How is it possible for all these fast food franchises to exist in the us military bases? Like no other country has this capability and this shit was in war torn iraq.

God tier logistics.
best in the world
>that flag
>that body
nah m8
Stay mad gay
99% of the US military is all about logistics and maintenance. Other countries will never adopt this because it's expensive as frick and takes planning.
US combat brigades have 13+ transport trucks for every fighting vehicle.
Other Countries: We have a lean efficient military with the highest tooth to tail ratio possible
America: Frick I want burgers but I'm not in the mood for McDonalds. They need to open a Wendy's on this base or maybe a Burger King. Can we get a KFC too while we're at it?
Dad used to talk about the McDonald's they had in Vietnam.
>they don't call us burgers for nothing
Really? Haven't heard about that before; you'd think there'd be a pic of it I'd have seen here before.
Seems to be a military card.
Imagine how it would feel to kill 50 men in a firefight and then have fat steamy Whopper right after. It's King shit.
There was a story somebody posted here ages ago about getting a big mac midway through the invasion of Panama, while still holding the M60 and wearing several belts.
I don't think big macs are that heavy
None of that shit is even close to as good as the real ones stateside. Even after 9+ months there it's still shit, but not quite as shit.
I ate a plate of spaghetti shortly after putting a soldier’s intestines back into his body. It was kind of weird but it didn’t affect my appetite.
On a side note I think the standard now days is to try and keep people’s exposed guts moist and not shove them back in right away so they don’t get kinked or something. I guess we didn’t know any better when I was in.
Cool
a whooper isnt anything special
give me a wendy's baconator and MAYBE id be willing to kill 50 men for it
This goes back to WWII
The US had an "Ice cream barge" in the pacific fleet that's sole purpose was to pump out ice cream.
> The craft, a concrete barge acquired from the U.S. Army and worth $1 million, was able to create 10 US gallons (38 l) of ice cream every seven minutes, or approximately 500 US gal (1,900 l) per shift, and could store 2,000 US gal (7,600 l).
incredibly based
I bet the japanese mistook it for a carrier a dozen times
The Japs would have bombed it knowing it was an icecream carrier. After all, the only way American soldiers could be bothered to take Jap prisoners - wounded or not - was when they were bribed with icecream. Knowing being captured alive was normally not an option was a great motivator for Jap soldiers to fight to the last man.
This is why the ice cream barge was necessary in the first place, needed a constant supply of the stuff if you had any hope of herding around the zipper-heads you captured.
did any of it reach the frontline army and marines? reading Leckie and Sledge's books, it seems like the logistics situation wasn't too good in the frontlines.
> When World War II hit, countries on either side of the conflict once again banned ice cream, with Britain adding insult to injury by endorsing carrots on sticks as a wartime substitute. But the United States doubled down. Ice cream had become inseparable from the American way of life—and, from that point forward, from military tactics.
> In 1942, as Japanese torpedoes slowly sank the U.S.S. Lexington, then the second-largest aircraft carrier in the Navy’s arsenal, the crew abandoned ship—but not before breaking into the freezer and eating all the ice cream. Survivors describe scooping ice cream into their helmets and licking them clean before lowering themselves into the Pacific.
> the U.S. Army constructed miniature ice-cream factories on the front lines and began delivering individual cartons to foxholes. This was in addition to the hundreds of millions of gallons of ice-cream mix they manufactured annually, shipping more than 135 million pounds of dehydrated ice cream in a single year.
hard to find anything specific about the ice cream barge in particular, but if I had to guess it was likely anchored near major buildup points and providing ice cream to sailors and marines at a few larger staging bases, not forward combat posts or when trying to take a contested island.
God damn we really fricking wanted out ice cream back then, not even the largest war in history was gonna stop it.
it was something of an old habit from prohibition, people who didnt want to go blind from a speakeasy tended to visit soda shops to have a pint of ice cream
even though prohibition had been lifted by WW2, alcohol was still nominally banned while on service, so those ice cream eating habits resurfaced
another thing is that sugar was rationed during WW2
sugar displaced real food in farms, so its use had to be strictly observed
the only exceptions made were for chocolate (it gives a quick boost of sugar and caffeine to troops), coca-cola (they were granted a ration exception on the condition they provide soldiers with enough), and ice cream (same reason as cola, soldiers need every little bit of help with morale)
there is a less-clinical side to warfare, which is keeping soldiers more sane with a constant supply of sweets
army food is crap, combat is miserable, and you can di at any moment
but a nice cold scoop of ice cream can make that life easier
its easy to dismiss it as an unnecessary luxury, but time and time again its been proven you have to keep morale up in the army, it matters a lot more than most people would think
iirc the Marines only got luxury like ice-cream on Banika. Not even Pavuvu had them. It seems the ice cream mostly went to those in the back, far from the from, like Henderson field in the latter stages of Guadalcanal or the landing beaches during late Peleliu and Okinawa campaigns.
