What? We just had a pile of bullpup threads in the last few weeks that featured that thing amongst the others typical offerings. Not like there are that many good ones, it's always the same list: X95, Aug, MDRX, RDB, Hellion, maybe one other one I'm forgetting. Calm your lactating breasts you gay.
Its obvious you've not held the hellion with its stock grip. The grip that comes with is fricking awful, the A2 actually makes shooting it comfortable.
I fricking hate bicurious charging handles. I don't trust that they would cooperate under stress. Imagine dying because you needed to clear a malfunction and your little springy donger charging handle kept slipping through your fingers because you had to turn your hand in a goofy way to extract it out from under the moronic carry handle.
Like, literally just put a fixed charging handle. Is it that hard?
>Imagine dying because you needed to clear a malfunction and your little springy donger charging handle kept slipping through your fingers because you had to turn your hand in a goofy way to extract it out from under the moronic carry handle.
that sounds like an entirely 'you' problem for not training with it
>inferior equipment isn't that bad if you train with it
OR you could train with good equipment that doesn't have known issues like dainty little charging handles breaking off and being hidden under a moronic arbitrary rail.

Why don't you shut your stupid fricking gay ass up homosexual. You wiener sucking semen drinking cornholing fricking homosexual.
I was genuinely excited to buy one of these until I actually held and finger fricked one at a gun store. I instantly hated it. The controls are absolutely moronic, and for a gun that looks like it's almost entirely plastic the thing weights twice as much as it should. On top of that, the trigger is ass.
Every time we get more at my LGS, they always sell fast while the ARs gather dust. Not sure how it's doing across the rest of the market, but it seems to be successful. I shot one back to back with an AUG and just plain liked the Hellion more. It's a quirky, but very neat gun.
>My aug is better in every way.
I feel exactly the same way about my MDRx but I rented an Aug at my indoor range. I guess people are just naturally biased to stuff they own versus the competition.
>I feel exactly the same way about my MDRx but I rented an Aug at my indoor range.
I love my MDRX too but I think the Aug is fine with an upgraded trigger, and it's definitely much lighter. I have my gun in 308 and the MDRX weight is perfectly reasonable for 30cal, but it's definitely heavier then it needs to be for 223/556. There's a penalty to pay for its modularity. I'd be very interested if DT, along with a further refined 3rd gen MDRX, also did a dedicated small caliber one. Particularly for the Micron have something specifically designed around 300bo subs could be great. Still MDRX is a vastly superior suppressor host which is also important to me though not to many others.
This is all assuming you get a good gun too. If you do it's fricking awesome. But they've had real QC issues over the years and a truly horrendous online ordering and support system. They did a big mea culpa apology video not too long ago so hopefully that marks them starting to get their shit together but I can't blame a lot of folks for feeling more than a touch cautious.
>This is all assuming you get a good gun too. If you do it's fricking awesome. But they've had real QC issues over the years and a truly horrendous online ordering and support system.
I have ran 800rounds through mine. Only one bad failure, and it could have been on my part. Hard to tell with the bolt out of view. Yeah, they should create a dedicated 5.56 (3.0) version of the MDRx, trying to go high tech is probably what gave them a lot of manufacturing problems.
>I have ran 800rounds through mine
You're fine then. But they had for example a charging handle that was subpar and would simply snap off, as well as multiple instances of overtorqued screws. The former wasn't entirely their fault, manufacturer gave them substandard metal and that's super hard to catch, but their shitty internal tracking system meant they couldn't be proactive about dealing with it. And the latter is just shoddy. These were all short run things but they just haven't done a great job of keeping up with their growth, lots of innovative younger companies have that phase but it's not an excuse, they really need to get through it or they're in trouble. They've acknowledged a bunch of it as I said which is healthy and a good sign, but some of the shit they get is deserved.
Their products are innovative and enjoyable enough though that to me personally it's well worth it. And I'm absolutely biased towards wanting them to succeed, and there is awesome shit they could do next. But I can't in honesty just recommend them to anyone either and it's primarily due to QC and support. So I hope they get that sorted.
Particularly since there now seems to be a little hope we might see changes to the law wrt SBRs at least, and maybe cans even. I'd love to see what they could do with further freedom and market size there.
I think they have fixed quality control issues, my FFL has sold 45 of them in the past 6 months and has not had a single issue. Which is what convinced me it was time to buy.
I now have 400 rounds through mine in 223 and 150 through it in creedmore and have not had a single problem except for a Failure to extract but that was user error

Yeah still waiting on the can, ordered early March which turned out to be the wrong time. Lots of people who ordered in April or May getting theirs now, ATF put February and March in another stack do to problems and just skipped 'em. Maybe in another 2-3 months. Still better than paper but also feels worse seeing all the folks getting them in 60-90 days due to ordering much later.

