causing retinal cancer?
are they sure that isint assembled in USA, CHINA by any chance
It is made in china, yes.
>SIG optics
not even once
>Made in india

I don’t like sig sewer but the Tango 6T is made in the same Japanese factory as nightforce

They make their optics in Portland oregon.

You'd be surprised but you can literally buy chink shit, assemble it, then claim you made it in the USA.
Least all the companies do it here.
I'd prefer the optics be made in China to Portland actually.

>i want to choose
>the very best
>like no optic ever was
SIG optics are just Holosuns with israeli pricing