Not when they were up front, obv.
Even when those guys were rotated out their life was made pretty shit. Probably the decision by their officers, 'we're a hard chargin fightin unit, we don't need no stinkin morale boosters' John Wayne bullshit
Even US submarines had Ice cream machines on board
>sink a Japanese ship
>enjoy a sundae
just like your mother
For American troops, hamburgers are an essential food. Without a steady supply of hamburgers they will wither away until they are completely useless on the battlefield, not even able to operators their iPads or drone Gameboys.
the power of freedom and capitalism
That story was fricking wholesome holy frick
a German tank ace wrote in his memoir that he knew the war was lost when, upon being captured by an American tank crew, the yanks didn't bother turning off the idling Sherman to save fuel while processing his squad.
american logistics are da best
I used to work EMS and was only allowed to turn off my ambulance to refuel it or when my shift was over and I was removed from service by dispatch. The rational is that I couldn't guarantee that my ambulance would start again if we got a call. Could be something like that, no guarantee the Sherman would start again.
huh
Same on the railroad, not allowed to turn off a hirail truck while on rails just on the tiny off chance that it won't start again and then maybe start causing train delays & wasted diesel fuel.
EMS here, too. One of the other main reasons is you don't want to drain the battery and have the rig not able to start because of how much energy it takes to run the refrigeration unit inside. The only time the engine is off is when the rig is plugged into the charging bay.
Snowplow driver here, other than to refuel or get repaired we dont turn those things off until spring.
>Could be something like that, no guarantee the Sherman would start again.
this is likely the case. shermans were powered by radial aircraft engines, and while radial engines were very reliable while they were running, they were not reliable to get started, often taking many tries to get them to 'catch'. they are not "turn the key and go" type of engines whatsoever. would be very bad to have to get out of an area quickly and your radial won't start
>shermans were powered by radial aircraft engines
that's bollocks
>that's bollocks
k
calm down
>Chrysler multibank
>the unholy union of 6 flathead I6s
Give it to me straight, how much of a bastard was this thing to maintain?
apparently, in a test between M4 variants, the A3 performed the best as expected followed by the A2
the A1 ended up being the least reliable
the A4 was an odd duck, it was technically the most reliable as it didnt malfunction once
but it suffered the most extreme degradation in performance and was barely moving by the end but still technically worked
The M4's with the Radial were good too, but the problem was there were not enough engines to go around to satisfy both Tank and Airplane demands. Which was why there were so many engine options for the Sherman as everyone who built these tanks had their own idea on how to power them.
The best engine used on the sherman was the Ford GAA V8, and this was in the A3 and was hoarded by the USA. The Multibank (as fricking awesome it is to hear in person) was a nightmare to maintain which was why we just gave almost all of them to the British. The Russians got a good number of the A2 because of the Diesel engine.
also presumably to help streamline logistics
since mixing A1/A2/A3/A4 in a single unit is a recipe for disaster
so old units kept their A1s until the end of the war, even when the A3 was available
the A3 was never lend-leased, so that as much of their army would use it as possible
so they only had to worry about 2 types and it was easier to keep the units using them seperate
while the A2 and A4 were the lend-lease fodder
though the brits got several A1s for north africa
The parent engines were so reliable I was driving USAF Coleman tugs with them into the 1990s so two was probably not horrible. Flathead sixes are as simple as it gets for truck and tank engines.
>this is likely the case
that is not the case. there is always low, but real chance you won't be able to turn on ANY engine. In military (firefighting and EMS) redundancy in name of the game. You are just a gay.
>You are just a gay.
you obviously don't know what you are talking about. radials are exceptionally temperamental to start up. that's what happens when half your cylinders are upside down and you can't seal them properly so they leak oil, fuel and exhaust, and you have an odd-numbered firing order. once they are running they're great, but even the most well-maintained radials hate getting started, and the vast majority of shermans ever made were fitted with radials
thanks for proving my point?
Idling a radial engine causes fouling of the spark plugs. It's not a concern with planes since they'll only briefly be at low throttle but on a tank it's murder on the engines. Spark plugs were almost regarded as daily consumables by Sherman crews.