Well you may well get yours before me if you ordered in the last month or two lol, otherwise if you're in the same boat we shall suffer together while still knowing there are lots of paperfriends now on Day 400+ which is just moronic. It'll be a great match in the end though, got to try it as well. Unfortunately while not my first nfa rodeo it'll be my first 30cal can so can't just use something else in the meantime. Also the LGS like their shekels and will only allow using it at their range if you not only pay for the range (reasonable) but get their annual "premium plus" membership too (frick that). I'll go somewhere else next time.

My friend had to wait 370 days for his suppressor, So yeah the waiting game is scary, but I think I should be fine.
I am excited since everything I have shot out of my mdrx has been sub moa for the 6.5 Creedmoor so I am going to my 2000 yard range next week which should be fun!
The AUG was designed to be a superior infantry rifle. Every other bullpup was designed to compete on the bullpup market. The AUG will always be the only good one.
If we go by your "it just has to shoot" standard but Aug's are outdated. I love my MDRx and all the features it has. I can get a mantis bipod built in handguard. I can get an extended aluminum Mlok handguard. I can mount a suppressor and dial down the gas settings, since it's a piston AR like bullpup.
Doesn't matter what you think though, all bullpups have been regulated to collector's status since no military in the world likes them, and civilians get them for funsies. If I were to just have one Bullpup, I'd choose the MDRx all over again.
Every time we get more at my LGS, they always sell fast while the ARs gather dust. Not sure how it's doing across the rest of the market, but it seems to be successful. I shot one back to back with an AUG and just plain liked the Hellion more. It's a quirky, but very neat gun.
>they always sell fast while the ARs gather dust.
Because its a novelty gun.
Not replacing the AR with anything that can't outperform it and take an actual beating like an AR.
Don't get the idea of bullpups either. But I grew up shooting 28" shotguns so my first time seeing a 16" AR I couldn't believe how fricking tiny it was, going any smaller just seems comical and uncomfortable.
2k yeah. i would have bought one a few weeks ago when i went to the brownells retail store, but they were sold out. they had 2 on the rack a few weeks prior. o well i got a benelli m4 instead
Could you play around with the gas settings and make a report here? I've seen mixed messaging about the case ejection being left-hand friendly when set to right eject and vice versa. I suspect some reviewers might have undergassed them.
I would've bought one if they actually just released it as a legit semi-auto VHS-2 clone. Not with the fricking moronic HELLION name and branding garbage. I think Springfield is marketing this to dudes with punisher skulls on their shitty lifted trucks.
How's the long rail treating you AUGbros? I kind of want the one from Corvus Defensio that has the sling QD slot on the sides.

All of the changes but the branding are literally required to get it imported into the country. They have to bring it in like this and unfrick it once its here.

Why are Auggays so fricking insufferable? They're the Glockgays of the bullpup world, we can't have a single bullpup thread here without them shitting everything up.
What's with Austrian gun makers being traditionalists to a fault? Original AUGs have hardly changed in the many decades since its introduction to the point that the Austrians down under had to rebuild the whole thing to modern standards themselves.

