How useful is a pistol grip on a battle rifle, as compared to something like a Fightlite SCR, a Springfield M1A, or a LolKeks RDB/RFB?
Does a pistol grip make a rifle much easier to manipulate? Is there a benefit to not having one, other than aesthetics?
Also, is this a Washington compliant handgun? I'm still noodling my way through their new legal mess.
Not compliant for a few reasons.
If the mag doesn't go into the grip ots a no go.
Also has a threaded barrel with is also a no gun.
Here we go.
Looks like the Remington Tac-13 is still compliant?
Jesus Christ that's worse than Canada
It is. We deserve to be nuked. Please nuke Olympia first, for reasons.
>thankfully I already own what I want/need
>pic related me irl
Fuck that, let's get you your rights back instead. We're on track to improve things in canuckistan, and if we can do it, you can certainly do it. Do you guys have state-level orgs with any influence?
Not with modern dems. We used to have guns with gay weed. Now we have stoner faggits trying to legislate my rights out of existence. Even with HB**44 or whatever being challenged in court, and even if it goes in our favor, it will take years.
>I cannot wait until my wife is out of college
Just a bunch of lawsuits but those take a long time to see if they pan out.
Also cost a lot of money companies arent going to pay for, for our rights. Rather focus in willing and able customers. This isnt a fucking choice, it is tyranny.
>Do you guys have state-level orgs with any influence?
We have the the King County political machine which has rigged every election since 2005.
You arent giving enough credit to Olympia being a libshit hole as well.
In the US, on a state by state basis, our souther brothers trend towards being fucked in perpetuity. At the Federal level in Canada, we got conservative governments enough to be able to roll back bullshit every so often... But blue states? Those are locked in, in perpetuity. These laws are unlikely to be changed easily if at all.
Nta, just another WA gay. Let's get the rights back and still nuke Olympia.
Honestly it might be better if eastern Washington seceded and joined greater Idaho
I literally cannot believe I'm saying this to an American, but if you want to come up and shoot some semi-autos, you're more than welcome, and the beer's on me
Are canucks still going to give me the needle for being unvaxxed?
Nope, that's over with. Common up WAbro
do gun ranges there report people if they bring their "assault weapons" or are they chill about it
We have innawoods everywhere. The most you could be is maybe an hour counting traffic from enough woodland to shoot.
>I keep my gucci modded out AK locked up because I'm afraid of some fudd fed or cop fuckin with me.
I'm in IL and ranges here don't really give a fuck as far as i have seen
>do gun ranges there (WA) report people
Yes.
have you ever thought of bringing your whole kit and if the boomer gay RSO or owner reports you, just frag them lol
Sure thing kid.
>boomer gay RSO
>just frag them lol
They're all veterans, and somehow blue falcons. They would waste me with the 1911s they've all carried since they got back from 'nam.
>do gun ranges there report people if they bring their "assault weapons" or are they chill about it
No because the law is unenforceable and grandfathers in all existing assault weapons. There is no way of knowing if someone illegally imported a new one unless it was some gun that came out after the ban, even then no one gives a fuck. No one asks for SBR or suppressor paper work at the ranges I go to. Some gunstores trend the line as legally as they can and some just don't give a fuck and sell you shit anyway. Gunstores pass illegal magazines all the time, none of the ones I go to because the attorney general specifically went after their asses for doing so already.
Cops and gun ranges just don't care.
My friend goes to public ranges with a braced short barrel AR with a FRT trigger (which you cant buy in WA), still no one cares.
Just make it fully automatic with no semi setting
Loophole first box says is it a semi auto or a bolt action or a pump etc
A machine gun isn’t semi auto therefore not a Washington state assault weapon
so a broomhandle mauser C96 is an assault weapon according to that, if it is one of the later models with detachable mags?
Yes, and so is my Wincheater 10/22 wildcat or any semi-auto 10/22. Mine also has a threded barrel so I'm set.
so what, you have to turn that in now? or what is the punishment for owning an 'assault weapon'?
Nothing, but you cannot modify them in any way. Adding a muzzle device is modifying an assault weapon. It's brought up a lot of dubious questions on replacement parts if something is damage or broken is buying a new stock for a currently owned weapon, modifying a new assault weapon? Shit sucks here.
They're magic little secret is the language, you cannot modify so-called assault weapons with any additional parts which creates a lot of gray areas. And as I understand it, do to the legality issues, a lot of companies refused to ship to Washington State as to not be hemmed up in their bullshit sideways laws.
that's absolutely fucking insidious
so that means if the DA is feeling frisky, repairing a broken part on an AW means jailtime
so its a soft ban. absolutely evil.
totally worth it though just for their support of ukraine.
I means, (again as I understand it and have discussed with others) if i shoot you with a glock, WA or whoever can sue glock, and all down the line. The law is to intimidate sellers from selling anything here in addition to banning over a hundred firearms by name. We are the most cuked state maybe minus Hawaii or dc because they can't have pistols at all.