Reminds me of another anecdote where a German soldier rummaged through a dead GI's field ration pack, and to his shock he found things like coffee powder, chocolate bars, and cigarettes, which were all things only provided to officers in the German army at the time.
Thats kind of because of the blockade, and America only just joined the war while not themselves being blockaded or requiring much dangerous long-haul shipping for their domestic consumer goods, while Germany and Britain had been going at it since 1939, and rationing was strict as both were in a state of total war.
Coffee, chocolate and cigarettes were all commonly distributed to German forces during ww2. I grant you, it gradually became ersatz products but I still question the validity of your 'shocked german soldier' story.
>a German tank ace wrote in his memoir that he knew the war was lost when, upon being captured by an American tank crew, the yanks didn't bother turning off the idling Sherman to save fuel while processing his squad.
This is the dumbest war anecdote I absolutely believe.
>This is the dumbest war anecdote I absolutely believe.
a lot of german memoirs mention different permutations of the same thing: "we knew the war was over when we saw the americans doing something that didnt imply strict rationing"
another one involving shermans was that they saw a bunch of M4 shermans without any markings on them
and when they asked, they were shocked to learn that they simply waiting for someone to ask for them, and it was then it dawned on him how many tanks the US actually had
I'm trying to find the source, but I'm like 95% sure that's how it went down
>In 1943, American heavy-bomber crews figured out they could make ice cream over enemy territory by strapping buckets of mix to the rear gunner’s compartment before missions. By the time they landed, the custard would have frozen at altitude and been churned smooth by engine vibrations and turbulence
why are americans so fat
>why are americans so fat
Yeah
>Americans are so much better than Europe at war they can dedicate payload to fricking CUSTARD
>Americans are so fat that they need dedicated ice-cream and hamburger carriers
we keep it 55th.
>ywn firebom a German city and then come back and eat freshly churned ice cream
because we can afford to be. why can't you?
Everybody who can afford to be, is.
Including the Chinese.
The only ones that have somehow staved it off are the Japanese and French and only to a very limited degree.
Because they can buy food
Because of sugar in literally everything, and driving everywhere.
But tbf i really want bomber ice cream now.
>driving everywhere
Not inherent to the issue, but definitely a factor. In the amount of time you save by driving a mile instead of walking, you can go to the gym, come home, shower, and change. Any other walking you avoid is just extra free time you get to enjoy. Now, how many people ACTUALLY go to the gym thanks to the time they save? Probably very few.
yes, but we (burgers) only have to drive int he first place due to badly designed cities (which are hard to fix because Black folk) relative to europe or asia. in a traditional city you can walk to all those places faster than you drive to them here.
American cities aren't badly designed, they're great at what they were actually designed for, which is being spread out so much it's impossible to really kill that many people with a single nuclear strike, and to claim sovereignty over swaths of land that can fit most of Europe many times and is full of nomadic barbarians.
The US is a deconcentrated territory by design. It's meant to dominate as much land as possible with the least people possible. Every technology, law and tradition in the US is a development in how to make living far away from everything somehow practical and comfortable, from the airplane to satellite communications to online shopping.
This is the most american thing I've ever read
God bless America
Hell yeah brother
God bless America
You homosexuals will miss us so much when we're gone
>when we’re gone
Only thing left will be ashes if America is gone, and that’s bec Chang or vlad finally lost their fricking minds
nah
Yeah, probably
Eurocucks already live in a socialist dystopia and are allergic to freedom. Being ruled by chinks would be optimal to them
Nah we are returning to a world of true multipolarity, this is a good thing, china isnt going to rule shit, aside from maybe some parts of africa, but you know what africans are like. This isnt the cold war and that time will never come again, even if we have another world or cold war, and if we do, then America wont be the one profiting off of it, America is in the position now that Britain was after WW1, it might win another world or cold war, but it will not profit from it. Too much debt, too many social problems, too much state bloating, too much corporate interference, too precarious a macroeconomic situation with regards to its industry and its controlled export markets as well as a shaky internal market, growing agitation within imperial populations and various institutional figures doing nothing but stoking the flames or passively allowing them to get worse. America isnt neccessarily doomed, but its time as hegemon is going as the concept becomes retired, in favour of primus inter pares for the NATO camp, at least as long as the EU still isnt a country and as long as the USA doesnt split up again or Britain doesnt reform the dominions.