Never had a gun re-marked or engraved, how much would it cost to get that moronic Monster Energy logo scratched off and replaced with something clone correct or even just completely blank
The rifle is fine, it's reliable
Everybody saying shit about the size and grip is a fricking idiot. WE CROATS ARE LARGE, WE ARE ON AVERAGE 6 FEET TALL. I AM 6 FOOT 3 AND I FEEL SHORT BECAUSE MY MOTHER IS 6 FOOT 2 AND MY BROTHER AND FATHER ARE 6 FOOT 8
YOU ARE ALL SHORT LITTLE SHITS AND CAN'T HOLD THE RIFLE LIKE A MAN DOES
AUG IS SHIT
FAMAS IS SHIT
MDR IS SHIT
FRICK YOU AND FRICK YOUR SHITTY RIFLE
OUR RIFLE IS FOR MEN
NOT YOUR THEY/THEM WEAK MOIST HANDS
GROW A PAIR OF BALLS AND BUY A BUCKET OF TESTOSTERONE AND DIP YOUR HANDS IN IT SO MAYBE YOU GROW SOME HAIR ON YOUR KNUCKLES
THE WORLD IS GOING TO SHIT BECAUSE OF buttholeS LIKE YOU

I DON'T WIPE AT ALL
I TAKE A SHOWER AND USE THE MAX POWER SETTING TO CLEAN MY butthole INSIDE OUT. REAL MAN DOESN'T USE PAPER TO CLEAN ASS WHEN WATER IS CHEAPER.
I don't understand why the separate pinch action is a thing. Can't you push it with the back of your thumb? Seems like a case of npcs just following what the first person did (pinch) and never thinking for themselves.
What? We just had a pile of bullpup threads in the last few weeks that featured that thing amongst the others typical offerings. Not like there are that many good ones, it's always the same list: X95, Aug, MDRX, RDB, Hellion, maybe one other one I'm forgetting. Calm your lactating breasts you gay.
oh wow another bullpup blackgun. We haven't seen many of those. They are so distinctive.
Their market niches are so important and non-synthetic.
Everyone needs ejection blast in their ears and powder burns in the crook of their arm.
Having a longer barrel in front of you is so useless at all times.
If my barrel is not 3" shorter I can't negotiate a hallway.
Marines of Guadalcanal only fought in the open with no trees around, enormous muskets like tank barrels are uselss in the jungle.
Yes, it's a revolutionary, unique, must-have design, completely different in significant ways from everything else that looks like that.
I must have that one. The other one was no good and this one is totally different and better.
That picture is gold
Good, let the hype die so the price drips more
Yeah Ian made a video about it
>A2 Grip
Even a Gay2 grip is better than that ugly-ass BCM grip it comes with.
Tell us all about your deformed wrist
Its obvious you've not held the hellion with its stock grip. The grip that comes with is fricking awful, the A2 actually makes shooting it comfortable.
> the A2 actually makes shooting it comfortable.
When you had your wrist injury you decided to let it heal on your own instead of having it reset didn't you?
They never released it and 5.56 is officially obsolete anyway.
The only people that bought this gun are consoomers
What's supposed to be the selling point of it anyway? The carrying handle? I guess the charging handle is neat.
In my eyes it's the closest we'll ever get to a FAMAS sadly. It almost was the new FAMAS too, but frickin HK416 lmao.
I fricking hate bicurious charging handles. I don't trust that they would cooperate under stress. more like not able to fricking find one
I want it in .308, Fury, Grendel, or Sneedmoar.
Good riddence OP.
Mine was pretty nice to shoot
the trigger is awful don't lie to us I've shot it too.
nice fumo though
That's not an AUG
Hows the gas blowback with that surefire can (I'm assuming RC2)?
It's not bad at all with supressor gas plug
What muzzle device do you have for your RC2?
How's the long rail treating you AUGbros? I kind of want the one from Corvus Defensio that has the sling QD slot on the sides.

Pretty hot, but damn if I don’t like the look of the A3 with the funny 3x.
Beautiful gun and setup anon. I'm jealous. Gonna start saving up for one soon.
Hello friend are we posting our bullpups now
Why did Midwest stop making that rail? Is there a rail like that that doesn't block the foregrip still available?
They stopped making it because nobody gives a shit about bullpups.
I would've bought one if they actually just released it as a legit semi-auto VHS-2 clone. Not with the fricking moronic HELLION name and branding garbage. I think Springfield is marketing this to dudes with punisher skulls on their shitty lifted trucks.

That's Springfield's largest market.

