Per police use of force training, striking an extremity would not be deadly force, striking the head or neck would be considered deadly force. You would be a step ahead of the game if you have had some form of accredited training. When I lived in blue states, carrying a concealed ASP was the same as any other “deadly weapon” which is why I didn’t get how Antifa always has them with no consequences.

Should I spring for the ASP? Apparently S&W makes (or at least licenses) one that's a comparable price point just a hair cheaper, there are still some police surplus ones on the market, trouble is Smith hasn't been a reputable brand in forever - their old revolvers and Walther derivatives are great, their new pistols are trash and their knives are barrel bottom chinesium

ASPs are frickin garbage. All the weight is in the handle, not the striking surface. See

The same as if you accidentally killed somebody with any other weapon? Dumb question. The Peacekeeprr Intl RCB is the best expandable baton in the game though. Wish I hadnt gifted mine when I left policing. Thing had no paint left. I'll always prefer a good cocobolo straight stick though.

You havent used an ASP much apparently. I've seen them bend after being used on somebody to the point they cant be closed or reused. Seen them rebound and hit the officer in the teeth after she tried to break a window with it. And seen drunks take ASPs to the legs and body all day long. It hurt them the next day but in the moment nothing. ASPs are absolute garbage sold to depts as a cheap, easy to carry toy that satisfies a liability concern (ie giving officers a LTL tool). PR-24s, straight sticks, or the RCB are the only way to go if you plan on using your baton. And the PR-24 requires training certs to carry in most places.

Mine is from Elite Espantoons. The thing worked great and I carried it for a little elss than a year until we got a really liberal chief who thought wood sticks were bad. He wanted us to taze and OC people and hit them with metal rods instead since thats apparently more progressive. I loved it though. Could spin it on foot patrols and bar calls, people usually saw a wood baton and wanted no part of that action either. Performed well as any other hard wooden club wielded by a large man would

Because it's a blue state, a large amount of them are paid protestors working for the NWO global elites that democrats are in league with.

I would assume how much trouble you get in depends on which state you live in chiefly, then depending on your skin color you get a it's not okay to be white pass, then reasonable places might go off how much damage you cause the person. I hear really conflicting things about collapsing batons. It's just hollow alluminum so I hear their break pretty often. It probably shouldn't have that much trouble breaking something like a persons forearm if they try to block with it, but if you're straight up trying to split wigs the thing will probably bust from what I've heard about them. These sort of collapsable batons have that trade off of durability. Just do what everyone else trying to circumvent the system do, get a maglight with D battery cells, it's a thicker aluminum and the lead batteries give it mass. It's proven effective enough police aren't allowed to do it anymore. Besides a flashlight is a lot less suspicious than a baton.

Does cocobolo wood work better than hickory for a good solid joggerknocker? I heard Brazilian Rosewood is almost as strong as steel but most places only have Indian which is much softer

        >Does cocobolo wood work better than hickory for a good solid joggerknocker?
It would work well, it's harder than hickory.

        >I heard Brazilian Rosewood is almost as strong as steel but most places only have Indian which is much softer
All kinds of rosewood are harder than average woods, but Brazilian Rosewood seems like an odd choice of wood for someone to talk up, it's not super strong. It is, however, terribly expensive because it's banned from harvesting thanks to CITES, and it is in extremely high demand for building acoustic guitars.

If you want crazy strong meme woods look for lignum vitae--that's what British police truncheons were traditionally made from--very hard, very strong, and very dense. Other good choices would be ebony, Brazilian walnut (Ipe), Live Oak (not to be confused with other types of Oak), Snakewood. There's also a lot of species sold under the name "Ironwood", those would probably work well too. There's a number of super-hard woods coming out of Australia as well.

If your going to bash someone, they can't run away. Better to just whip the homietry right out at the start.

If they were presenting a deadly threat, none.
If they were not, you go to prison for 20 to life.