Americans are less free than anyone in Europe as Americans have no right to resist wrongful arrest, no right to healthy food (American food is labelled unfit for human consumption in the EU, much like chinese crap), have for-profit prisons that legally enslave people, and can be crippled by debt over medical issues. And "cops" wander around with guns, essentially mini warlords, accountable only to their own departments who always rule themselves innocent, and you get to play a game of life or death whenever one stops you or takes issue with you, if he thinks your hands are moving in a funny way. Like that time the "cop" in a hotel blasted a guy he was forcing to crawl on the floor, or the time the NYPD started shooting at random cars when gigachad dorner was on the loose, who they proceed to set on fire.
tl;dr
>two more weeks until America collapses
>Americans ackshully aren't free because food
tl;dr
>america is no longer dominant and no country will be in future
>americans have no legal protection from their police or, i forgot to mention, a duty from the police to assist them
>americans have a lower quality of life as they can be legally poisoned and fed animal food
>words words words
blow it out your ass, Hans Scwasslaskskopftoygelschmitzen Dyetlovskayanova III
All this seething and coping.
America is still currently the dominant country, as much as we're trying to frick it up.
It is called a gun and legal self defense. You can shoot a cop legally - you're just not going to find a situation like that all too often. See Ruby Ridge exoneration.
This last thing is just whining. We have unhealthy food but we also have a lot of fricking farms and produce. I think my state alone is responsible for like at least 80% of the ALL the cherries china imports. And I'm not in a behemoth of a state
You're a salty european homosexual.
Imagine actually writing this all out
Christ that’s just embarrassing
yuropoors are extremely fragile, it's almost as bad as chinks
americans cannot into full sentences, too many word
As shit as America may be now, Western Europe is literally a region of eunuchs who lived fat and happy off of the deaths of millions before them and America right behind them for decades. They so desperately want to believe they’re in some grand utopia a la Star Trek or some shit that they will blatantly ignore everything around them until it is too late. Its also why they reeeee so much about America, because deep down they know that the US was the only thing stopping the Soviets from making the whole continent and beyond red and tarnishing their little mouse experiment. From what I've read there was a similar attitude post-WW1. It's the same mentality that made Chamberlain so desperate to appease Hitler; the idea that we hadn't moved on into some higher understanding of humanity was more horrific to the older generation of Brits than the idea of being conquered.
Thankfully Churchill and the younger generation weren't quite so blind. Hopefully we'll get a repeat of that.
Pure delusion, nobody thinks anywhere in europe is a utopia, but everyone sees America as a dystopian shithole.
America mostly war profited off of both world wars and joined late both times, every country thinks they won the war themselves so no point arguing about it. Chamberlain was weak but nobody actually wanted WW2, Hitler included, and ethnic unity was insisted on at versailles so it was hard to say no. As for post-war, Churchill was preparing to go ahead with operation unthinkable while the US still treated the USSR as allies, sharing classified documents and tech with them until 1948. You wont read more words and cant understand paragraphs.
>everyone sees America as a dystopian shithole
As i said, eurocucks are allergic to freedom and every single one of them worth a frick either moved to America or died in the World Wars
>this level of cope
lol
lmao
>no u
>again
>everyone sees America as a dystopian shithole
every visitor I've met here thinks well of the USA.
>Pure delusion, nobody thinks anywhere in europe is a utopia, but everyone sees America as a dystopian shithole.
Both viewpoints are overexaggerated moronation. Plus, no, they fricking don't. The average American doesn't think Europeans believe they live in a Utopia, and no, the average European doesn't think the US is a dystopian shithole. If you actually travel a bit, you'd see that everyday life in both places is pretty much the same for both.
>little mouse experiment
This is a great way to describe Europe, I'm using it now
>we saved you goym
thanks appreciate it
>u jelly
no, is it weird that id rather live in my own country with my own people or do you believe that your bunghole is literally the be all end all of human civilisation?
is this how americans cope with not having any history?
i am european and hes right
everyone in europe is a cattle that bootlicks the government while being severely afraid of guns and freedom
>europe is a country
youre either german or not european
Ah yes because we love guns so much and we have such good gun laws right? Learn to fricking admit where we lack in something.
right about what? His disjointed paragraph didnt even make a point.
As for the guns i could buy a shotgun and pistol in a few years but unfortunately im on a list.
>right about what?
Europe being a little mouse experiment/Star Trek utopia larp, it's the perfect definition for it.
Thats no way to speak about the old continent, the cradle of modern civilisation and western values.
What country are you from?
