Tear down that bridge and they're fricked, they have nowhere to get food.

take/destory/control the bridge, then wait. This isnt that difficult

I do this but also add in the use of trebuchets to throw plagued animal/human corpses into the castle (or at least onto the rocks). I’ll also vary the ammunition with naphtha incendiaries, irritating/poisonous smokes, burning opium, quicklime, poisonous animals/insects, pests creatures/vermin and man rapists (I don’t know if they will survive the trip but either way I’ll get rid of some man rapists). Then I just wait for the castle to go quite.

I'd start an all-you-can-smoke opium den for all the peasants. Make sure to have a solid supply for 3 months or so. Then tell them the king/queen/nobles stole all the opium for themselves. I would then have a psychotic peasant army at my command who neither fears death or pain.

The point of a castle is to control a valuable chokepoint that the enemy would be forced to attack or suffer some penalty, sometimes simply by storing grain collected from local lands or concentrated wealth like metal tableware, work tools, weapons, treasury and whatnot.
This castle is difficult to regularly deliver valuables into, it's so high up that it exerts no zone of control around it since arrows don't fly accurately that far.. and it doesn't have multiple exits to pose a risk of raiding on the besieging party, so it will stay besieged with no risk for attackers until it starves.

To add to other anons more specifically OP: you need to understand that medieval castle sieges could last a LONG time. Look up the first siege of Ceuta which iirc was the longest but still, TWENTY SIX (26) fricking years. Plenty went 10+.

Basically there's a dividing line, yeah if a castle/city is sufficiently weak it can be rolled with raw fire power, even medieval level. But at some point it's strong enough (and/or backed by strong enough reinforcements) that it turns into siege war, at which it point it's more about external factors on each side then internal, who has enough will, allies (and thus manpower), and logistics to outlast the other.

Put a garrison of guys on the road out of range of any crossbows or bows and wait for 10 years.
    >destroy the bridge guys I destroy the bridge
It's part of the fricking mountain, you can't destroy it with the equipment you have while also under fire/sally from the keep itself, who are still thinking human beings.

Be israeli and offer moneylending services to the King.
Then, gradually disconnect the King from the Church and convince him to stop paying his Men-At-Arms.
Once the time is right, orchestrate a court revolt from the inside, crowning some servant boy as the new King.

That's why I get Israeli citizenship in advance as a fallback option.

But israelite Anon the Israeli state will not exist until 1948, that’s a pretty big long fallback to wait for.

Luckily, members of my temple have engaged local kings and done the same, and I have called upon them to encourage their golems to form a coalition to eliminate the King. If this is unsuccessful, I shall simply move elsewhere and start again.

In time, though, we will be able to destroy the priestly and warrior castes of the cattle - and the holy geld shall reign. We will indebt the Vatican, raise up the financial market and encourage speculation, using it to incite and profit off wars across the world.

i would use active measures to convince the defenders of the castle to adopt the principles of atheism, homosexuality, communism, anti-racist apologetics and mass migration. Eventually they would simply kill themselves and let me in.

Castles are important because they give the inhabitants the ability to frick with your supply lines if you try to just march past them, and they tie down a substantial portion of your army for an extended period of time if you try to deal with them first. That castle doesn't do either of those things. Just destroy that rock bridge and forget it ever existed.