Maybe we'll get a legal precedent where if I get hit by a soi retard Tesla driver I can use that gay Elong for half his net worth.
No, look closer. Non-centerfire rifles are exempt.
It could be gross miss-interpretation of the law as I was still required to provide my "assault weapons saftey" certificate and wait like 3 weeks (2 business weeks)
How many times to do have to prohibit FAMAS before anyone takes you serious.
i will be leaving in a year. this is just too much.
alright so we just need to make rimfire 5.56 and make it so this gun can only use rimfire 5.56
Yes.
I foresee a proliferation of .22mag ARs
no I'm talking a purpose-built rimless rimfire round, one that looks like 5.56 and performs the exact same as 5.56, but fires like a .22, meaning that it would be totally legal to have a kitted out AR in this caliber. Also, the rifle would have to be made in a way that a regular 5.56 round either won't chamber or won't fire in it so it could only use this meme caliber.
I never thought I'd see the day Washington has worse gun laws than California
Someone needs to come up with an AR variant that technically isn't semiauto but to charge it, requires a button to be pressed in between shots. Like you have a normal charging handle for the AR, then after every shot, the bolt is kept in a rearward position until you press a button or activate some sort of mechanical function. Something super easy to press as to not impact shootabilty and rate of fire. Like a non optional bolt hold open. That would probably cuck most AWBs until the courts take care of them.
>Something super easy to press
Just make the trigger act as a bolt release, first stage of the trigger drops the bolt, second stage drops the hammer. Nothing could possibly be more satisfactory.
>he just created an open bolt firing AR
this activates my almonds
read his post again, it's not open bolt.
it is if my little file has anything to say about it!
It's called a Manually Activated Release System, turns a semi auto into a manual action.
They had those in Australia then quickly banned them
Something like a P7 but lighter pull would be pretty interesting
Why are you bothering to follow made up rules is the real question
the problem is getting someone else to sell you the fucking thing
Because if I don't then they shoot my dog & family.
Pistol grips help you keep the rifle stable during rapid fire, and less importantly, give you the leverage to keep the weapon pointed with one hand/arm if you need your other hand for something else in an emergency. Now go ahead and post a bunch of jokes about jerking off
We already have your mom to do that for us.
It's less that a pistol grip is more useful and that a traditional-gripped rifle is less useful. The M14/M1A have a fucking lot of reciprocating mass that makes the recoil feel much worse than either the G3 or FAL. If there had been the space to lengthen the receiver and increase the bolt's travel distance it wouldn't have been as bad.
>But muh cyclic rate
Doesn't matter for shit on a rifle that will either be semiauto only or will be in full auto basically never.
Dude speaking from someone in IL, your best bet is ruger shit. Gun shops just now figured out wtf they mean by barrel shroud and now the only semi auto shoulder fired weapons are ruger mini 14 cucked version, ruger pc carbine cucked version and like…sks.
Fucking Fitelite is making a lever action of their SCR...instead of making more SCR's
I suppose they hate money and or are not dedicated to giving the finger to gun control, because If I was Fitelite, I'd be dedicating all production of SCR's and working an exclusive deal with Turner's Outdoorsman for Californian Customers.
Idk, this way they can sell to Washingtonians too.
Wouldn't be legal in WA.
Why not? It's not a semi-auto.
Detachable mag outside of grip is considered an AW.
Only for pistols. The SCR lower is not an assault weapon by itself, its features on the AR-15 upper like the handguard (evil barrel shroud) that make it an assault weapon. If you could get around that and have no threaded barrel it'll be legal like the few semi autos like the Browning BAR and Benelli R1
Look at
then go to rifle on the left side and then go from there, it will still be illegal.
>Detachable mags
>Yes
>Does it have these features
>It has a handguard
>Handguard is considered a barrel shroud in WA.
>For that it is an AW.
The lower by itself it is not an assault weapon, SCRlowers don't have any of the features that are banned. If you already have AR-15 uppers it's okay. Independently gunstores will still sell uppers since it's not creating a new assault weapon, you already have one in the lower by name (if we're talking AR-15 lower), it's a replacement part which is allowed.
Look at
First question: Is it a semi-automatic?
Answer: No.
Follow the arrow labeled "no" ==> Not an assault weapon.
Battle rifles are still good but they should be 10 shot so the magazine doesn't stick out all retarded, also have a synthetic stock that looks wood.
Pistol grips help when using a bayonet. If you wanna get stabby, get a pistol grip.
Are AR lowers legal then in WA? From what I understand it’s legal to buy a gun out of state in WA as long as it’s “legal” in WA so even if sellers won’t risk stocking them I could always go over the border to get them
Just go to Idaho and do private sale there. My brother been going there and buying stripped lowers / completed uppers and bringing it back.
AFAIK that's illegal now? Transfers to out-of-state residents require an FFL, and Idaho FFLs won't touch Washington residents, because WA law would make them liable for any crimes or damages that the firearm is involved in, at any point in the future.