Switzerland
Oh shit I remember that BB gun.
based
>mention the fact Europe is a socialist authoritarian dystopia

You cant refute a single word i typed, or even understand them, pure ameriBlack person copium lmao
what is there to refute? you only wrote ad hominem
in europe you
>can't own guns
>in the chance you get a rare and expensive gun license, you can't conceal much less open carry guns or use said guns for self defense
>is forced to take the jab
>is forced to pay huge taxes
>lives in a pod
>soon won't even be able to eat meat anymore as eurocuck government is literally forcing farmers to shut down operations
No, i wrote facts and you are on pure copium rn

And?
The bottom picture depicts a Western European killing Slavs moron. What the frick does that meme have to do with America?
>child sacrifice
Never happened.
There was never a crusade against the Vikings.
Burger education everyone.
You’re not allowed to own land or businesses in Europe? Since when?
Since 2020ish
Especially if you're a farmer or a small business
This europoor doesn’t even know where dorner lived
Lmao I was in Germany and the UK not 2 weeks ago, yall eat the same garbage we do and your cities are just as shit as ours, they just have more old shit in them. The only difference is that yuropoors are clearly still mad that you all blew your load 80 years ago and cant get it up again because youre too comfortable being America's b***hes.
Also,
> "cops" wander around with guns, essentially mini warlords
I saw a 20 something year old female German cop patrolling Cologne with an MP5, that shit wouldnt fly here lmao
She cant hose down someone and claim he put his hand in his pocket, then get internally investigated and exonerated, and police in america walk around with guns all the time, frick not even police, how many federal agencies have their own paramilitary forces?
Lying sack of shit.
Go to your grocery store for some of your horsemeat lasagna.
The first paragraph was solid.
The second one? Not so much.
Black person you wrote "america" and "too many social programs" in the same sentence, fricking apply yourself
>You homosexuals will miss us so much when we're gone
We really won't.
see
Dumbass, you want someone else to do everything for you.
What will happen when EVERYONE is like you?
My grandfather (B-29 ground crew) used to tell stories about that. If I remember right he said they did it when they had to take a plane up to check out newly-installed/overhauled engines, I don't think he mentioned them doing it on combat missions.
These stories are bullshit. Vibration is not churning.
Buy some ice cream, let it melt in the fridge, then freeze it. That is what would result.
My freezer doesn't vibrate.
The b17 I got to ride in did. Especially in the tailgun
Vibration will get the very last air bubbles out.
Ignorance is tolerable, but you appear wilfully stupid.
European
>Thats bullshit 4 engines bigger than my can't possibly duplicated the sophistication of moving a liquid while at low temps. Especially not at high altitude with low temps
You are stupid
No U.
Have you never made ice cream at home?
no, I make mine in a world war 2 bomber, you fricking idiot
i'm proud to be an American
The Afrika Corp would allegedly strap aquired bottles of Coca Cola to aircraft wings to get them nice and cold. A cool drink in the hot desert
civilian franchises inside military bases arent unique to the us but the ones i've seen outside the us are usually just small convenience stores and not fast food
a military base is however a very good place to open a fast food place in/near whether you win a tender to work inside the base or not
>bme
>younger, new wife
>living island life on Coronado as a civie

Good times, bros. Real good.
Thats a pretty mundane story dude. Why did you even feel the need to post that.
I know they are fake but I wanna suckle on Ava Addam's breasts for hours on end.
You eat shit and have sex. Bravo, sir. I truly envy you
Not weapons related.
/k/ is a board devoted to weapons and military equipment.
burger king is military equipment when it goes in a military base
burgers are military rations
Weapons are in the OP pic. What open carry would you bring to BK? There now this is 100% /k/

there is no nu-/k/.
just a bunch of dimwitted troll brigades raiding what used to be a decent board
I never said they’re not raiding us too.
Probably a 629, 92FS or USP
God tier morbid obesity and diabetes. US goblins would riot if the base didn't have their Macdonalds, Xbox, etc.
Note, they don't even bother teaching them to cook dry rations despite the fact carrying rice, flour, oil, dehydrated beans/veg, is several times as efficient for weight per calorie and healthier.
US soldiers have to stay tethered to their vehicles because they need water filled "rib shaped pork patties," with the M&M candies all sealed up for them since working a small stove is considered too difficult. They've luckily only fought in open areas lately, but Korea showed how fricked a military could get by being bound completely to the road.
Lmao imagine the ass hurt that went into this and the inevitable reply to my post
Lmfao so much salt
Hoes mad!
