What? We just had a pile of bullpup threads in the last few weeks that featured that thing amongst the others typical offerings. Not like there are that many good ones, it's always the same list: X95, Aug, MDRX, RDB, Hellion, maybe one other one I'm forgetting. Calm your lactating breasts you gay.

oh wow another bullpup blackgun. We haven't seen many of those. They are so distinctive.

Their market niches are so important and non-synthetic.

Everyone needs ejection blast in their ears and powder burns in the crook of their arm.

Having a longer barrel in front of you is so useless at all times.

If my barrel is not 3" shorter I can't negotiate a hallway.

Marines of Guadalcanal only fought in the open with no trees around, enormous muskets like tank barrels are uselss in the jungle.

Yes, it's a revolutionary, unique, must-have design, completely different in significant ways from everything else that looks like that.

I must have that one. The other one was no good and this one is totally different and better.

I fricking hate bicurious charging handles. I don't trust that they would cooperate under stress. Imagine dying because you needed to clear a malfunction and your little springy donger charging handle kept slipping through your fingers because you had to turn your hand in a goofy way to extract it out from under the moronic carry handle.

Like, literally just put a fixed charging handle. Is it that hard?

I was genuinely excited to buy one of these until I actually held and finger fricked one at a gun store. I instantly hated it. The controls are absolutely moronic, and for a gun that looks like it's almost entirely plastic the thing weights twice as much as it should. On top of that, the trigger is ass.

My aug is better in every way.

      Anonymous

Every time we get more at my LGS, they always sell fast while the ARs gather dust. Not sure how it's doing across the rest of the market, but it seems to be successful. I shot one back to back with an AUG and just plain liked the Hellion more. It's a quirky, but very neat gun.

      >My aug is better in every way.
I feel exactly the same way about my MDRx but I rented an Aug at my indoor range. I guess people are just naturally biased to stuff they own versus the competition.

        Anonymous

        >I feel exactly the same way about my MDRx but I rented an Aug at my indoor range.
I love my MDRX too but I think the Aug is fine with an upgraded trigger, and it's definitely much lighter. I have my gun in 308 and the MDRX weight is perfectly reasonable for 30cal, but it's definitely heavier then it needs to be for 223/556. There's a penalty to pay for its modularity. I'd be very interested if DT, along with a further refined 3rd gen MDRX, also did a dedicated small caliber one. Particularly for the Micron have something specifically designed around 300bo subs could be great. Still MDRX is a vastly superior suppressor host which is also important to me though not to many others.

This is all assuming you get a good gun too. If you do it's fricking awesome. But they've had real QC issues over the years and a truly horrendous online ordering and support system. They did a big mea culpa apology video not too long ago so hopefully that marks them starting to get their shit together but I can't blame a lot of folks for feeling more than a touch cautious.

          >This is all assuming you get a good gun too. If you do it's fricking awesome. But they've had real QC issues over the years and a truly horrendous online ordering and support system.

I have ran 800rounds through mine. Only one bad failure, and it could have been on my part. Hard to tell with the bolt out of view. Yeah, they should create a dedicated 5.56 (3.0) version of the MDRx, trying to go high tech is probably what gave them a lot of manufacturing problems.

            Anonymous

            >I have ran 800rounds through mine
You're fine then. But they had for example a charging handle that was subpar and would simply snap off, as well as multiple instances of overtorqued screws. The former wasn't entirely their fault, manufacturer gave them substandard metal and that's super hard to catch, but their shitty internal tracking system meant they couldn't be proactive about dealing with it. And the latter is just shoddy. These were all short run things but they just haven't done a great job of keeping up with their growth, lots of innovative younger companies have that phase but it's not an excuse, they really need to get through it or they're in trouble. They've acknowledged a bunch of it as I said which is healthy and a good sign, but some of the shit they get is deserved.

Their products are innovative and enjoyable enough though that to me personally it's well worth it. And I'm absolutely biased towards wanting them to succeed, and there is awesome shit they could do next. But I can't in honesty just recommend them to anyone either and it's primarily due to QC and support. So I hope they get that sorted.

Particularly since there now seems to be a little hope we might see changes to the law wrt SBRs at least, and maybe cans even. I'd love to see what they could do with further freedom and market size there.

I think they have fixed quality control issues, my FFL has sold 45 of them in the past 6 months and has not had a single issue. Which is what convinced me it was time to buy.
I now have 400 rounds through mine in 223 and 150 through it in creedmore and have not had a single problem except for a Failure to extract but that was user error
(Forgot to change gas setting after suppressor use.)

Yeah still waiting on the can, ordered early March which turned out to be the wrong time. Lots of people who ordered in April or May getting theirs now, ATF put February and March in another stack do to problems and just skipped 'em. Maybe in another 2-3 months. Still better than paper but also feels worse seeing all the folks getting them in 60-90 days due to ordering much later.

                Anonymous

Feels bad man, I am waiting on my suppressor but I got to try my friends on it and it made me send it on my own.

                Anonymous

Well you may well get yours before me if you ordered in the last month or two lol, otherwise if you're in the same boat we shall suffer together while still knowing there are lots of paperfriends now on Day 400+ which is just moronic. It'll be a great match in the end though, got to try it as well. Unfortunately while not my first nfa rodeo it'll be my first 30cal can so can't just use something else in the meantime. Also the LGS like their shekels and will only allow using it at their range if you not only pay for the range (reasonable) but get their annual "premium plus" membership too (frick that). I'll go somewhere else next time.

My friend had to wait 370 days for his suppressor, So yeah the waiting game is scary, but I think I should be fine.
I am excited since everything I have shot out of my mdrx has been sub moa for the 6.5 Creedmoor so I am going to my 2000 yard range next week which should be fun!

If we go by your "it just has to shoot" standard but Aug's are outdated. I love my MDRx and all the features it has. I can get a mantis bipod built in handguard. I can get an extended aluminum Mlok handguard. I can mount a suppressor and dial down the gas settings, since it's a piston AR like bullpup.

Doesn't matter what you think though, all bullpups have been regulated to collector's status since no military in the world likes them, and civilians get them for funsies. If I were to just have one Bullpup, I'd choose the MDRx all over again.

      Because its a novelty gun.

Not replacing the AR with anything that can't outperform it and take an actual beating like an AR.
Don't get the idea of bullpups either. But I grew up shooting 28" shotguns so my first time seeing a 16" AR I couldn't believe how fricking tiny it was, going any smaller just seems comical and uncomfortable.

Does your Croatian friend know that the VHS is actually a consoomer product made to compete against the AUG and not a real service rifle?

The frick are you on about? The VHS-2 existed YEARS before Springfield started importing them.

It's sarcasm making fun of posters like

The AUG was designed to be a superior infantry rifle. Every other bullpup was designed to compete on the bullpup market. The AUG will always be the only good one.

Hate the grip, handguard, and dumb trigger guard. Should have kept it original

Never had a gun re-marked or engraved, how much would it cost to get that moronic Monster Energy logo scratched off and replaced with something clone correct or even just completely blank

        I DON'T WIPE AT ALL
I TAKE A SHOWER AND USE THE MAX POWER SETTING TO CLEAN MY butthole INSIDE OUT. REAL MAN DOESN'T USE PAPER TO CLEAN ASS WHEN WATER IS CHEAPER.

I don't understand why the separate pinch action is a thing. Can't you push it with the back of your thumb? Seems like a case of npcs just following what the first person did (pinch) and never thinking for themselves.

Push with thumb or index finger works fine, there's really no reason to pinch it
