I have literally never once had a problem with my brass corroding even after years and 5+ handloads, yet like the idiot I am I decided to try some nickel-plated brass. Yeah, it looks cool, it's a novelty, whatever. But on God what a disaster. This shit is such a fricking pain in the ass to reload. The plating adds several thousands of thickness which throws off not only the outside, but the inside diameter of the neck. So now I'm trying to squeeze a bullet into a hole way too small and the shit buckets instantly.
Of course I can fix this by doing an extra large flare and chamfering the case but I hate overworking my brass. God what a mistake. If you're reading this thinking about getting some nickel-plated brass and you handload, BEWARE!!!
Yeah it splits a lot faster too.
>reload
>nickel plated
Only once. Resizing some put a burr into my depriming/Resizing die that forced me to take a file to smooth it out.
I like nickel plated cartridges. Let's me run my gun really dirty with no problems.
Gotta match it with chrome plated shit and NP3 coated shit. So little resistance with moving parts it feels like sex
A normal sized penis experiences friction during sex. It's what makes tingle and then shoot inside the lady
to be fair her bagina might be huge :DDDD
Universal expander die.
Crimp in a separate step, stop being fricking dumb.
I already told you. I don't like to overwork my brass. My regular unplated brass doesn't even need expansion, flaring or chamfering. I'd rather save a few steps.
Then why post, just to show off your duracells?
Just to warn anons. That's all.
i don't even reload, but i still collect my brass. reloading israelites can't have it. burn, reloading israelite, burn
>Take all your brass home
>Throw it in the garbage
I reload 280AI nickel plated and haven't had this issue ever. Maybe check your expander and make sure it's still the proper size.
Seems to me like the case neck is too tight for the bullet.
>on God what a disaster
frfr this ain't slappin
i reload nickel plated brass all the time with no problems and it's the most aesthetic of brass. stay mad zoomer
oh noes! how will you ever recover from that loss
Never once have I had a problem reloading nickel plated brass. Treated it the same as my brass
