The hardest part is finding like minded individuals. I can teach anyone the basics of foraging and hunting but finding people to go out and build a community illegally in the middle of fricking no where? That's hard.

The problem with any attempt to form a self-supporting, let alone autonomous, communal group, is that the people who want to join them are expecting to do less work rather that the greater amount that life requires.

I don't know. I have no friends and haven't opened up to anyone in years. Every person I've tried to get close to over the past ten years ends up ghosting me or I end up ghosting them. It's gotten to the point where I simply remind myself that all the associations I make a work are merely temporary and that nobody has any personal value to me beyond how good they are as a coworker. I am ready to leave this world behind, but there is no Mayflower to take me away to a new one.

What the frick are you talking about? There's no point inventing some fantasy about having a tribe when we can't even get enough people to do it.

Having children in a tribe is like step 55 we haven't even completed step 1.

To address your original post you're skipping too far ahead. There's no point having children if we can't get more than 1 person.

    >womb can give me, and I'll raise them as deeply traditional as I possibly can, and look for traditionally minded families to marry them into. If everything goes to plan, I should have lots of grandkids around the table by the time I croak. If I'm very lucky, the extended family will be well-bonded, and that is effectively a tribe.
This has nothing to do with a hunter gatherer tribe and its no where close. Homesteaders are far closer. You're coping hard. Your children will have smart phones and when they reach adulthood they will leave you for careers and their children will have smart phones.

His premise is that raising children who are traditional within the confines of society is the closest to a hunter gatherer tribe possible. If he had given it more than 10 minutes thought he would join the amish.

Kek. OP never said anything about the definition of a tribe that isn't the discussion here, the thread again is about hunter gatherers.

Look people who feel the need to tell everyone their plans like yourself are only trying to convince themselves. Just your argument style and the fact you're still posting here shows you're going to be a shit father. Good lucking raising children who are anti tech when you're addicted to technology.

You can't, it's illegal (and will be enforced).

Not only that, but the amount of animals have diminished to such a degree, since the ice age that it's definitely no longer a viable lifestyle. The remaining tribes in Africa for example, which didn't suffer too greatly from the end of the glacial period, are greatly suffering and are increasingly being forced to take up agriculture.

Why do you think we switched to agriculture in the first place? It was harder, longer, more boring work than hunting and gathering, but the ice age animals all quickly died out, so we were forced to.

I'd start by finding a hunting/fishing/trapping partner who wants to fill their freezer with wild game. If you find someone you can really trust perhaps start poaching as a team so each of you can fill your chest freezer with wild game year round. Read this book for ideas.
