The bloated US military was primarily built to kill Russians, and now we can do that without boots on the ground and using hand be downs, lol. Only a moron would be against destroying a longstanding geopolitical rival with basically no risk or actual cost

That's a clever misrepresentation. Sanctions are not designed to run banks to the ground, they're designed to stop Russia from acquiring funds, equipment and war material. The point is to maje it harder for them to conduct the war and provide support for the frontline.

So which country is most likely to go first? The Netherlands?

      Anonymous

Probably. The Dutch have pretty much acknowledged that with how tucked away behind several armies they are (and squeezed from behind by the Brits) the likelyhood of an assault is almost NIL. They could get off scot free with just a handful of fighters left.

They're also already in the waiting line for F-35s IIRC so there's no reason to worry about restocking.

we already have a bunch of F35's flying regularly, IMO we should just send all the remaining F16's we have in service and were decommisioning RIGHT NOW.
they deserve to serve their goddamn purpose after flying over my head all these years.

    Death to yookraine

Well this should be good enough. For Denmark it would be a bit weird to train Ukrainian pilots on Danish soil. Because we regularly send up F-16´s to check on Russian planes in the Baltic sea. So it´s not out of the realm that a Ukrainian pilot sitting in a F-16 B with a Danish pilot would meet a Russian pilot. But if we can take our 10 F-16 B´s and train them in the U.K it would be perfect. It would make involvement of the U.K even greater, which is what Danish politicians want. They just want a nuclear power to be as involved as Denmark is. If the U.S gives the permission to transfer and Denmark still can´t do it because the U.S themselves won´t get anymore involved, well then the politicians needs to reassess their place in politics.
In the end Ukraine will be getting way more then the 24-36 planes they asked for, but the speed depends on the delivery of F-35´s for the different countries.

I think that is highly likely. I know people think of it as a bit of a meme but the UK appears strongly committed to the JEF concept. All cooperation is good cooperation. We too spend a lot of time chasing Tu-142s around but I guess there might be a bit more room.

This is such a moronic argument and makes one wonder where the U.S is finding these officials. Tens of thousands dead Ukrainians and somehow they worry about an old F-16,0 that was going to be throw out, gets shot down with a Ukrainian pilot that has nothing better to do then dying for his country. Even if half or all of 100+ F-16´s gets shot down it will still be a success, as long as they inflict damage on Russians.

It has been a very, very long time since the US had to fight a serious real peer or semi-peer (peer backed) war, and political leaders were straight in informing the public that yes there'd be serious sacrifices and that people die when they are killed etc. It's not like there is total loss aversion, but the math for the US is very skewed for a lot of government officials (not all, but probably a plurality at least) vs other countries at this point.