>carrying rice, flour, oil, dehydrated beans/veg, is several times as efficient for weight per calorie
Extra moronic
Hoes mad

literally nowhere i would rather live
Hoes mad
the person you are responding too is a pro-hohol homosexual kek
Alright, I know everyone's shitting on him but please explain to a non-american noguns. What would happen if USA did fight a near-peer force who hs put up such a fight that the logistics have been severely strained so the only thing that can be brought up is essential equipment and ammunition. I'm sure the entire american military doctrine doesn't hinge on Burger King.
>USA did fight a near-peer force
and who would that be
Aliens
alternate universe america
I love the Doppelganger trope
>Americans with unpoliced mustaches
>americans shit and cum and start deflecting
Thank you for the new shoes!
Not Russia any more.
In this hypothetical scenario, it isn’t the lack of burgers that would be the issue. If an adversary had the dominance to completely cut off logistics in that fashion, it means they’ve likely either shut down the ability of americas air assets to function, or are somehow otherwise able to operate despite said Air Force/navy etc. During Afghanistan random outposts in isolated valleys weren’t getting BK and McD’s delivered yet American soldiers and marines were still fighting daily despite constant mortar and rpg attacks.
Food is essential equipment. Americans have field rations, they have field kitchens. They are plenty of things they can and do eat besides burgers, if you hang around /k/ you are certain to see lively debates over which MREs are trash and which are good. Burger King and the like is just a bonus that helps improve morale away from the front, it doesn't strain logistics so it's seen as NBD.
Also contrary to what
is bleating about, they way the US ships rations (everything packaged together) enormously simplifies logistics. All the materials are combined and cooked in fricking Wisconsin or somewhere and then all that needs to be shipped is one container labeled food. Doing it the other way is asking for some poor shmucks to end up with a truck full of beets and nothing else.
Before operations, there’s more than enough MREs to live off of for at least double the slated time. Again though if logistics are so strained that dudes can’t even pack enough chow for themselves, they’d probably just pull back to where the lines are stable
Same shit that has happened for centuries. Field rations (MRE) away from base, forward base set up with military cooks/chow. Rinse and repeat. The primary difference and what makes the YS unique is that they can open up fricking minimarts in FOBs so deep in the world that the most countries have trouble even getting their troops to.
>is several times as efficient for weight per calorie
>rice and flour are efficient weight per calorie
>rice and flour are healthy and not empty carbs which are worse for your body than amino acids, protein and fat
>anything you listed being a source of B12
So do you think it makes more sense that American troops are “tethered” to vehicles because of food needs, or because they’re mechanized infantry? Anyway yes, prepackaged premade food is very optimal, hence why every country has their own versions of MREs. Everything premade and prepackaged in CONUS. Also it doesn’t require water, only the MRE heater does, and that’s just a luxury thing. I’ve eaten plently without touching the heater, or even taking it out pre op to save on weight
>those cheap prices
how tf can they supply all that food in middle of nowhere at a price not much different than in the big cities? are they not making a profit or military subsidizes the cost?
It was also 20 years ago+Government paying out the ass to get them there
>military subsidizes the cost?
gee, what do you think, genius? you think some congressman wants a call from a soldier asking him why the big mac on the fob costs $80 out of his pocket?
Rent is often low or waived.
you are talking about the same army that
>brought its own harbor to Normandy
>laid its own fuel lines on the bottom of the English channel
>operated the greatest naval fighting force in the history of man with the ability to be forward deployed indefinably
having burger king at some base is literally nothing in comparison
Because we’re so used to the idea that the US Army just doing this shit that we get thrown off at the idea of Burger King because it’s not what they usually do but in retrospect makes perfect sense because of course they can.
>brought its own harbor to Normandy
>laid its own fuel lines on the bottom of the English channel
>operated the greatest naval fighting force in the history of man with the ability to be forward deployed indefinably
Why post Sherman when you are talking about things the British did?
Brits also did the 1st 2, but USN supplied the Far East Fleet. But Britain supplied the Great White Fleet so it's all good.
If I had to choose between Burger King and MREs I'd choose MREs every day. Seriously I never got stomach problems from military rations but the disgusting filfth Burger King serves as food had me shitting like crazy.
Also I would be really interested in the sizes of the burgers from McDonalds from an army base from Germany to a normal McDonalds here. I bet they didn't shrunk them like they did in our civilian branches.
burgers want their burgers
>burgers gonna burger
its a beautiful thing
They are in countries at peace. They hire local shitskins to staff them and many of these countries already have the foodchain in them so it not even a logistics issue but a vetting one at the gate.
