How long and how many mobiks would it take Russia to take Kyiv?

How long and how many mobiks would it take Russia to take Kyiv?

Considering how long it took to capture Bakhmut, I was thinking of what insane amount of time and manpower it would take to capture Kyiv.

Keep in mind that last year a former US special forces officer said that Kyiv was a deathtrap that would take the US months and hundreds of thousands of soldiers to capture if they had full air supremacy. I wonder what it’s like now.

Let’s assume that the Ukrainians and Russians are both willing to keep fighting no matter what, no revolts or anything ok. And now assuming Western support continues to arrive, you would have to fight long enough to kill all military age Ukies (since the distance from Bakumut to Kyiv is too great for them to make it to at the current rate/ratio of casualties inflicted to ground taken.
    Now let’s examine the Ukie’s casualty rate vs Russia’s. It’s about 3.7 to 1,
So the number of mobiks needed is 3.7x, where x=the military age fighting population of Ukraine. Roughly 16347710 Russian mobiks needed

      Anonymous

Wait, I fricked up my math. I forgot to take into account the fact that Russia is advancing AND KILLING so slowly that Ukraine will have time for millions of young men to reach fighting age, such that the rate of new fighting age males gained to those lost in combat (let alone fighting age females) might actually outpace Russian casualty inflicting capabilities. In that case the number of mobiks (m) is equal to the limit of x as x approaches infinity

        Anonymous

WAIT WAIT WAIT, nevermind the number is (mobiks killed taking bakumut) multiplied by (distance from Bkamut to Kyiv) then divided by (distance from start of bakamut to end of bakamut)
        Or roughly 781005083 mobiks

Yeah but on the other end the formula doesn’t take into account how the Russians have to support longer and longer logistical trains as they get closer to Kyiv and they already had guys starving to death and dying of hypothermia in Bakhmut barely any distance from their borders

You basically want to control the main roads, to sell the city and to enter with the infantry after, yes it can be done but it will take months, Russia don't control Kherson, Dnipro, Mykolaiv or Odesa so just figure Kiev, NATO will join the conflict before the Russians try to landlock them

Since there's a big river going through the city, it would probably be easier to invade from Belarus and go west to cut off polish border

Belarus shouldn't want to be involved in Ukraine, you have these rumors about Lukashenko's health and the country could face revolts if he passes away, it would be a new problem for Moscow because The West is supporting a regime change there.

It doesn't matter what Belarus wants, there's like 8 million of them within military orders of magnitude more dilapidated than Russian.
There are tens of thousands of Russian personnel in Belarus tight now, and they are regularly launching standoff munitions against Kyiv from Belarusian airspace

That boat sailed. Russia actually had a very good window to take it in the beginning of the invasion. Now all of NATO are just going to dump more and more aid to Ukraine since we're at the "sunken cost" phase to really stop sending aid.

More mobiks than there are grains of sand on the entire planet. Or in colloquial Russian terminology, ''enough''.

There isn't really a simple answer because it depends on the strategic situation. An assault on Kyiv would probably mean than Russians took control of the entire Eastern Ukraine.
Or a massive invasion from Belarus.
Or taking more of southern Ukraine and crossing the Dnieper in zaporozhina.
In the eastern assault scenario i think they would take eastern Kyiv relatively easily, but no number of mobiks would let them cross the river

Depends how many Ukrainian soldiers are still alive. It could take from 1 minute to 10 years.
Also depends on the strategy they use.

The Taliban would take a few hours to take a major city. Sometimes they literally just walked in to collect the keys from their new office.
Obviously they have used a very different strategy (diplomacy).

Did those cucks actually take it after nearly a million casualties and all their vehicles destroyed?
First they wanted to capture what, Kiev, and a couple other cities, they failed at that.
Then they said they'd take Bahkmut, which should the russhits be believed, they finally did....but this was after coping by saying Bakhmut was "worthless and only good for staging a retreat" from the other areas they failed to capture.
So now that they have it.....now what? They are out of manpower, munitions, mobile assault platforms, and money. They have no allies, they have no global bargaining chips, they now have a worthless piece of bombed out land, by their own admission.

So what the frick are they gonna do moving forward? Tell me, I want to know. From a military standpoint their entire fighting force is in shambles and can't recover.

see, this is what I mean, you worthless russian shills come out of the woodwork to champion your phyrric victory that you yourselves said the city would be pointless to take. But this doesn't change the fact that you got your asses pounded red by hol hols to the point that you can't mount any offensives, defensives, supply lines, etc.

Frankly I have no idea how you captured Bahkmut unless you didn't, or the Ukrainians pulled out. The widely available war tally shows Ruskies are fricked, so it's not clear what's actually going on, or what you morons can really do now that you have the shell of a city.
