Well he's not wrong. Russia squandered the opportunity to pull off shock and awe in the first days of the war because they thought this would be like the USSR in czechoslovakia and tried to win the hearts and minds of the population. Now that they know it's a real war they are launching everything they have, to little effect since the ukies are ready for it

Vatnik, the Russians were launching unguided munitions the entire war and launching cruise missiles at apartments days in. Once they realized the only people in Ukraine who wanted their corruption were in Crimea and the bydlo republics, they resorted to what they did in Chechnya and Syria. Also, I'm not sure how the U.S. supposedly spams missiles for 4 weeks when Baghdad fell in 3 weeks from the start of the war.

The thing is they have over a million soldiers, more equipment than all of NATO combined and give a frick about mass casulaties so can take Ukraine a piecemeal. Remember that USA is so scared of Russian nuclear might tha they still refuse to provide ATACMS.

          >more equipment than all of NATO combined

LMAO, suuure. If you count all the rusted-out wrecks in the ass-end of Siberia perhaps.

Well, guess what? At the current rate? No, they won't take Ukraine piecemeal. Becuase at the current rate, the Ukrainians will have exterminated every single last military-age male Russian alive before then. And good fricking luck trying to "not give a frick about mass casualties" when it's literally your entire army and every able-bodied conscript avaiable to you that's become mass casualties.

Remember that outside delusional vatBlack person propaganda the USA are so "scared" that they've literally written into law that they will provide effectively infinite weapons and funding to the Ukrainians for the duration of this war, no matter if it will take months or decades to end it.

          >keeps the absurd amounts prototype shit
Unlike USA, they usualy finish their prototypes sooner or later like this one

LMAO. Just like their vapourware Armata, their vapourware SU-57, their dozens upon dozens of vapourware warships, all their vapourware superweapons etc.

                >TOS kills everything in a few hundred meters.
Hilarious joke. Unironically the TOS-1 is ultimately a wunderwaffe that finds more use in media than in actual combat.

You wouldn't be saying that when a few cases of GMLRS AW hit your trench with pinpoint accuracy. The tens of thousands of tungsten projectiles in each warhead turning its inhabitants into red mist.
The TOS-1 is unguided (also inaccurate), short ranged, and highly vulnerable to counter battery fire. Its basically a glorified, factory made, thermobaric IRAM.

No, it's a useful weapon. Short range massive HE rocket barrages are a successful weapon dating back to WW2, despite being re-forgotten after each war because they're unglamorous and simplistic.

It's simply that the short range and psychological effects make it an easy to hit priority target so few survived the initial months.

Thermobarics are massively overhyped like every other Russian wunderwaffe.
They serve a niche of killing infantry holed up in residential buildings without having to siege them.
This was mostly a response to Chechnya and the follow up wave of terrorist cells popping up.
Making rocket artillery but WOW THERMOBARIC no longer fills that niche, and is actually inferior in almost all relevant metrics to regular rocket artillery.
So yes, it's a meme weapon.

Sometimes you just gotta take a step back and think about how insanely inadequate the forces at play are. Donetsk is the capital of one of the two separatist republics, has been for 8 years, and they have the full backing of the Russian Army. Yet we're half a year into this war and they still haven't taken a village sitting on the plains, less than 10 kms from Donetsk city proper. If the UA political leadership wasn't completely moronic even Lyschansk may still be Ukrainian, amazing.

      Anonymous

It's 10km to the city centre. But Pisky borders Donetsk, it's right there.
In 2014 they couldn't take the Donetsk airport for 5 month, and only did it by the way of levelling it to the ground. And back then we didn't even have a real army.

      Anonymous

      >If the UA political leadership wasn't completely moronic even Lyschansk may still be Ukrainian, amazing
Ukraine didn't have HIMARS then so Russian artillery worked 60000 shells a day, even if Ukraine didn't hold Severodonetsk(which Russians paid in blood for every inch), they'd have to abandon Lysychansk anyway but with lower Russian losses

        Anonymous

Severo was a mistake and no, the Russian casualties don't make up for it. Any casualties the Russians suffered at Severo they would've suffered the same and more at Lysychansk with Ukraine also holding onto Luhansk longer with the option to withdraw more efficiently when the time inevitably comes.

          Anonymous

          >would've suffered the same and more at Lysychansk
there would be no fighting in Lysychansk anyway, if they just took troops in Severodonetsk and send them to Popasna they'd use them to go around Lysychansk, not fighting in Lysychansk

        Anonymous

I didn't say anything about Avdeevka being taken just asking if OP is confusing them since its a heavily fortified place like Peski

They claimed to take Pisky like two weeks ago and boasted how it was a turning point in the whole Donbass area for some reason. It turns out Ukies are still entrenched in the northen part to this day.
I would like to also remind everyone that it's a village literally on the suburbs of the Donetsk city just 1 (one) km from away from the infamous Donetsk airport and Donbabweans were unable to take it for 6 (six) months so far.

No matter how fortified these places are its embarrassing that the Russians still allow Ukrainians to shell innocent civilians in Donetsk from these places.
Especially because a place like Peski has no civilians anymore and its only military personnel and equipment. What's stopping them from carpet bombing this village besides incompetence?

                why wouldn't you trust this

                btw you and

BBC was one of the only western media outlets to post Ukrainian war crime articles, so yes? I trust them more than I trust RT lol.

cant be serious with this BBC thing lol

Answer the question, who do we trust. Or listen to. As the other guy said, the BBC did articles on Ukrainian war crimes, meaning they weren't being biased. That is infinitely more trustworthy than RT or whatever.

                If your answer is
                >TRUST NOBODY!
Then why do I trust you to tell me what I should trust? You've not given me any 'legit' sources which totally don't hide the truth.

I did say Donbass specifically, 415 mentions is nothing.
Ukraine is a broader subject. You have Crimea, Maidan, discussion about their army and equipment power level, overall politics and shit like that on top of the war in Donbass

Clearly the DPR is in on the conspiracy to cover up the 20,000 deaths in the Donbas region, because their own reports show only a handful of deaths per year. The efforts by the State Department to cover up the 30,000 ethnic Russian children killed goes deep indeed!

Also I'm not sure the people from Mariupol would agree with you that it was Russia that killed their relatives and neighbors when 95% of them voted to join Donbass back in 2014.

They’re going to do EXACTLY what they’re been doing for the last 4 months: arty the shit out of it until the defenders can’t take it any more and leave. They’ll take the village and move on to the next while you trash cope with memes and the echo chamber as usual. Aren’t you tired of it?

Have you noticed that the settlements Russia "arty the shit out of" have been getting progressively smaller? Every one else has. It's almost as if their capacity for sustained indiscriminate bombardments is getting rather thin. I wonder why that could be?