I don’t think people grasp the level of logistical prowess the US has. We literally have two brigades worth of equipment, pre loaded on ships anchored in Diego Garcia, just waiting for someone to frick around.

The Military Star card is a credit card basically run by the Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) and only accepted in military stores like the PX and Commissary, although it offers special benefits for personnel such as reduced interest rates while deployed. Only eligible military patrons like service members, their families, certain veterans, and certain DOD civilians can get it.

Thr U.S. has been the world's king of logistics since WW2 started.
I want to see the final destination where we don't even need to land and we just drop Burger Kings out of the sky like drone strikes. Some tribal wedding goes up from the blast wave of impact, village destroyed completely, Burger King arrival with proper effect on target.
How much do deployed Burger King employees get paid? This is not a joke, I really want an answer.
holy fricking based
They're probably KBR or whatnot contractors under a multi-contract agreement, with each company taking a cut down the line until they get peanuts. When I did DOD contracting stateside I got $15/hr, but the government paid $50/hr for my work. It was a racket.
True for all consulting/contracting work. My first job out of college I was making 40k a year, firm was billing me out at (IIRC) 200/hr. I drove a 20 year old Civic. My boss drove a WRX. His boss drove an Audi S8.
In-N-Out is the king of burgers.
Why would I care who someone else fricks?
I'm not the one that has to frick them
Morale is way higher when soldiers can get foods they're used to having at home so it pays for the military to subsidize those chains being there. American logistics is the best in the world.
The Taco Bell in Kuwait had volcano items. This was in 2019-20.
>no other country has this capability
Many countries do; Canada had a tim hortons in Afghanistan for example.
Most prefer not to though, actually feeding their soldiers instead of farming it out to private for profits
>Most prefer not to though
Tim Horton's was on KAF as I remember, on the boardwalk with the roller hockey rinks. There was a pizza place near it with a chicken tikka masala pizza. Man was that good.
>America's tail slaps harder than the Bear's (or the Dragon's) teeth
lol
wumao even
>choice between MRE's causing you extreme constipation and the inability to shit
>or fast food causing you extreme diarrhea and the inability to not stop shitting.
Fast food for me, tastier and constipation sucks and is painful.
When I was overseas, they gave us a film for distribution that showed the resturants in the enhanced super bases. The Black folk were watching it literally drooling. That night they didn't even taste the garbage burnt rice from the canteen trailer. Al the could do is chatter about how America was rich.
>How is it possible for all these fast food franchises to exist in the us military bases?
If you look you will see the menu is slightly restricted. Burger King is great though definitely better than McDonalds. Their double bacon with cheese is a great burger. Fries are good too
>Burger King is great though definitely better than McDonalds.
I think both are bottom tier fast food. Good burgers are from In-n-out, Wendy's, and Jack in the Box.
yawnnn tell me when they get Wendy's
i fricking love free markets and capitalism. That image is a mona lisa tier shit. Frick the commie overlords hail US freedom.
Based
Burger truck arrive
just look at the delight in her face. She's just got moist
that's some toby keith, brought to you by the usa tier shit
I love DCUs
feeding soldiers shit like that should not be a source of pride. fat and lazy
Cope
When something is good for morale, it's good to find a way to provide it.
When rum rations stopped in the Royal Navy, they changed to three tins of beer a day, because while that's not enough to get drunk on, those little distractions are an important release valve for stress.
Because when you run a global Army you invest in things to make your global presence easieer. One of these things is contracts to provide food for soldiers to spend money on. This tradition has tons of history in seafaring nations with onboard ship stores where sailors would spend their pay on luxuries/little things/candy. In the modern age this transitioned from camp followers/local industry accomodating armies to armies accomodating themselves. Whats even more interesting is that the US maintains two seperate military store/food court systems one used/maintained by Army/Airforce contracts and one maintained by the Navy contracts. Supposedly this exists still because Naval Exchanges required better service/goods (or so the rumor goes).
>>mfw calling in hamburgers, danger close
Huh I always assumed every military in the world does that with local fast food chains as a type of morale booster.
>ywn kill Filipino communists with Vietnam-era equipment
>ywn eat a bag of yumburgers with your comrades afterward
To envy a third world nation is a baffling emotion.
The promise of burger will turn a meek, mild-mannered american boy into a relentless, vicious killing machine.
Goyslop is part of US troops morale.
and expired MREs are part of eastoid morale
Who cooks and does maintenance in these?
How much do they get paid?