The VHS was designed for the Croatian military to have a domestically produced gun, it wasn't something they ever expected to be able to sell to any civilian market.
>muh large capacity magazines that lock into the gun by exactly the same mechanism as a small magazine
>muh folding stock that still doesn't bring the gun to less than 26" OAL
>muh pistol grip on a gun that isn't a pistol
>muh bayonet lug because a gun plus a blade would be a weapon to surpass metal gear
>muh flash suppressor that makes the gun shoot 100% more bullet per bullet
>muh bipod for Katrina snipers
>muh night sights because only criminals shoot at night
I got mad just reading this.
>the fricking moronic HELLION name and branding garbage
Most all gun names are cheesy but "Hellion" almost sounds like a shitpost
nah i'm just saving up until the price of those tumble down.
I'll buy one at 1k, though its only worth about 800 really.
This rifle came all the way from Eastern Europe to kill peggies, and none of you frickers are buying it.
is that a famas?
This is a famas
I wonder what Nexter did to all the tooling for the FAMAS G2 and the F1.
I'm told they cant make these anymore because they lost the telemetry data.
Did it in fact ever really exist?
I really want that aug with waffle mag anons. Anyone in this thread willing to share their experiences with one?
It just doesn't look good. Something about it looks like it'll just fricking melt if you shoot it too much. And the grip for some reason just looks so fricking gay, while doing nothing spectacular for a disgustingly large price.
What even is the barrel profile? Is it free floated or does it contact that atrocious receiver at 15 spots where it can start melting?
>Can’t get full-auto bits so I can make it my fighting rifle
>Didn’t import the sexy optic model like pic related
Eh, Can it at least use G36 mags like it’s supposed to? Might be a fun side toy, but not much more than that without the fun bits.
why did the US commercial version not get this riser/carry thing
Because integrated optics sell very poorly in the adult legoland US gun market.
Because you end up paying more for worse optics. Even the Croatian military moved to the pic rail option because it's just better for everything but kino.
interesting
a good point
>my fighting rifle
you are not in afghanistan
you are never going to see le booger loo
the only thing you will ever fight is diabetes
Know a guy that has one, he's got a gay car and bike tho so maybe his taste ain't great
I already have an RDB defender it let's me do the HK slap.
Arms Unlimited was selling these for $2k today. If the price goes down to $1600 I might pick one up.
i got to handle one at a lgs recently. meh. i does make me want a kel tec rdb, oddly enough.
I want one in Grendel but preferably Fury or Creedmoor, and will settle for .308.
Why are Auggays so fricking insufferable? They're the Glockgays of the bullpup world, we can't have a single bullpup thread here without them shitting everything up.
It looks like our superiority has caused some controversy.
What's with Austrian gun makers being traditionalists to a fault? Original AUGs have hardly changed in the many decades since its introduction to the point that the Austrians down under had to rebuild the whole thing to modern standards themselves.
I want one because my Croation friend had a VHS-2 in the service. Also Helghast Forever
Does your Croatian friend know that the VHS is actually a consoomer product made to compete against the AUG and not a real service rifle?
The frick are you on about? The VHS-2 existed YEARS before Springfield started importing them.
It's sarcasm making fun of posters like
Hate the grip, handguard, and dumb trigger guard. Should have kept it original
What fun is that?
Never had a gun re-marked or engraved, how much would it cost to get that moronic Monster Energy logo scratched off and replaced with something clone correct or even just completely blank
You all are fricking homosexuals
THE WORLD IS GOING TO SHIT BECAUSE OF buttholeS LIKE YOU
RIFLE
IS
FINE
YOU
ARE
A
MANLET
>pinch to release magazine
Do you finger your butthole to wipe?
I DON'T WIPE AT ALL
I TAKE A SHOWER AND USE THE MAX POWER SETTING TO CLEAN MY butthole INSIDE OUT. REAL MAN DOESN'T USE PAPER TO CLEAN ASS WHEN WATER IS CHEAPER.
I don't understand why the separate pinch action is a thing. Can't you push it with the back of your thumb? Seems like a case of npcs just following what the first person did (pinch) and never thinking for themselves.
Push with thumb or index finger works fine, there's really no reason to pinch it
Wake m up when there's options for it other than 5.56.
I like mine alot
it's not even bad it's just that everything else is so good
Outdated garbage and shit taste.
Who the frick still uses VHS tapes, and if you do, why the frick would you keep a copy of Police Academy III?
