How is this company considered better than DD or LMT?

How is this company considered better than DD or LMT? Is it just because they sell overpriced contract shit and Stoner briefly worked for them 30 years ago?

    Are they?
    >DD
dont do anything worth the price of entry. With LMT you get mono uppers and full ambi controls, with KAC you at least get ambi controls. with even the newest DDM4, its just the same AR, but with a proprieary upper that only takes DD handguards. total meme brand.

DD barrels are literally in a class of their own. They make their own stuff in house (everything). KAC's CEO is a DUI drunk.

This, I've had trigger time behind every S-tier brand, DD hits a sweet spot between price and performance and I don't see anything more costly as really being worth the price of admission. That said I DO appreciate the engineering of things like KAC's bolt system and LMT's monolithic uppers, those features would be really nice to have as part of the milspec but don't override the utility of having really well made but easy to replace parts.

SR-15s are great if you have a FOB full of gas tubes and BCGs. If not, DD is the best preforming rifle I have when it comes to using a DIAS. Poorgay stuff like PSA and Areo choke on it every few mags. BCM is the worst of the best. Opens up a lot after just 1 mag.

Straight gas tube gay and cringe. I guess on semi autos it doesn't really matter, but this is just Nemo and Radical confirming that ((you)) will always be a cuck and never drill the forbidden hole. They know their customer base grew up without fathers, and they know you'll comply anyways when it's time to give up your guns for "public safety".

      >NATO death squads
The large frame rigles sure, but nobody uses the SR-15 as far as I know yet they get hyped as the hottest shit on Earth, especially by boomers. And DD has/had military contracts too, that's how they became big.
      >looks sick as frick
RIS II looks leagues better than that gay ass mlok SR-15 handguard which looks like Ruger MPR with a QD slot.

They're nothing super super special, they have quality parts but nothing exceptional nowadays. Back 10-15-20 years ago they blew everything else out of the water, but a lot of manufacturers have caught up. Now it just has a cloner/autism/hype tax. They're still great quality, but I wouldn't pay the asking price of them now. I'm very happy I got mine while I still worked at a premier dealer and could get mine (albeit after a 2 year wait) for cost. I'd never buy another one again however.

I thinks it’s proven the uppers are all the same in terms of reliability with cleaning and precision when spend over $1500 on the upper. Really comes down to looks and what’s available. I bought a mk18 quad rail because every sr 15 10 inch was sold out in 202H

        Φ

Nah. Mk18's are a spectacular example. Gauge your gas port, your rings, and your throat, homie.

I guess you’re saying to check my upper like a gunsmith would. I’ll look into this supposed shit quality of DD in terms of upper tolerances. Any good places to start?

            Φ

That Mk18's are dangerously overgassed and experience completely atypical gas system and throat erosion. It's a known issue and you can see the evidence of it by gauging your gun. They're a short-term use, disposable product that only someone with trillions in stolen tax dollars could think are in any way acceptable.

They are an "operator" company selling shit at govt contract markup prices and morons buy their civilian factory seconds to play operator.

Their .gov rifles aren't much better either. The M110 was one of the worst rifles issued out of the box, so much so that they started looking for a replacement for it within just a couple years. The gas system was picky and regularly failed to cycle, it would not cycle at all with ammo other than the M118LR round. Putting the suppressor on overgased the system and increased recoil plus your face would get black carbon marks over your nose, lips, and eyes.
People reported baffle strikes all the time and accuracy was spotty (idk about the last one personally).
People in 82nd opted to reissue the mk14 for deployments in afghanistan which says a lot about how poorly it was received.

Just say you can't afford it and move on.
KAC is the only company I'm aware of where barrels after 20,000 rounds are still being shot sub MOA.