I can't imagine them being regular normie burger flippers
Contractors like Brown and Root
This was the Clinton Bush Obama military and Obama especially was helping on feminizing American armed forces in Burger King is famously loaded with estrogen and is the gayest of all fast food franchises. Burger King on military bases was a military operation and weapon of War but not against the official enemy Force but against the almost exclusively conservative white male American Cadre of troops. Especially those in actual combat on the ground in the dirt. Remember that when the israeli Communists were running the USSR even in the middle of World War II they were happy to kill more Russians than the Germans behind the lines for political reasons. That is where Obama came from.
>Burger King is famously loaded with estrogen and is the gayest of all fast food franchises.
Tell me you're a Q Anon freak without telling me you're a Q Anon freak.
He’s not wrong though.
>Like no other country has this capability and this shit was in war torn iraq.
Every nato country could do this. Stop thinking a shitty mobile kitchen is somehow special.
larpagans are so fragile
>says the crusading christian internet defence force
Ya not that guy but you're obviously the most booty blasted here
I just don’t like it when people post historically inaccurate bullshit.
>n-no u
lmfao
Who are you responding to moron?I bet you’re a leaf.
Competent logistics
Mutts can fight a war for 20 years on a different continent and not sweat
>putting your soldiers in debt to ensure them to have no choice but to enslave themselves to die for the israelites
ONLY IN BURGERLAND
>buy one burger
>goes in debt
are europoors really THIS poor?
Yes lol

Tfw your system is so shitty that a drunken oaf visiting a second-rate grocery store abroad kills his lifelong fate in it and motivates him to successfully bring about its collapse

You fool, I'm not even using 6% of my power...
Wonder if it was an HEB that broke his spirit
Question for veterans: is Burger King ubiquitous on US military bases? Do you get better fast food franchises, or is Burger King really the best we're giving the troops?
Burger King and Subway have the AAFES fast food contracts, so yes, they're ubiquitous.
Contractors contracted by one company that was subcontracted by another, and then another, and another. All the way down. Government pays $50/hour for the guys work, he makes like $15 if he's lucky after each subcontracting company takes a cut.
>Burger King and Subway have the AAFES fast food contracts, so yes, they're ubiquitous.
Is that because they were the lowest bidders? Is there any better fast food? Cause if not, it's a fricking travesty that the best US logistics can provide is fricking Burger King and Subway
>government NOT choosing the lowest bidder
It's because they negotiated to be the AAFES food court you dipshit. They are not, nor have they ever been the primary food source for any mil branch. They are a luxury item imported so soldiers can spend a few dollars from their paycheck for a taste of home.
You're mentally moronic anon.
>he makes like $15 if he's lucky
Bullshit, they made more than that with per diem alone.
Say, /k/, who works in these fast food chains in enemy country? Military dudes? Friendly locals? Or does the franchise send some poor dudes abroad?
>Hey, Jose, you're gonna be deployed
>B...but this is Burger King?!
>Yeah, and?
Back then, civilian contractors from companies like Halliburton/Brown and Root. Someone who served food in Iraq probably made 70k+ a year. They'd maintain bases, fuel supplies, drive trucks, feed troops, laundry, etc.
Not the TCNs, but the wypipo running the show.
Graft and lobbying in the military industrial complex are not just bullets and bombs, it's bandages and beans as well.
This is a lesson seen through out history the Romans and brits had the same thing going on. We are powerful enough to make our troops cozy in the shit. This leads to having a military that is not good when a near pear or simply smart enough inferior advisery can force us into some real shit.
Technologically inferior forces are less effected by pore living condetions.
>poor people are stronger because they can eat dirt
this is such an absurd and frankly stupid statement
It's the pallets and forklifts
>CONUS
40,000 sad, single guys all taking lunch at the same time in what is otherwise an isolated wasteland
>OCONUS
government pays company to service said sadsacks while they're deployed to wherever, usually staffed by locals or this cabal of Filipinos that seems to manifest at every DoD installation no matter how remote
>40,000 sad, single guys all taking lunch at the same time in what is otherwise an isolated wasteland
Projecting much? Can you even find a US base without all the modern conveniences AND modern chow halls? (Pics required.)
What's it like living in bizarro world anon?
This is back when Burger King was still decent too. Now I bet we'd have In-n-Out and Raising Cane's in Lviv.
Raising Canes is overrated diarrhea. In-n-out is also overrated but still okay.
the cane's where I live is actually pretty decent, you must be from a white area.
>the cane's where I live is actually pretty decent, you must be from a white area.
Raising Canes is trash weather Blapipo or Whipipo make it. 99% of fried chicken is trash in general.
